Installed double glazing and double thick thermal block in our house in CNX, it was expensive but I think worth the cost in quietness and heat / cold retention and also keeping the temperature down, we also insulated the roof space!. Always pleasant to walk into the house even in the summer, we used Khun Oh from CHIANG MAI UPVC WINDOWS & DO0RS and were happy with her service.

Not sure you could go to a immigration office to apply for a one year extension. But you could leave and re-enter the country to get a new one year entry.

Thanks that indeed makes sense! Are there any Elite Card members out there who are getting this extra year out of the Elite Card?

Thanks for the reply, there seems to be confusion whether that final 1 year stamp that would take you possibly up to the 6 year mark is valid!

Can anyone confirm that towards the end of the 5 year Elite Visa if you obtain a one year extension you will in effect get nearly 6 years, there seems to be varying opinions on this?

We are currently dealing with Thaiconch as mentioned by mcm991 above, they are located on the middle ring road https://goo.gl/maps/shdpjXoSfVv they have REHAU a very good German brand, the lady, Khun Oe has been very good so far and speaks reasonably good English, they have many options.
It is certainly not cheap though, but it is certainly true, you get what you pay for!
