  1. Thanks to you both for the info. I normally use the mail system but somehow got my dates mixed up and left it too late. As I am off to do my visa extension tomorrow I figured I would kill two birds with one stone. Cheers!
  2. Haven't been keeping abreast of things recently so just making a quick query. I need to do a personal trip for my 90 day reporting and would just like to check whether it is still at the same "Carpark" location or if it has reverted back to Chang Wattana now the Covid crisis has calmed down. Thanks.
  3. Just want to say a big thanks to all who responded to my query and gave me all the answers I needed. Cheers.
  4. I read here a while ago that one member who does the 90 day report by mail uses EMS both ways I.E. both to immigration and the envelope back to himself. As the postal system has become very erratic I thought I would give it a go (never had any success with on-line) but cannot get either of my local post offices to do it. One way is fine - to immigration - but not for the return envelope, so I am wondering why this might be. I have a theory (and it is only a theory) that it may be that EMS tracking can only be done from the post office where the service originated from so my question is, do any members have any similar experience or indeed actually know how the system works and can throw some light on this for me. If it can't be done then that is that but it would be nice to know for sure as I get a bit twitchy over the 6 to 8 weeks it takes for the envelope to travel a distance that takes an hour in a car. Cheers and have a happy Sunday if you can.
  5. You shouldn't have bought up all the stock then. I have the same problem with a certain brand of Scotch.
  6. Wondering which part of the country you are in as we are experiencing the same for my usual milk brand (definitely creamier). Cannot comment on the other items as they are not on my usual shopping list. By the way, I'm in Romkloa area, Bangkok.
  7. Definitely seeing shortages of food items (mostly imported) at the 3 main supermarkets I use which are Big C, Villa Market, and Tops. We have a rice shop in the Bangkok area and even some of our orders are not being fulfilled as the distributors are rationing how many sacks of certain brands customers can have. They say that it is due to trucks carrying stock into Bangkok from certain areas are being prevented from entering and get turned back. The local market is also reporting similar news on some of their items such as fresh pork which is apparent in the small (but significant) price rises in some products.
  8. I am getting fed up with Thai postal service not returning the form from immigration after I have sent mine by post. It is becoming a drag to have to traipse all the way back out to the far flung 90 day reporting centre time and time again for a process I have already completed so I have a question about the online 90 day reporting. Do you need the last form sent to you that gives you the date of the next time you need to do the repeat performance? My last one has yet to appear and I can work out the dates easily enough on when the next is due and would like to try the online option but do not know the information requirements. I did try a couple of times one or two years ago but never successfully got past the first page so have no idea what to expect - should it actually work for me.
  9. I kept to the left only because I had been informed of it on the forum here. However, I did see staff directing people to the correct queue as and when they arrived. Having arrived by car driven by my daughter we initially went to the front entrance and as I exited the vehicle a "Valet" approached me and asked if I was there for a vaccine. When I confirmed that he very politely advised me to go to the entrance further down, opened the car door for me, and when I was back in closed the door gently so no complaints from me there. Maybe I arrived when there was a different shift on from when you had your experience. I don't know. And as I am pretty much a pacifist I really don't want to start a war of words about this and can only say that we obviously had different experiences so lets shake hands, raise a glass, and have a nice day. Cheers!
  10. A big thanks to MTLS5000 for this bit of info. I was there this morning and went from being last in a queue of a couple of hundred or so to being last in a queue of 4 (including me). Passport checked to confirm and the door magically opened and the rest is simply follow the staff's clear instruction. In and out in 45 minutes including the observation time sitting around.
  11. I was there this morning and found the experience very simple and easy with helpful staff leading the way through every step so I am not sure how the initial customer touch points could be made better unless they made me a coffee as well. Even before entering the hospital there were personnel out in the street pointing you in the right direction so you got the correct entrance. While waiting in the "observation area" I noted that, in the time I was there, about 80% of the people were Japanese men and women with a smattering of other nationalities such as Indian and Italian. How do I know? Because I was listening to the names being called out and recognised the language variations. It is quite possible that some do not speak English and would not know their number if it was called, however people do tend to remember their own names. I was also quite impressed with the Thai ladies doing the calling as they were very proficient at getting their tongues around foreign names quickly after a quick read from a form.
  12. Strange. Yesterday it said "This form is currently unavailable". After reading your success I checked again just now 18.00 - 13th August and it is still the same blank page with the same message. Cannot explain so I guess it is up to the individual to try for themselves.
  13. Thanks Chomper. Depending on my daughter to drive me so will have to see what happens on that score. Also meant to ask, are they doing vaccinations at the weekend as Saturday is a good option for me. Cheers.
  14. Nice to hear so many good things about the hospital procedure. I am due mine on Monday and the appointment is for 11.00 a.m. but judging from previous comments would it be fair to say that the appointment system is no longer valid and one can basically turn up as and when? Also, from others previous experience, if the appointment system is still holding can someone advise me of a sensible time to arrive for the said time of 11.00. Many thanks to all for this useful post.
  15. I registered for a vaccine a few weeks ago at Medpark hospital and am due my appointment on the morning of Monday the 16th. I notice that the registration page is now closed and assume it is because the vaccine allocation is used up so I am just wondering if any members have been there recently and if it was a successful trip or not. I only ask because of the high number of people throughout the country who had appointments only to find there was not enough vaccine to go around and I don't want to waste my time. I will be trying to contact the hospital to confirm but from previous comments sometimes that is not successful so any info greatly appreciated.
