Wow. Thanks for taking the time to answer my query. Although I do not have the same model, the difference is obvious in that mine has an ID plate complete with serial No. And, of course as already mentioned I'm completely satisfied with the performance.

I'll sure be cautious when it comes to buying a new one.

    Have a nice day.

No problem. IMO the forum is there to help others (and to rant sometimes 555).

Another tip about Logitech (or most mouses for that matter):

If 1 or both buttons (micro-switches actually) go bad, you can quite easy replace the switches by yourself (if you know how to use a soldering iron).

I recently did this for an older Logitech mouse:

You can order these Omron D2FC-F-7N (10 M) micro-switches anywhere online for about 10-15 Thai baht each (10 M stands for minimum 10 million clicks garuanteed):

    https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/32835842152.html?spm=2114.13010708.0.0.3d004c4dqx1GPa

If you take a look on this video it's quite easy (I can't understand Chinese, but the video is clear enough to understand :)):

No need to use a heatgun/blower for the sticker. You can just pry it out with a small knife or screwdriver.

The screw is under the sticker.

    Have a nice day too.

Well those fan blades came from suphan buri iirc....

Also i don't understand why harari won't sell the white new fanblades 16"  in Homepro and the lot...They only sell the clear ones but we use those fans outdoors...last month one of them spontaneously scattered into pieces, one piece flew through the mosquito screen so that's very dangerous...But unfortunately they don't sell outdoor ceiling fans at all in thailand...i mean the oscillating models.

You can just see the correct prices for Hatari fanblades (and I think also order from hatari itself, although not so easy online):

    https://www.hatari.co.th/en/parts/fan-blade-blade-cap

    The white model:

    https://www.hatari.co.th/en/parts/fan-blade-blade-cap/2401067

If you are not too far away from an Amorn shop, you can buy them there for similar prices as on the Hatari website.

Lotus sells them also, but maybe slightly more expensive.

If you search in Thai language you find a lot of online shops that sells them. Even the white versions:

I'm curious to know how you knew that it was a Chinese knockoff, when one considers that half of Logitech products are made in China anyway.

By my right hand, right now is a Logitech M185 wireless mouse that I purchased from Lazada 18 months ago. (yes I have checked) It came from a local supplier with a 3 year warranty and it's been the best mouse I've had for a long time.

I did however purchase, what were advertised as 'genuine Oral B electric toothbrush heads' which were fake. Although I kept and used them, they were not as good as the genuine item. I'm very careful about those now and would return them if it happened again. The next order I placed was from a different supplier and they were genuine.

You can see the build quality is very poor of the counterfeit mouse.

The serial number (in case a counterfeit) cannot be found when you try to register on the Logitech site.

The genuine Logitech mouse will (almost always) have the model number and other characters (such as on/off near the switch) embossed on the bottom side.

The LED of the fake does not work.

After the mouse goes into sleep mode, the real Logitech version 'comes to life' after just moving the mouse, but the fake mouse only 'comes to life' after you click the left or right button (which is f...ing annoying!).

Last, but not least, the battery does not last 12 or 18 months, but if you are lucky maybe 2 months.

Oh, 1 more thing: on a genuine Logitech mouse, the optical sensor will be perfectly in the center, while on a fake it's off center.

I added 3 pics: the only genuine Logitech is the left one on the photo with the 2 mice

BTW, the seller/shop of which I bought the counterfeit mouse is gone from Lazada. There are a bunch of other sellers, still selling this fake model, but they are now selling for a 'too good to be true price'. They still advertise it as being a real Logitech and use mostly the photo's of the genuine one.

About "when one considers that half of Logitech products are made in China anyway":

many hightech and well known brandnames also manufacture in China, which does not mean that other companies or people are allowed to just copy them and sell counterfeits.

I found that using the "Local" filter will remove all the misleading adds from China. As a bonus the delivery is faster.

Read my other posts in this thread. I ordered from a local seller and the price was not too good to be true either. Could easily be a genuine sales. The seller blatantly uses the photos of the original. Shipping was very fast too, ordered on Sunday and received Tuesday. Luckily I got a full refund and I got to keep the product, but they didn't post my bad review.

  5. I use PayPal for my Thai Netflix subscription. Sometimes I use PayPal on Agoda (for traveling within Thailand) without any issues. I can't use my PayPal account to pay for my PS4 subscription though. Not sure why, since no reason given when I try this it just doesn't work, although the option to use PayPal on the PS4 is there. On Aliexpress you can use PayPal (with some sellers only), but they will charge you a fee.

Is false advertising not illegal, should be.

The webshop just list the product as out of stock. How can that be false advertising? Of course this is not illegal, since otherwise you can sue almost every big brands webshops as well.

Did you ever arrive at a big shop in Thailand who specifically advertises a sale for a product and you find the shelves empty for that product? (which happens often in Thailand) Will you sue them for false advertising?

I don't say it's not annoying, since it is, but it's not false advertising.

Don't even know what SEO is!

SEO=search engine optimization, to make the webshop easily to be found and rank high on Google and other search sites.

If the owner of the webshop gets a lot of traffic to his shop from people searching a particular product and this product is now not in stock, it's much better to keep the product listed, but make it unavailable to buy. Most customers will still browse other products on the site and end up ordering something.

  8. I had 1 refund from Lazada without any issues. Paid by credit card and refunded by credit card within 2 days. I could even keep the product which I wanted to return ( because it was a counterfeit product).

A Thai colleague had a similar issue as described by the OP. It was at another webshop which also have normal stores (Homepro). They didn't have a wallet option and they told him that he needed to go to the store to identify himself to get the refund.

In my experience in 15 years in Thailand is that it has improved a lot, since in the past getting a refund in any shop was nearly impossible.

Lazada are idiots. They are making things difficult when trying to sell online. Shoppee is easier. This is why Thai prefer shoppee.

Can you please tell more about this? What is more difficult on Lazada?

I created an account for my wife (since she would to sell, but is not so good with computers etc.) and this was pretty straightforward and easy.

Problem with Shoppee is that's all in Thai language only. I can speak Thai, but not read/write unfortunately.

I think Lazada is trying to simplify things now due to the competition they experience.

Previously you couldn't even sell on Lazada if you didn't had a registered business.

If you do it, don't ship anything to or from Thailand. Thus, you are playing on your laptop and it's nobody's business. Don't brag about it. Don't list Thai addresses. If you drop-ship, avoid Thailand in all ways possible unless and until you have a WP. Have a good lawyer.

Currently you don't need a registered business anymore to sell on Lazada in Thailand, so this is starting to be interesting (with E-commerce just starting to gain popularity in Thailand!).

If you have a WP, but for a different job, could you sell on Lazada? Since recently they changed the law and people only need 1 WP and more jobs are allowed, but the additional job should be added/listed in the WP. Would it be possible to add selling on Lazada on an existing WP for another job? I have no problems to provide the details to the Revenue department as extra income, but I just would like to be sure that no problems will arise from this. Or would this be a protected profession for Thais only?

Furthermore, my wife is interested in selling on Lazada as well. If she creates an account on Lazada as an individual and start selling, would there be any problems for me (working on a WP, but not selling on Lazada)? I assume this should not be a problem, but better to find out all the details here.

Thanks in advance for all input.

At my amphur it was only possible to get one, with translations, confirmations, copies, documents...

With 2500, only my passport and the Blue Book of my wife was necessary.

    I choose the easy way.

Ok, got it. I was lucky enough that they accepted my name in Thai from my work permit, so I didn't need to spend anything.

There is one product I will never, ever, buy in Asia from any source local or mail order. Chargers for phones and other USB devices

    Total nonsense!

ALL chargers and USB devices are made in Asia (most of it in China). Please note that an iPhone or Samsung charger of course are all made in China or Korea.

As an electronics engineer I can tell you that the cost to make a charger can indeed be very low. Apple is ripping off people with their asking prices for chargers. A charger contains nothing more than a small transformer (0.1$), a charger IC (0.05$) and a voltage regultor IC (0.05$) and a capacitor (0.02$).

The REAL problem is with people not using the correct rated chargers for their stuff! You NEED to check the max amperage and or rated power.

Their are billions of cheap Chinese chargers in use. Do we read daily about blow ups and fires? If course not, because almost all of those chargers are ok.

If you had any problem with a charger it's most likely your own fault of not checking the spec.

anything shipped from overseas means China and everybody knows how fake the items are.

You mean like iPhones, since they are made in China as well LOL.

Items from China are not bad, but they do copy a lot indeed. However, you see more and more innovative Chinese companies with good genuine Chinese products.

Sorry to hear that they copy your product.

To state that most items on Lazada are fake,  is simply not true. Most is legit with some fakes being offered.

I say it is not ok that sellers  ship fakes and I have to go through the rigmarole of returning and and claiming the refund. If this is common practice for  some sellers Lazada should drop them. Which I think they do if  complaints are strong and often enough.

I fully agree with you. Sorry that I misread your previous post. All buyers should take action and feedback in case a fake or bad service or bad products etc.

I  agree. If the item is  wrong and you get a refund  then is  ok?  N0T !

We are  not to know  who  bears the cost of refunds.

I am convinced  that as a sales platform Lazada is  basically  legitimate.

But wen it comes  to disputes  they  employ a system of non  complicency and  attempt at  times  conciliation  negotiation via seller and  customer in protection of  commission already  derived.Have  noticed  that  undeniable  and legitimate  complaints  via Lazada actually do  result  in the removal  of  the questionable  supplier.

Which suggests it is  worth  the effort  to  object  to  bs

Seller ships a fake, I get a refund after I complain and you think this is not ok?

I wrote to Lazada to point them to this fake stuff. They didn't take action. Whoever is taking the costs for this, I do not care, as long as it's not me.

I have bought two Logitech mice in Big C and they are still good working, I am almost sure they are genuine ( even 100% sure )

You should indeed expect that Big C sells genuine mice.

I bought this mouse from this seller on Lazada: Lazada Logitech mouse

Seems Lazada does not take any action to fake products and sellers who sell fake products.

There is also a Thai review now that says it's fake. But Lazada did not publish my review!

Furtermore, if you search this model on Lazada you can find several sellers who sell these fake mice.

Mostly those are not computer shops, but shops that sell all kinds of cheap items. Maybe that's something to consider ????

The pictures used by the seller are of course just ripped from the genuine product!

First picture you see a green LED. This does not work on the fake.

I have some other genuine Logitech mice, btw, and it's easy to see if you receive the mouse that it's a fake.

The fake is very plasticky and flimsy. It also is not accurate, scrolling wheel is not so good and you need to click a button after it goes into sleep mode.

A genuine Logitech (at least this model) will wake up with some mouse movement.

Pretty much the way although they are sometimes listed as nike.

I have bought air max copies for 1900bht and they are pretty good copies and quite comfy for the cost . Real version would be 3-4 times price. Also bought adidas NMD R1 trainers for 1900bht and high quality insoles to put in them . Again comfy and good copies considering the real version are around 17,000bht in bkk.

Clothes and aftershaves I only buy in reputable places or in duty free as im sure most on lazada are copies.

I guess with a name like ronaldo0, you need trainers that are 17k baht ????

  18. 40 minutes ago, Baerboxer said:

The price will tell you. If it's a lot lot cheaper than you know it should be, then think why it's so cheap.

Yeah, but that's not always the case, like above post with the Eneloop batteries and also my 'Logitech' fake mouse. It was priced about 350 baht, while the normal price in the past was about 450-500, so this could easily be a genuine sale. Of course, when there is a very big difference you should be wary.

I always check veracity of 'shipped from overseas'.

If it's shipped overseas, it does not mean that it's not good. Many overseas sellers are good.

I got a fake Logitech mouse from a LOCAL seller.
