  1. Thanks for your advice on this subject, friends. This time I decided to fly to Vientiane. Next time I'll consider the various other methods you recommended. Cheers!
  2. Hi, I’d appreciate your recommendations: I entered Thailand on Dec 31, 2023, and am permitted to stay until Feb 28, 2024. After that, I want to stay in Thailand just two more months. I could get an early morning flight to Vientiane on Feb 26 or Feb 27, get a visa-on-arrival there, and then return to Thailand in mid-afternoon that same day. Alternatively, I wonder if there is a good service for crossing and reentering at a land border. Could you advise me on this, please? Thanks!
  3. Do visitors from the US and UK need Lao visas for a one-night stay in Vientiane?
  4. With both of them working, it would be worth it just to use a laundry service on the pieces of clothing that required ironing. They could "rough it" with all other articles of clothing like underwear, T-shirts, socks, plus bedding.
  5. Hi. Just got my tourist E-visa approval notification. I guess I should print it out to give to the IO at Suvarnabhumi. Or will the IO want to look at the message on my phone?
  6. Thanks for the advice I've received in this forum. I'm considering these ideas and will decide what is best for me.
  7. Hi, I'm the OP. Thanks for the advice so far. I'll answer your questions for clarification: I'm 73. I will spend almost all of my time in Bangkok while in Thailand. I have no specific plans to visit other countries though that would be okqy. I'll probably want to make other visits to Thailand in the future.
  8. I would like to stay in Thailand at least six months, and up to ten months if possible. I’m an American citizen who is now in the USA, though I’ve previously lived in Thailand for several years. Could you please advise me on what visa or documentation I should prepare and what I’ll need to do when that visa expires. Thank you.
  9. Hi. I'm planning a trip to the US this year after being away for many, many years. I'll be taking my IPhone with me, so I'd like to request your help on how to activate the phone once I get there. Please understand that I'm a complete beginner at this, so I'd appreciate if you could clearly explain the steps I should take to activate my phone when I arrive in the US. Thanks!
  10. Hi. I have a full-time job and a part-time job in Bangkok, each with a work permit and with extension of stay until September. I want to leave the part-time job in May but keep the full-time job. When I cancel the part-time job work permit, would I be required to leave the country, or could I stay until September by keeping my full-time job? Also, when I got the part-time job years ago, I had to get the full-time employer to sign some document. When I cancel the part-time job, would the full-time employer be involved? Do you know of any other possible complications with this move? Thanks for your advice.
