I am visiting here and forgot my Chlorthalidone at home.  It is also called Chlorthalid, Hygroton, and Thalitone I believe.  I went to a pharmacy today to get some and they said it wasn't very common in Thailand.  Can anyone on this forum let me know if they have purchased this and where (in Bangkok).  Thanks and Salud.

@RowdymanYes, it is available in Thailand as Chotalin 25 mg. My pharmacist informed me; however, he does not stock it. I guess you'll have to try some of the other suggestions, but at least I can confirm it's available.

I’ve always found the staff at Pathum Thani Immigration to be friendly and efficient.

They are 'now'. But I remember a time (more than a few) back in 2006-2012+/- when 'they' were not so nice. (Although I was not applying for Marriage or Retirement extensions). It was particularly one time before 2010, after visiting there that my wife turned to me and informed me she would NEVER go back there again. (They had for a number of years a particularly unfriendly person who received all the applicants paperwork, shuffled through it and gave you your 'number'. She was never pleasant)

These types of racist and nation basing comments make reading the comments on this site useless and offensive.

    Do these commenters ever consider

    “Is my comment necessary”

    “Is my comment helpful”

    “Is my comment true”

It seems doubtful they consider anything at all before spewing their hateful and hurtful vitriol

A lot of truth in your rant.

    Hey all,

Will there be any issues doing a straight in and out at Poi Pet Border with a Multi Entry Non O? I understand it can be tricky there without a visa but would I have any issues with a Valid Non O?

Normally I would do an overnighter to Phnom Penh but just want a quick and easy alternative this time

    Many thanks for any advice

I asked the same question within the last year (or so) and was advised by Ubonjoe (may he RIP) that I should go to Ban Laem-Kamrieng crossing.  It adds a few extra KMs to the journey, but I had no problems there. I found it much cheaper and safer to fly to KL on AirAsia, which is what I did the next 'hop'.

Today I went to the local branch of my bank and was told they couldn't open at the normal time as the server was down. This was a surprise that a bank would have, at any branch, a single server. This attitude of a single server at the branch is ridiculous. With it down and out of service nothing could be done. No payments into the bank and withdrawals. For me this is the first time I have heard of a bank with such a flimsy setup. It is hardly surprising that people complain about the overall service they sometimes receive when shoe string installations are the norm. This same bank incidentally has an ATM machine in the area which is out of receipts and has been for at least 2 month. Says a lot for the maintenance of the system.

Where is the crying emoji when you need one. Sad, just isn't appropriate.

1st Class Visa Runs from Queen Vic on soi 6. Costs 3700 for very comfortable 6 seater van (most other vans I saw were 9 seater for 3000).

Yep.  That's a very good deal leaving from Pattaya.

In fact our entire culture was based around a 14yo impregnated by the 'holy spirit' and married to a 70yo man.

You must have gone to a different church than I did.

The Bible strongly suggests Joseph was a fairly young man.

    - In an effort to support their belief that Mary remained a virgin after Jesus’ birth because Joseph was too old to have relations with her. However, there are indications in the Bible’s account involving Joseph that he was not an old man as some claim, consider the following:

    1. After Jesus was born Mary and Joseph had at least 6 more children.*

    2. After Jesus was born Herod tried to have him killed so an angel warned Joseph to take the child and his mother down into Egypt, a long journey on foot and later back again, a trip requiring considerable strength for a man to make.

    3. Joseph taught Jesus the skill of carpentry which was done by hand requiring considerable strength.

    4. Israelite males were required to travel to Jerusalem three time a year and the scriptures show Joseph was strong enough to make that trip when Jesus was 12 years old. The trip would have required walking for perhaps 4 days up from Nazareth to Jerusalem, 91 miles climbing around 1400 ft. in elevation.
