  1. I am also concerned about the tax issue. What is the percentage? I heard from my wife it is increasing to 10%. So how is the much tax per $1,000?
  2. Not a chance in hell! But if it were a falang driver doing a hit and run and running a red light, we would be in prison already. The Land of Smiles, not!
  3. I would bet that it is not just Thailand. How many try to make money from this FIFA corruption, lots of countries do it.
  4. Then I must say that you have no idea how much skill it takes to play American football. Yes, you may think they have to wear protection, it is a hard hitting game of brute and stamina as well as using skills and techniques to play the game. You should try and open your mind more and see both sides. I will say this is personal opinion for sure, because I have watched both sports and I don't care for Rugby, but I really dislike hockey and all the fighting on the ice, there is no sportsmanship there.
  5. I have been using this streaming website, "AVA IPTV" with "Smart STB" for my TV. I bought a yearly subscription at $7/month and able to watch movies, Formula 1, Football matches, from any country and anything your little heart desires. I think for the price it is worth it. I had them remove all countries except US, UK and Thailand, which makes it stream much faster, no lag and use 3BBB fiber as well. The customer service is excellent and responds quickly to emails.
  6. Immigration Bureau Spokeman Major Geneneral Choengron Rimphadee confirmed yesterday (November 10th) that there were about 25 international flights arriving at the Suvarnabhumi Airport with about 57,000 passengers. Of those 49,000 were foreigners. Where did they get their calculators from, "Kindergarten Children"? If you have (about) 25 flights at 57,000, that equates to 2,280 passengers per flight. OMG, those must be huge airplanes to carry all those passengers. Who makes up this <deleted>? Did they forget to count some planes? 55555
  7. How many millionaires are out there that would want to spend 40Million Baht just for a tiny piece of land in there name?
  8. You didn't know that the RTP are above the law? They can do whatever they want and don't care, just give him a brown envelope and he will be happy!
  9. Great comments here, but as most people living in Thailand know, this will make no difference in this country when they don't enforce the law. They could save more lives by enforcing the helmet law, but the police don't do their job. Our police force sit and use the phones all morning and then disappear after lunch, never to be seen again that day. What good are the laws in any country if they aren't enforced?
  10. Who did they pay brown envelopes to in order to be approved to sell and open so many stores in Thailand?
  11. Maybe before Covid-19, but don't think they have been making this for the last 2 years along with hookers.
  12. (Fill their pockets or line their pockets with money) Greedy, Greedy people in government.
  13. The government does not care about most Thai people, only the ones that can help the government official get richer. They don't help their own people, and only give false promises so the rich get richer. What a wonderful place to be. When will the government control the cost of electric, the cost of petrol and other vital things for Thailand? I think never, they are greedy and care for only themselves.
  14. So it seems that all the sources on the internet have the dates wrong for when he became the PM of Thailand. All the sources I can find, state he was PM in 2014. So his 8 year term is finished. 555555555555
  15. If the court ruled that the PM did not start his term of office until 2017, then who was the PM between 2014 and 2017? Just a general ruling the country after the coup? I guess in this case you can continue to make up the rules as you seem fit to do so while becoming richer and richer. How much money does one need until satisfied? Maybe just the power trip is addictive then. Feel sad for the country being forced like this with all the corruption, my Thai wife is very angry, but not surprised.
  16. All Thais that I know, hate him very much. My wife and her large number of friends here can't stand him and always talks about how corrupt this government and country has been and continues to go down the <deleted>ter.
  17. This country has no idea what Democracy is nor will it ever. This is very sad to hear but I for one am not surprised.
  18. They need to bribe the police first, get that envelope ready. Why don't they just go back to their home country?
  19. I also don't understand the ambulance driver that clearly had enough time to see the legal driving motorcycle, but I always see them slow going through a red light, even green sometimes. With that said you can also blame the van driver. I would say if he had not beep his horn that the ambulance would have gone through without hitting the motorcycle, only because he wasn't paying attention. I bet the van driver is thinking this as well and maybe never do that again.
  20. There is not much that can be done. This dog has done it more than once, maybe others we don't know about. The dog needs put down before it kills a child, they are known for this. The owner would be unable to guarantee the safety of others, especially children. It would be a shame if someone was killed and everyone that knows this dog has attacked and will probably do it again. Seems to be the alpha of the house.
  21. Yes, they are that lazy. There is no caring, compassion or responsibility with to many of these people. Too much caring about profit and what can you give me. There is no patience or common sense used here when it can only take 10 seconds to go look in the van after the children get out to make sure a child is not left, either because they fell asleep, or just playing and hiding. Remember these are children and you must protect them at any cost.
