Long Term Residence Wealthy Pensioner if you are curious. It is a 10 year visa - requires USD$ 80,000/year of passive retirement income and mandatory health insurance. And no 90 day reporting requirement.
Thank you for explaining. I really had no clue what the post was about.

Clown response - nothing was abbreviated thats not a common term anyone in the process would know.
Not everybody is in the process.
Your response is the one of a Clown (typical wealthy pensioner thinking he is better than others and eager to insult )not mine.

I am currently on a retirement extension of stay 1 year with 800000 THB in Thai bank. I need to go to my home country and apply for a new passport because it will expire in a few months. Then I will apply for a e-visa non immigrant O 3 months single entry visa. I need financial proof in my case of 800000 baht. Can I use this amount from Thai bank or does it have to be the equivalent of this amount in Euro from a Belgian bank? I am from Belgium.
Thanks.
Be aware that when you upload your financial proof a screen shot will not be accepted.
I had to download a statement from my UK Bank for this. I recently had my 90 day single entry non O issued.
The financial proof can be in an account in your home country or in a Thai bank account.

A Thai literature course, if you're interested in that.
It would be a waste of his time, he is fluent so knows everything that would be in the course.
Maybe he could take a course in how to teach Thai to Thai people.

I should mention that I went to a billingual school here. There would be nothing for me to learn more even in the more advanced courses. Or am I worrying for nothing?
Wow a farang who is 100% fluent in Thai. If you really are fluent then well done.
I have met many farang who can order a beer in Thai and think they are fluent.

I always suspected the Swiss were not neutral, after all!
A lot of pent up anger maybe? Wanting to fight but their government always telling them they are neutral and not allowed to.

2. You most likely will need to deposit 800k with a transfer from abroad, even though you already have 800k+ in your account. Every new extension based on retirement requires this (e.g. not a repeated extension). Is enforced in HH, don't know other IOs. Unless you work with an agent and pay him/her for avoiding the money deposit. If you have ฿800000 in a Thai bank account why would you need to disregard that account and bring in another ฿800000 ?

The house is an uber expensive property with rent mooted at 1 million baht / month. He drives a brand-new, high spec Audi - a very expensive car in Thailand. And he was a security guard previously. Correct me of I am wrong, but that's a low-income job.
Not if he did a runner with the dosh.

There was a mob assembled on Sunday morning calling for his deportation.
Due process for visa cancellation or deportation must be followed, or we are all at risk.
BTW I am a permanent resident that will become a naturalised Thai citizen next year.
So ? You will always be a foreigner and will never be considered Thai.
It is a joke that foreigners think they can become Thai. Yes you can obtain a Thai passport but that does not change who you really are, a Farang!

I have found best to avoid first thing in the morning as everyone turns up hoping to be sorted quick especialy Monday and Fridays.
I turn up about 11.00 and do not have to wait long.

I always keep a pic that works for the next application, so you can populate everything and then go back and get the recent photo re-uploaded if it does not get the ok first attempt. . we've had about a 15% of might not work messages
That is what I did,I used a photo that was accepted for my tourrist visa and it uploaded successfuly without the warning message, only later to be rejected.
-
They have rejected the photo and asked me to upload a different photo.
Photograph taken within the last six months.: - Please upload other photo look straight up as If the photograph is inappropriate and does not reflect your current appearance your visa may be rejected to enter the Kingdom of Thailand
-
So in December 2023 I applied for a tourist visa and had my application approved and visa issued.
I am now in the process of applying for a Non O via the E visa website and have had the photo I uploaded rejected.
The photo has to be within the last 6 months which it is and I do not understand how it can be approved for an application 2 months ago and now rejected.
Not a big deal but frustrating!

Udon Thani Immigration also charge ฿500 for a certificate of residence and also insist you need 2 if renewing bot car and motorbike licences.
I had already inquired at the Department of Land Transport so knew only 1 was neaded along with a photocopy.

1. Do I need to show them proof of accommodation for the entire 60 days I will be there?
2. Can I book a place for a week or two, and tell them I plan on visiting other areas and hotels, but do not currently have that information?
When I applied for my Tourist visa I booked a hotel in Bangkok for one night on Agoda and uploaded that to the application.
They also ask will you be staying anywhere else in Thailand to which I wrote my home address in Thailand and no proof was asked for.
My application was succesful.
