This is about Thailand and not a story about "around the world".
Just stating a comparison that people seem to think that the Thai government has made different decisions relative to the COVID-19.

Even in Chonburi, the amount of foreigners was a handful, yet here it is made out as if we alone were totally responsible. I remember that when many were calling for the borders to be closed, it was the government that kept them open long enough for the virus to get in.
It is also the same government continuing to make things so difficult for businesses to operate, that so many of these people are still out of work, with no help coming from those in power.
I see no difference in your statement than what many other governments around the world have done and are still doing.

If the cost of bottled water is an impediment, surely a filter would be out of the question.
I think if he boils tap water for at least one minute he'll be OK. The taste might not be to his liking.
I boil tap water for my coffee in the morning and use the tap water also for my instant noodles done in the microwave, mind you the water passes through an active charcoal filter to the tank before it comes into the house.

KK Imm insisted on having the 2 witnesses at the Imm office when I applied for my extension.
There was no home visit. Just the required photos.
Khon Kaen Immigration came to my house where we had our neighbours as witnesses, we live 73km from KK city.

Could it be due to the continued extension of the State of Emergency that makes the UK wary? I mean, it’s almost like Thailand saying itself that things aren’t right.
More like Thailand still being cautious of inbound travelers adding to new outbreaks, UK only applying a tit for tat response to them being in Thailand’s red light list.

This is exactly what i did 3 hr. trip to my DLT, i knew nothing about an app., my wife rang before "yes come" gave all my docs ( i have yellow book) "All OK they are genuine now come back next week put your name in the book date and time was given and a Que number. Immigration will give a Res Cert for renewing a DL. I chose a different office this time, reason yellow book not excepted must have Res Cert as they still go on a 20yr old document You can trust Thailand init .
Also i did not need a med cert. 2nd time 5yr DL.
I never needed the Res Cert when I showed them my yellow book to renew my DL.

For those returning to Australia, Cathay Pacific have regular flights flying to Sydney and Melbourne.

I usually cook once a week, last menu was apricot chicken with mashed potato, can’t find the ingredients I use anywhere in Thailand so I buy up bulk when I visit Australia.

Not sure about what your saying but I see them taking glas and plastic and paper and recycling it. So maybe you mean rural Thais or whatever as in BKK and greater BKK i see them recycle.
They recycle everything in rural Issan as well, the local government provides special bins for glass, plastics, paper, metal and even batteries, the money from recycling goes towards the village funeral fund.

What a joke. I would feel more safe living in Italy then Thailand. The Thai government is covering up the real extent of how many in Thailand have covid-19. Thailand is a top 3 country with covid-19 since so many Chinese go there then to Italy or Iran. There are only 3 countries I would feel worried to visit or live in and that is China, Thailand and Iran because of covid-19.
If you have facts to prove your statement let’s see them, otherwise your just adding to fake news

Really? You might like to name the "other" countries verified free of the virus way before New Zealand scientifically established it was free of Covid-19
Tanzania, Vatican, Fiji, Montenegro, Seychelles, St. Kitts and Nevis, Timor-Leste, Papua New Guniea were virus free before New Zealand.

New Zealand down at #9 in spite of being the only verifiable Covid free country on the world.
Other countries were verified free of the virus way before New Zealand made it’s claim.

I can't wait to get back to cleaner air, cleaner beaches, police presence, albeit it a nanny state for a reason, no immigration brain damage every time I go to another province, 90 day online reporting and annual extensions with mountains of paperwork, no corruption, free public hospital cover, government support for kids, and pretty much the same when it comes to the cost of living here (excluding renting or owning your own property).
Edited yesterday at 12:56 PM by 4MyEgo
You will find areas of Australia just as polluted as areas in Thailand just depends where you decide to travel to, being an Australian citizen of course you wouldn’t have any immigration paperwork, public hospital cover is not free, and your dreaming if you think there is no corruption, but seeing as your experience here has been so negative it would be a wise choice to put tail between legs and head back home, take care and safe journey.

Considering Rwanda is 61 days behind Thailand in their testing when most other countries are winding down and lifting restrictions it is a mute point to compare a country still battling the virus in large numbers to one moving towards recovery.

Thailand is one of the countries that has tested the least, with Nigeria and Lesotho.
For rather unsurprising reasons Nigeria and Lesotho also have amazing Covid19 figures.
Not really a mystery.
Different sites different information, but Thailand has still faired better than other countries infection wise.

Yes, not testing at all certainly results in low numbers. Great job.
Rubbish testing has been done in numerous cities in Thailand.

So either the police is incompetent or he cleaned up his act. (I dont consider drug use making someone a hardened criminal).
Don’t know where your getting your information from but you should do a bit more research on the subject.

George Floyd was a hardened criminal with multiple offenses, it’s a shame they had to pick him as the face for “Black Lives Matter”.

Health and safety in Thailand.
1. On the roads with little law enforcement (mainly directed at foreigners) and cracked uneven pavements and where taxi and Tuk tuk drivers cheat you.
2. In the mainly unlicensed and uninspected hotels with minimal fire escapes and equipment and where building codes are ignored.
3. In the bars and entertainment areas where owners and police are hand in glove and if you dispute a bill you will be dealt with by violence or arrest.
4. In the beach areas where you will be robbed by ladyboys prowling for gold or jet ski scammers forcing you to pay for old damage.
5. in the National Parks and other attractions where you will be charged ten times local rate.
Many things to be fixed before Thailand can be touted as healthy and safe.
Wow someone has sour grapes, you find anything you liked about the place?

Not only is China criticized for the virus, the are criticized for their silencing of doctors and journalists, feeding the WHO trash, and attempting a disinformation campaign on western social media that they themselves ban for their own people.
On top of all that, they are responsible for most animal to human viruses to date.
And way on top of all that, they have wet markets that are built around a billion dollar industry of harvesting wild and exotic animals both legally and illegally, eating them alive/semi cooked/or cooked alive, and give zero craps about addressing this problem.
And if that wasn't enough, they have a cool habit of deep-frying domesticated dogs and cats while they are still alive.
I have NO time for China anymore, and any western nation with any kind of a spine should do everything they can to bring their production back inside their own borders and limit Chinas infiltration into their countries.
PS: Dont believe me about China and their food practices? Change browsers to duckduckgo or some other non filtered search engine and just search keywords related to that fact and watch the videos. Be prepared to be disturbed for quite a long time.
Conspiracy theories are running rampant, people only read and hear what they want unfortunately this fear brings more racism to the surface, don’t believe everything you read on the Internet.
