  1. The government spent $3 millions resulted in hotels fully booked, flooding tourist, busy restaurants and tourist attractions. 3 million dollars for an economy booster shot on a low tourist season after chinese new year, I would like to think that it is money well spent.

Thailand should grab future opportunity and offer 5 millions since it's a huge country but I worried will Taylor will get the amount at the end of the day.

You are the one that stirred the pot trying to signaled possible corruption/bribery 2 weeks ago... have you checked your own backyard?

  2. The purpose is to have a deeper understanding about lamyai farming.

I bought about 11 rai in fang 2016 and planted 500 lamyai trees which 100 are dead.

The tress was not taken care for the pass 7 years, so I have about 400 wild unhealthily looking trees.

Since my little business in northeastern is getting more stable, I was thinking to invest 50-100k a year to upkeep the trees.

Would experienced farmers be so kind to give advice how should I go about?

Addition information - the tress now vary between 1.5 - 2m tall and width about 1 - 1.5m.

This year small fruit started to appear which old people went to collected 1.4 ton. Most are not even AA small fruit.

Note that these trees are abandon, no pruning, fertilizer, water, whatsoever.

  3. I use .com

.co.th has to be registered with a certain gov agency web designer company. By not having .co.th I didn't feel any bad effect on my small business all these years. I didn't have any trouble with authorities too. Personally I don't think it makes any sense unless you are running a iconic mega company like DTAC, Google, shoppe, etc.

  4. The answer for the first question is Yes. Tax collected is for province building purposes and the business had to be operated in that province.

During registration, address must be provided with hand drawn maps of the actual location. It can be a residential address and a rented property. The address can be change at a later date but if same province most agent charge 3-5k baht and if different province they charge 12-15k.

  5. Few years ago I fired a worker for repeatedly missing work due to drinking problem. He posted FB with his hand holding a .38 pistol (without the face) saying something like some foreigners have to be taught a lesson. I went to the police and was told not to worry... He said," Loud barking dogs don't bite".

Foreigners... don't forget that your life worth ain't no s__t here.

  6. I stopped for a pedestrian at Yaowarat and with a quick nod he fasten his crossing pace. He got hit by a motorbike coming from my left. It was not serious but with some bruises. I had a strong guilty feeling like I caused the accident to happen.

Surprisingly the rider was annoyed and the pedestrian apologetic. (Jaw dropped)

  7. I tot there's a paid carpark just right before the immigration? It's like 100 baht for a day. I parked there twice.

Once pass Thai Immigration will have motorbike to send you the other side... don't take it, just walk across like 200m. Need to inform Cam side that you are not staying the night and pay 300 baht. If you don't do that, coming out time on the same day they will ask for more.

At the Cam side you can buy 1 carton of cigarettes and a bottle of whiskey each person. Don't buy more than that because Thai side will meet road block and they will check the car.

  8. I'm no car expert but do maintain a small fleet of mobile machinery. By the look of that car, it will not come back to it's original condition. The way the door closes and the tires/bearing wears, etc...

They should agreed as insurance would covered 60% of the value top up the balance 40% give her a new car and keep the service center/brand's reputations. 200k baht... I have nothing against Nissan but after this incident, I would advise anyone to stay away from Nissan Thailand.

  9. I was stopped last night at 1 of the toll fee booth by the police. I had dinner at Hops Pattaya and drank a glass of house brew beer. The first test showed that I had alcohol in my system and was pulled aside. The second test was to see the level of alcohol concentration I had in my system.

I was confidant I will be cleared as I only drank a glass. There are about 8-10 dudes sitting at the side curd obviously arrested. Police acted polite and I was asked again before blowing onto the second device (something like last warning). I said keaw dio jing jing. I puffed and read 32, instant relieved from the officers. One of them excitedly shouted to the old officer with many stars on his shoulder, 32! He walked over saying good, good! No drunk! Sign and you go... and he stand there staring at those side curb guys.

Surprisingly I didn't felt any disappointment in them when I passed the test. I actually could feel that they were genuinely happy and proud of me. I was thinking they will try to pull some baht out of me even I passed the test but they didn't. I feel the real rotten RTP are the ones high above.

  10. I spent 5 years in Rayong which is livelier than Ban Chang and still I could not take it and moved my family to BKK.

Although I have to stay in Rayong from Monday to Friday due to work, I'm glad that I relocated my family there.

Now I rent a cheap 1 bedroom apartment in Map kha. You should consider Mueang Rayong or Sattahip rather than Ban Chang.
