When I saw the title I thought you would be looking for an American handyman.
Was expecting comments about work permits not being given to foreigners for such occupations.- 2

Ok thanks for the info and the rough price range - definitely would be wanting to avoid any cowboys as have heard horror stories.
Do you know what the typical construction time is for something like this?
It will be in the Pattaya area but for later on in the year - just wanted to do a bit of research now to see what to expect and then go and get some quotes etc in a couple of months from now -
Could anyone tell me approximately what it would cost to get the following pool built?
And also the estimated actual construction time?
8x4m overflow salt water pool
I appreciate that price and build time could vary depending on many things - but just looking for some ballpark estimates based on anyone with recent experience of current costs etc.

You have a pcr test result that allows you to leave Thailand.
That's enough.
A temperature check will be the only thing you'll have to do.
Do you need a PCR test to leave Thailand? I thought you just needed one if the country you are travelling to required it?

I think after 5 days she can pay to do another test to potentially end home quarantine early, doing the 'Test to release' option.
Check this link: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-test-to-release-for-international-travel
As for getting vaccinated in the UK - it should be no problem at all. Check this out: https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-services/visiting-or-moving-to-england/visitors-from-outside-the-european-economic-area-eea/But to be fully vaccinated she will need to obviously remain in UK until she get the 2nd dose (time between doses will depend on vaccine). And then wait 14 days after 2nd dose before being considered fully vaccinated.
Good luck- 1

I believe that you have to go to the health department that provided the vaccines and where you are registered to receive the vaccine.
Ok thanks for the info.

Does anyone know where to get the yellow vaccine book/passport thing that will be required for travel?
I saw details about how to get in BKK but wondered if there are any places locally to get one -

Well the Pfizer vaccinations that were performed around 19th August at both Central Fest. and the BHP were definitely appointments., sent via SMS. Good luck...
And yesterday at Central Festival they were appointments sent via sms rather than walk ins.

Thanks....................so is it walk-in first come first served as reported in the news section or sms by appt only?
I could get my @rse down there and find out of course but i suspect it will be queue up first come first served regardless of SMS
If you got the text you will get the jab. For walk ins there will be a limited number available given out on a first come first served basis.

Keep an eye on the Bangkok Pattaya Hospital Facebook page. The other day they had an announcement for walk in availability on a specific day for any expat over 18. That was for Astra Zeneca.
Perhaps they will do another one soon. -
I have had one from there before. I believe it's called MadCow Burger by Toni Santos. Have them in BKK too.

OP, I have ben doing marriage extensions in Jomtien for 3-4 years now and always required KR2.
Not sure what you mean by getting a KR2 updated, as its a document you get reprinted each year then give it to immigration, ie: still married.
This was my first renewal (after my initial application last year). When I applied for my first extension last year, I just handed in the KR2 that I originally had.
But this time, they said it had to be updated i.e. I couldn't just hand the original KR2 in. I had to get an updated version from the office where the marriage was registered.

We went today to Ampeur Banglamung to get an updated KR2. Took 3 minutes. The only thing required was my wife's ID. I didn't have to show my passport and my attendance there was not even necessary. At the past I remember we had to sign the KR2 - this time no signatures were needed. So, super easy.
Agreed. It was very easy. I went alone to get it updated - no need for wife to be there or any signatures like you say

Ah ok - I guess this must be a fairly new thing in Jomtien then.

I thought it might have been because I have a different passport number now to what was on my original kor ror 2. But this was the case when I made my extension application last year and I wasn't asked to get it updated.

Pupen is very popular for seafood.
The Kebabist is a good quite new Indian place in Jomtien. Indian By Nature also great. Masala Twist decent too.
