They need to move to the Issan model whatever that is. Up here nothing feels to have changed much. Malls at Tesco and Tops are full, markets are elbow to elbow, motorbikes and cars buzzing day and night going where I don’t know. New Businesses are opening, old ones expanding, housing and business tracks keep having groundbreakings posted on Facebook. Single houses are being built and others remodeled, new cars being bought, a/c’s getting installed, kids buying overpriced knock-off brand clothes and new phones. I have no idea What the economic foundation for these literal examples of what I’m seeing is. I guess there’s borrowing involved with some of it and I’m being a little tongue in cheek when I say copy Issans model but they appear to be doing something right. Throughout the Covid lockdown scare nobody appeared to suffer up here. There were nice gestures when some of the shops gave free food for a photo opportunity and quickly post them on Facebook, just like when the Amphoe gave out free masks and washed the train platform once then disappeared after a picture with a 4 meter vinyl banner.

Pint or two of fuel additive to the full gas tank and leave a quality low amp maintenance charger on the battery is what I do in the states.

Doesn’t look like approved parking to me. Looks like he was in emergency stopping only lane so the truck should collect from him.

I’d rather have it with me when traveling away from home for a multitude of non flight related reasons.

Odd “the land was later declared national forest“ as in retroactively and if you buy land from a local who has the right to develop it for tourism don’t you become the new local with the right to,,,,just asking.

There is no "New Normal" Something is either normal or it's not. End of.
So what happened to people riding around on a brontosaurus’s back? These car thingy’s are just a temporary abnormality? End of what? Your depth of critical thinking?

So why did the victim have to apologise?
Naming and shaming is too much for Thai people.

On Halloween night my neighbor stuffed pants and a shirt full then shoved half of the shirt down the storm drain. Have to admit the first time I fell for it.

Pay ฿100 each month on each card and tell the court your are attempting to make restitution and will continue to do so until paid in full. You’re just experiencing a difficult financial challenge.
Works in the USA , called “attempted restitution”.- 1

More than a few, many millions and what of the non black citizens of America, what are they to think now?
Not the brightest mayor, wouldn’t “all lives matter” be more inclusive?
All lives mattering is blasphemy and you will now be summarily cancelled by a new culture that you clearly don’t understand. When the mob finishes devouring everyone with a dissenting opinion they will move on to eating their own who fail the social justice, virtue signaling purity test (which has already begun). Get popcorn and a gun if you don’t already have one.

Buy it with a 20 or 30 year bank loan with extremely low interest and pay that off in 12 months provided there’s no prepayment penalty which there shouldn’t be. Don’t tell the bank your prepayment plan just get the loan and overpay each month or just pay the amount due each month and save the additional money until you’re ready then walk in and pay it off. The interest paid might be less than a lawyers fees and you’ve got protection of a clean purchase. Tell her don’t be kee neow?

These type of events expose the government and police can’t and sometimes actually choose not to protect uninvolved citizens and their property.
Decades of on and off uncontrolled riots also explains why so many fight for and exercise their rights to “cling to their guns and religion”.

A home safe sounds like a good place to store valuables normally hidden in the underwear drawer from being pilfered by friends, family, workers or your spouse.

My axe is that the millions donated to individual temples, much of it from people who will have to miss a meal for a day, is as in my local town, spent on building a bigger and higher and more glittering second steeple rather than building a small free clinic for those in need within the largely empty grounds. The current buildings are totally sufficient for those who wish to pray etc.
The village gains more status/face by the size and quality of their temple. The poor are more than happy to donate even if it’s 10 or 20 baht because it’s a competition with the surrounding villages that carries on over decades.
It seems the monks are there to bless people and stuff for good luck. To handle death and insure the next life is bountiful. They are the conduit to the departed which explains giving food, toiletries etc to them. The departed share in the gifts of sustenance that the monks consume. It seems the community doesn’t look to them to do the governments job but as a last line of assistance.
I had a devout catholic grandmother and I’ve concluded that the beliefs and rituals between Catholics and Buddhists are not too dissimilar. They both require a great leap of faith and unquestioned following.
I’m happy for my wife’s reverence towards her beliefs as they’re not too cumbersome.- 1

Not only confiscate their bikes but have the parents and the kids stand and watch as they are crushed and made to scrap metal.
This is the problem with a country that allows 12-13 year olds to drive ride motorcycles.
Anyone under the age of 16 should have the bike taken away and the parents charged.
It is soo easy to do just have plan clothes cops at the high schools every morning lol
“Cops at the high schools” sounds like more teenage pregnancies.
