What happens if we are positive and are sent to hospital asymptomatically?
Can we exercise on our own in our hospital room and work from our computer? I do not want to lie in a bed all day having no symptoms because I am "sick".

Good to see I am not the only one.
In the worst case I would (hotels in Bangkok are still open for normal stays)? have to stay in BKK until travel is possible again.
So far there seems to be no process, I would be fine for any kind of staff to accompany me from the ASQ to the gate heading for CNX for a fee, so they make sure I do not come from "infected Bangkok".

I like that and handle it the same way.
Most of my money is in my home country, not even accessible in Thailand because its real estate. I never tell any Thai about it, girlfriend / friends do not know and do not need to know.
Because I ride a motorbike and live in a small condo they think I am just getting by. It is great, nobody ever asks for money.
You know how Thai people are, when they have money, they need to show it.
Always make people think you have nothing rather than simple transport, accommodation and food. Never had any issues in SEA.

Does anyone know whether we have the opportunity to travel after ASQ immediately from the ASQ to Chiang Mai without doing quarantine there again?
I am due to arrive in March and complete my ASQ mid/end March. Assuming the rules as they are now, I expect, even if take a taxi right from the ASQ to the airport, coming from the Bangkok high-risk area, I have to quarantine in Chiang Mai again.
Surely I am not the only one in that situation. I am sure there are other people doing ASQ now with these new rules who need to get back somewhere to other provinces.

I once changed my passport number with my driving license (many hours waiting time because it was busy), and SCB.
Would not do it again. Waste of time. Have never heard of a Thai bothering to do it. They just wait until the license expires or maybe in case of green book if you want to sell your vehicle.

Anyone who tests positive for Covid-19 while not presenting symptoms should demand a second test.
There is a possibility of a false positive; 0.8 to 4% - according to the Lancet) and possibly higher according to ‘other’ sources.
The ‘insurance’ issue is good to know about. Anyone going into quarantine needs to receive in writing confirmation that any hospitalisation based on test results will be covered by there insurance - thats the whole objective of having the insurance which covers Covid-19.
Not sure whether you can "demand" a second test.
They will make their decision. Not you.

I appreciate that at least it is possible to enter Thailand now. Also it is nice that it seems to be possible the get the COE without much hassle (like one day before leaving at the embassy in person) and that we can book our own flight.
But 90 days is just not enough for the remaining hassle, so I will wait.
Is is possible to convert that tourist visa into another visa without leaving the country?

From the Elite website, which I also used to apply, I still see them offering 6 months extra until the end of the year - so the offer was extended instead of running out end of September.
Whatever the reason is, they write I would only get 3 months on top, it is a joke to increase the price by 20% next year urging people to quickly order something they cannot even use now.
I really feel sorry for the people who already paid.

Could it be a discrepancy where one person talked to TPC directly and some who got a different story were talking to an agent who is not yet up to date. Or the other way around ?!
The official TPC website is thailandelite.com .com without any hyphen. They also sell directly.
There are a myriad of other similar looking websites that are sales agents. The discrepancies about upcoming pricing changes may well be innocent. Just a matter of them all getting the memo.
E-mail (approval Immigration) by Sales Team thailandelite.com sent me that. So I am not sure whether the agents get e-mail addresses with that domain or not. I applied via the official website. Like I said, please call them and ask about the price for next year. Then we know whether it is official or they tell different stories to different people.
I am not interested in paying 500k so I cannot enter the country.
The money is dormant on my Thai bank account, because I prepared it two months ago, foolishly assuming I could go back home.
I am grateful the approval took them so long - otherwise I might have bought it in a rush like others.

Cost is 500k (same as before, VAT included)Plus 6 months free
Plus choose to activate it when you want (as you can buy now and activate it later)
Not sure why there would be a difference in the information you were sent, but your post here prompted me to take a look for myself even though my Elite isn't up for renewal for a couple more years yet.
I just quoted what they wrote me.
You are free to call them and ask about the January 2021 fees and whether they increase or not. Maybe you get a different price ????
It is just a marketing move to get you to buy it this year. More sales.

My Elite visa got approved but I will not pay it, reason is this part of the e-mail:
*Please kindly be informed that Thailand Elite visa holders are not firmly guaranteed to enter Thailand at this moment, entry into the Kingdom of non-Thai nationals permission will be under the consideration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
What a joke.
And here another quote:
Remark: Effective from January 1st, 2021 onwards the membership fee of the Elite Easy Access program will be increased from 500,000THB to 600,000THB
That is a really good deal. 20% more for no clarity whether or not we can enter the country.

Thanks for the update.
That explains why my Elite visa has been in the process of "Immigration check" for two months now. My country is just so unsafe ????????????

If you got caught in Thailand, Elite card seems to be ok, you even got 6 months extra.
For those outside of Thailand: I am shocked and grateful it took them so long. I applied on August 4th, "Immigration background check" is still running and I have not heard back from them. I am not from a dodgy country that it should take so long. Their offer of 6 months extra seems to have expired now.
I am grateful it took so long. I will not pay if I even ever hear back from them. What a scam to say it in one word. People like me wanted to buy this card to come back but it seems an impossible task to get back into the country. Two months have passed since I applied and I have not heard or read of any new member who successfully returned.

I contacted the long-stay company 5 days ago with general questions - did not get a reply.
Tried to contact the embassy in my home country on Oct 1st. Phone was disabled and e-mails have not been answered yet.
I guess they are overworked because of all the stuff they are usually not doing (COE, repatriation etc.). I also promised myself to wait and see if others actually manage to get this visa - so far it seems to be all very mysterious.
-
I would be grateful to hear some experience of guys who arrived in BKK.
I know these requirements state that fit to fly cert + PCR test should be issued max. 72 hours before departure.
But I am not sure whether Immigration has a different interpretation in terms of "arrival" time compared to departure.

I have this insurance for everything big. It also covers day patient stuff, cancer etc.
It would be nice if we could prove funds on a Thai bank account for the 40k outpatient limit but I think we know thats not going to happen.
Seems I have to either forge my documents or wait until they wave it.

I have international health insurance, impatient only, up to 1.275.000 EUR.
On purpose I did not include outpatient which would be much more expensive.
I guess I do not qualify and I am too poor for the visa.

Do not understand that light/dark blue WHO graphic.
Many countries in Europe are something in between, neither dark blue nor light blue. Lets wait and see until the list of countries is revealed.

I do not need them as I already have insurance.
Thats why I am asking whether they accept my international health insurance plan or "cannot - need this etc.".
