Hi, my wife has just renewed her UK passport and received the new passport. What is the procedure / needed to transfer her Thai non immigrant visa from the old passport to her new one. Our local immigration office is the Petchaburi immigration office just outside Cha-am. I did this many years ago with my own passport but alas age seems to have clouded my memory! Any advice much appreciated.

Hi, it's been several years since I've done this and now my wife's passport will be due for renewal soon. Is it still a case of going to the Trendy Building in Bangkok, filling out the forms and dropping off your passport? What is the current turnaround time for receiving the new passport (I had a couple of friends who had to wait almost 12 weeks last year). Any advice much appreciated.

Now, imagine prison, even with all that luxury. Same thing. Incarceration is incarceration'.

Yep, she definitely has more money than sense. With the amount of stray dogs and cats in need of a home here, I've never really understood those that feel the need to buy an expensive breed in order to 'show off'.

I absolutely love the idea of reenactments - gives the relatives of the victims a chance to beat the <deleted> out of the murdering scum. Just a shame that on this occasion they didn't seem to be able to connect with too many substantial blows. Shame they didn't succeed in lynching the little <deleted>

This post is certainly a field day for the old barstool farts. 'What, young people living in Thailand, and working too'! No masks! Bang 'em up and throw away the key! You can hear the bitterness drip from every one of their posts....????

Thanks very much Joe. I'm assuming that as I'm using the income method, it doesn't matter what amount of funds are in the bank account on the day the letter is written and I go to immigration?

One for Ubon Joe if you are around. I will extend my non immigrant over 50 visa for 12 months at Ta Yang Petchaburi very soon. I'm doing it on income. I have a letter from the overseas income provider. I have 12 months bank statements from Bangkok Bank and in addition to this a report from their Head Office showing deposits of THB65,000 every month for the last 12 months. Do I also need anything else from the bank - any kind of letter?

Thanks for all the replies, particularly the one from the guy that had personal experience of what I was asking.
Some of the other comments were 'entertaining' and made for a fun read whilst I was waiting for the kettle to boil.

Than ks for your reply Berybert.

Hi
Just a quick question.
I use the 65,000 baht per month income method to extend my 50+ (retirement) visa annually. I have always used company dividends as income which I know is acceptable to immigration. I also have a rental income from a property in the UK that I rent out. Is my rental income also an acceptable form of income to use for the 65,000 baht per month income method?
With respect, I would appreciate replies from those that know the answer rather than speculative comments.
Thanks.

Thanks for all your advice and my deepest apologies for 'calling an extension of stay a visa'.......I've reprimanded myself severely for making such a grave mistake........oh the shame!

Hi,
I am on a non O visa for purpose of retirement. I renewed in June and so have a further 10 months until next renewal. I have just moved address. My question is, is there a time frame within which I have to report my change of address to immigration (Ta Yang, Petchaburi) and what documents should I take?
Any advice much appreciated.

Thanks very much for all the advice. That answers my question.

Hi
My current non immigrant visa (over 50 years of age) expires on 20th June. I'd like to process the next 12 month's extension as early as possible as I will leave for a 2 week holiday in UK on 21st June. what is the earliest date I can take my documents to Ta Yang (Petchaburi) to apply for the 12 month extension.
Any advice much appreciated.
switch non immigrant visa from old passport to new UK passport
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits

Many thanks for the advice. Seems like it should be straightforward.
