  1. I was at the Savannakhet consulate. Multiple Entry Non-O Marriage requires bt400,000 seasoned for 2 months in a Thai bank account. At least those were the financial requirements on that day with that official 😉
  2. I'll likely be flying into Ubon Ratchathani. No car. Is there some sort of minubus service directly from the airport to Mukdahan? Or do you have to go to the bus station first?
  3. I think the bridge over to Lao from Mukdahan is open from 6am to 10pm. What does the bus schedule look like? Thank you
  4. Hi Sheryl, I can't find a Dr. Sanna. Did you mean Jaruwarn?
  5. I chose General Monthly Living Expenses the first time i was asked for purpose of transfer. Wise seems to be updating customer info. I assume everything goes back to normal once you answer the additional questions and complete a transaction.
  6. Solved I went ahead and completed the transaction. First step was to choose reason for transfer ..... as depicted in my screenshot above. After that I was prompted with a few more additional questions regarding annual income, source, approx total amount of yearly transfers etc. Then I was asked once again to choose the reason for the transfer .... which returned to the usual list of options including Funds for Long Term Stay. Thanks everyone
  7. Doesn't seem like a glitch as other people seem to get the usual drop down list while i get fewer & different options.
  8. I'm transferring from Canada. They apparently changed some things. There are fewer options to choose from and some have changed.
  9. Yes, usually there are more options and you have to scroll down ..... not today for some reason.
  10. Still not there for me. Might depend on which country you're transferring from .... no idea.
  11. Hi, Recently tried to send money through Wise and the option "Funds for Long Term Stay" is no longer available. What's the best way to increase chances of the transfer being recorded as coming from overseas? Thank you
  12. Hi, Injured my lateral collateral ligament and may need an MRI to see how bad it is. Seems to be pretty much only the LCL that was damaged. What's the range in prices? Would an Ultrasound be a viable alternative? The GP i saw wasn't sure. Thank you
  13. Okay thanks. So in that case, if you've got 800k in the bank, then there's no reason not to apply for multi entry retirement .... same requirements as single entry.
  14. One SETV from home country. Are the requirements the same for single entry non o retirement & SETV ? Thank you
  15. If yes, is it apply in the morning and collect the next business day afternoon? Thanks
  16. I'm down south, nowhere near BKK, Chiang Mai, Hat Yai, Pattaya, Hua Hin etc
  17. Wish we could do that, but they're all taken up ... or if there is one vacant it's likely quietly set aside for hi-so customers to come along. But yes, will keep looking around.
  18. It's with TTB. I'm thinking even in undesirable areas there aren't a lot of safety boxes to go around. My TTB account was solely opened for the box and never used. Can't blame them too much for wanting to push us out, but still want a box ..... for far less than 9K a year :)
  19. Recently told the yearly fee for our small box would jump from bt1,700 to bt9,000. One explanation from the employee was the bank was trying to phase out safety boxes and this was part of the transition. I'm guessing that's not the truth and they're just trying to push us out to attract higher end customers by having more boxes available. Anyone else experiencing something similar? Thanks
  20. Hi, I assume they're still giving them out with proof of bt800,000. Questions: 1. Do they accept bank statement from home country as well as from Thai bank? 2. Only latest statement or several months? 3. Are term deposits etc. acceptable or only savings / chequing accounts? 4. Price? Thank you
  21. Whoa, 1 month. How is that even possible? I assume they're deliberately slowing down the process for whatever reason. Many thanks for the info
  22. What's the average number of business days it takes the Embassy in Ottawa to process a SETV? In the past they've been really slow and I doubt that's changed. Thanks
