wrong. the uniforms are used as a symbol to keep the peasants inline and remind them they are bottom feeders who should obey and do as they are told.
What rubbish, the uniforms are worn only to signify that the individual is employed by a government department, and some departments only wear the uniform on certain days of the week.

Is it xenophobic to be against a ruling party? I have nothing against the Chinese people. Just it's leaders.
It's not a conspiracy theory that they withheld information in multiple ways. It's facts.
It's not a conspiracy theory that we are in a economic recession heading into a depression. You think people will be able to afford to travel like before you have to be pretty ignorant about economics.
Also covid is not gonna get out of media for a long time.
You made the accusation that they did their best to spread it to the rest of the world, if you don’t have factual evidence to this then your just helping to promote media fear mongering.
The world was heading for a recession before the virus all that has happened is that it has been fast tracked, many had already for seen this and taken precautions so traveling again when restrictions are lifted will be back on the agenda, for those that are economically challenged it may take a bit longer, but this has definitely been a wake up call and changes to many things will result in a different way for the world to move forward into the future.

What Xenophobic rubbish, you’ve been reading too many conspiracy theories ???? Tourism will return to normal as soon as restrictions are lifted, and this virus thing is out of the media, most of the regulars are biting at the bullet to get back here not counting the expats stranded overseas away from their families.

Can’t really say this virus thing has effected me at all, don’t live in an overly farang populated area in fact I can go for months without seeing any foreigners. The only impact that has been noticeable is the temperature taking/mask wearing and hand washing before entering food stores.

Did you read the back of the Pink ID card? That scribblings in Thai... which state you're not allowed to leave the province of issuance? And lately added that you can leave the province but only if allowed by officials or something like that... basically if police stops you to identify yourself, pink ID should be sufficient in your province. If they stop you outside province, you must show your passport. Hope this makes it clearer.
I suppose that is one way it could be interpreted, but it has not been a problem when police have requested an ID, most of the time they are just happy to see my drivers license.

I think PR is worth the effort.
Obviously one thing about pink card - it is only valid in the province where it's issued.
Not true, I have used my pink ID card all over Thailand checking into hotels and even using it for domestic flights.

I don't own a tablet and prefer using a slim laptop running Windows for all the reasons you said (better for work and productivity, easier to type, almost as light as a tablet).
A middle-ground solution that's become quite popular are hybrid tablet/laptops with detachable keyboards so they can be both.
But as you're was a gift and you just want to get the most out of it, here's my two cents:
1) if you want to watch it in bed but don't want to hold it, buy a 'bed bracket stand' - under 200 baht from Lazada.
2) If it's difficult to type on, buy a case with built-in bluetooth keyboard, - a generic one costs around 700 baht from Lazada,
Looks like you don’t know how to use a tablet to it’s full potential, I have an iPad Pro and use it for everything from airline/hotel bookings to investing in the stock markets, it does everything my laptop does including using apps like office etc and not as encumbersom as carrying a laptop around.

Keep siding with regimes that torture and murder their own people while stifling their freedoms.
You mean the same torture and freedom stifling the USA performs on other countries?

China is the last place that needs a bailout to assist the expansion of their evil empire and Iran needs to earn it by stopping being a religious nutjob theocracy and come in from the cold. Why should the US help fund these two out-of-control hate filled bad actors? Better to fund places that actually need it. China and Iran have some cheek when they do Sweet fa to bring about anything positive at all.
Evil empire? You’ve been reading too many propaganda stories ????

Where did you get that figure? Tourism is nowhere near 25%, try 6%-7% and you would be closer.

Why should they wear masks if they are at home?

My wife called out to them, what about us, reply you have farang husband, no hab for farang.
Totally opposite from our village, they were only too happy to give me a pkt of 5 masks plus bottle of hand sanitizer ????

I hate living here in Thailand and want to return to my home country but I can't leave until I sell my house here since all my savings is tied up in the house. The only redeeming thing is the low cost of living here.
Too bad you couldn’t make things work here but as many have found it’s not for everyone, was a bad idea to put all your savings into buying a house, I fear you will not be able to recoup your original investment. Myself I have purchased a number of houses for my wife’s future security when I pass, currently my silver lining is the higher returns in the bear markets I am receiving because of the current virus situation.

In Australia you don’t have a choice, as soon as you leave the arrival gate you are escorted to a waiting bus, no friends or relatives are allowed to meet you at the airport, you are then taken straight to a government designated hotel where you stay in a room for 14 days after which you are allowed to go home.

I recently returned from a trip to Pattaya to Buriram. I have been under self isolation since 19 March.
Registered on the app and temp checked twice a day.
Bit bored, but when I look at the fantastic job being done by health care workers on the TV and all I have to do is sit on my <deleted> and do nothing, it puts it all into perspective.
Left Pattaya same day as you and self isolated since, wife sent our son to his grandmother’s and she self isolated with me.
