  1. Thanks joe and everybody else for the input and help
  2. Cheers joe, so the 60 day options is not possible unless i get the 30 days first ( lame rules).
  3. Sorry i forgot to mention, im from the uk, im now thinking to just apply for a covid extension over the 30 days as this gives me the time i require here and less hassle to go and get another extension.
  4. Joe, ive only been to thailand once this year, you have confused me, i haven't done any extensions this year. I would rather get a 60day extension to visit my wife over 30, is that not possible?
  5. Joe, so i can get a 60 day extension on my current VOA 45 days right? What docs etc do i need?
  6. Dr jack54, yes a visit to see my wife and kids and stay maybe another 40-50 days but my 45 days that i initially got are coming to an end soon hence why i need the extension.
  7. Thanks tonray, ive done extensions in the past but with all the rule changes that happen so often, its best to get confirmation from reliable members like joe as you mentioned, im assuming the fee is also still roughly 2000bhat for the 60day extension?
  8. Hi all / swaadee kap, I entered thailand via a 45 day visa on arrival and would like to get an extension. Im legally married to my wife and have 2 children here in thailand. What options do i have in terms of getting an extension and what documents and paperwork would i need? I plan on getting my extension at aranyaprathet immigration and my wife called in to ask if they were issuing extensions and they said they were which is a relief as i don't want to travel to BKK to get an extension. Any help appreciated.
  9. Hi all swaadee kap, Can anybody point me in the right direction as to what the rules are on taking back fishing rods/gear. I live in the UK and want to take back some equipment but everything is to large for my suitcase (rods). Am i allowed to check in fishing equipment separately and if so can anybody tell me what i can store my rods in so they dont get damaged? Will i have issues with customs in the uk if i want to bring back my gear to use in the uk? I will more than likely fly with KLM and i cant seem to find any info about checking in oversized stuff? Any help appreciated.
  10. Greetings all, swaddee kap, Are ASQ travellers allowed to take duty free purchased liquor to their hotel rooms for quarantine? What if i was to bring UK purchased booze in my luggage? Surely this won't be a issue, but i would like to make sure. Cheers guys.
  11. Do the currency booths at heathrow give thai bhat? Can anybody else confirm the booths are still open please.
  12. Greetings all, swaadee kap, Can anybody point me in the right direction with regards to if the currency exchange booths are still open at swampy? If not whats the best way to obtain thai bhat if travelling from LHR to BKK? My ASQ hotel doesnt have a exchange service and i doubt they will allow me to make an ATM withdrawal. Thanks for any help in advance.
  13. thank god I've received my decision quickly. thanks for all the help and input everybody.
