  1. You can get a 60 day extension to visit your wife.

Your wife will need to be with you when you apply. You will need your marriage certificate plus a copy, copies of your wife's house book registry and ID card. If not living where your wife's house book is for you will need proof of residence.

Hi. So what would be in my case extension.

    Not married with baby.

Gf need to be with me?

And instead of marriage cert. baby birth cert.

    Correct?

They would expect the baby to be with you. If their mother was with you that would also help.

Birth certificate and copy of their house book registry,

    Terrible

Why baby needs to be there

    I dont get it

  3. Hi. Still in Penang.

Im not married and got baby with thai woman.

Went to apply for multi non O.

From forum I was made to belive all I need is

    Passport

Birth cert with my name in it

House book with baby name in it

    Gf signed copy of ID

    Bank book with 100 000.

On the spot it ended up its 400 000 for multi entry.

    100 000 for single entry.

And if its your first baby non O they will issue single entry anyway.

And second time you can get multi entry non O.

Talked to banana agents and Jim they said 400k then went apply in person.

Got single entry with 100k and first time.

Second time i need 400k for multi.

    Hope it helps.

Thx everyone for previous help here.

  4. I was talking to the (competent) agent I use in Penang about a month ago. They said the consulate is initially only giving single entry Non O, but will give a multiple entry if you apply a second time. It sounded odd, but this experience seems to confirm that.

Did the agent mention what the requirements for financial proof are? BeefSlapper's report seems to suggest 100K for a single O and 400K for a multi. I used Savannakhet last year and was contemplating going to Penang this year instead but if the bar has been raised to 400K for a multi and only given to those who have applied before I'll have to reconsider.

Yes sir u got it right.

    Im still in Penang.

Talked to 2 agents Bananas and Jimy 1both said 400k then apply in person and it was 400k

I have heard that as well.

But i already had non-o multiple from previous consulate.

It's just a matter of requesting the multiple non-o and showing a bank statement >100k baht (can be non-thai bank) in addition to the other paperwork. They dont even really look at the bank statement too hard. You put all the paperwork in order...he checks each document quickly, ask you a question about the category visa and then requests the fee.

But even if it is true that you may need a [recent] prior non-o single /multiple first, then you may have to do another trip. A pain, but not insurmountable .

    http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/879418-guide-travelling-to-george-town-penang-and-back-to-thailand/

The only problem with train option is that because of afternoon pickup time is too late, you need to stay an extra day.

    Its 400k for multi now.

    100k single

  6. Whats the fee in penang for non o multi. Or best whats the fee in banana agents. Thx

Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

The fee is 750 MYR for a multiple entry visa. If I recall correctly the agent charges 50 MYR do do the application.
    Im in banana agents now.

    Got trouble.

I dont know its me or them

They says for multi entry 400k in bank.

    Single entry is 100k

I just put 100k and they says im getting single entry non O

    Thats messed up

    Is that correct?

They says always was like that.

How come reports ppl geting multi with 100k?

  7. Not sure what you mean by child dependency.

If you are a parent to a Thai child you get a single entry non-o visa based upon that with only you name on the birth certificate at an embassy or consulate. Some will also issue a multiple entry non-o visa.

To apply for a multiple entry non-o visa at some locations or to apply for a one year extension of stay based upon being the parent of a Thai immigration you will need to legitimize your parenthood. See: How To Gain Parental Rights As A Father

In bold, not required in Penang. For one year non O they are asking for details of Thai Bank account and copies signed by the Thai parent also.

I am aware of Penang's requirements. If you look at line two I wrote some will do it with just his name on the birth certificate.

I'll be going to Penang in June to get non o, and just to clarify this is what I'm intending to do.

(I'm father of a one year old born in Thailand to Thai mum, I'm UK , but no marriage nor legalised yet)

    Original documents

    -Child registration pink book

    -My passport

    Printouts

-Internet banking statement showing 100k minimum Thai baht (do they confirm with the bank that that funds are there on the day, do they need the funds to have been in for a certain length of time?).

I don't know if anyway to get original statements from my bank. I have a savings book but I won't be not in Thailand to get it updated.

    Copies (all signed by mother)

-Stamped official translation of child - birth certificate with me shown on document

-Thai birth certificate of child birth as above

    -Mother Thai ID

Thanks a lot for any help in pointing out whether I'm missing anything.

No translation of the birth certificate is needed if it is in Thai or English.

You will need the birth certificate plus a copy and a copy of the child's house book registry (it is blue not pink). You can sign the the copies yourself there no requirement for the child's mother to do it.

You can update your bank book before you leave Thailand. No need for an update on the date you apply. The 100k baht only has to be in bank on the date your apply no need for it to be there any amount of time.

So birth cert orig and copy...

  8. Is it my gf copy of ID card got to be certified?

    How do I do that?

Shes going with me if thats change anything.

You don't really need a copy of her ID card. Certified means signed by her.
When I apply for that baby visa, do I give them copies or orginals, like house book copy or orginal, wife ID copy that I know, bank book copy of the balance page or whole orginal book? Baby birth cert orig or copy?

    All I need is :

    1 My passport

2 House book with baby name in it

    3 Baby birth cert

    4 Bank book with 100k

    5 GF signed ID

I would go through banana guesthouse agent, they were good with my ED visa. Normaly they got application forms there, but is there somewhere I can download hat Penang form and fill it up.

I choose there Multientry Non Immigrant visa type O?

    or there is no type.

    Thx again.

Ok i see in above its all copies.

Thanks. I understand now, I thought you meant the pink birth book everyone gets in Thailand when pregnant.

Does my name need to be in the Ta Bien Baan (blue book), it is not at present, and I doubt it could be without a residential visa...sorry if sounds stupid question!

Bank book with 100k will be tricky as I will be coming from UK to Penang, and intended transferring money into Thai account online, so wont be able to get the savings book updated. It only shows 20k at present. Any suggestions? Printouts?

    Thanks again

Only the page in the tambien ban where your child's name is. Yours normally would not be there.

They should accept a printout from online banking.
