  1. I've been insured with them for two years. Maybe I'm not old enough to have those conditions attached!
  2. And get vaccinated - or isn't there one available for the new variant?
  3. Thailand doesn't have a 6 months rule, it just requires a passport that is valid for the duration of the visit. Unfortunately, a lot of airlines (and agencies) err on the side of caution and might not let you check in.
  4. Are you allowed to make a statement like that here? Maybe lose the capital K 🤭
  5. This is the answer. Great, insightful, post. Should be pinned!
  6. Mainly because it's fun, the girls (or boys) are sexy and often very attractive and it's cheaper than utilising the services of prostitutes in most people's home country. In fact, it's far removed from the prostitution you find in most parts of the world.
  7. Not just Bangkok and Chiang Mai - pretty much all over Thailand and SE Asia, except in the deep south. Just something you have to put up with if you have to live here.
  8. If you live here, surely you'd buy a car?
  9. Paying for sex from someone aged 18 and over is not illegal, assuming it's done privately and not in a "brothel".
  10. For clarity, this link summarises your point better: https://www.lannaist.ac.th/keeping-our-teenage-children-safe/
  11. Do you have a link to the small print for these WRLife's exclusions? I can't see anything about 41 'old age illnesses' that are excluded.
  12. Not really. The minimum age for prostitution is 18 in most countries, including Thailand. As @Liverpool Lou has pointed out, paying for sex in Thailand is not, in itself, illegal but if the provider is under 18, it most definitely is!
  13. When has anyone ever said there is "no prostitution in Thailand"??
  14. Very sad. But it's not uncommon for people to speculate about the causes of tragic deaths like this - they happen on almost a daily basis, and it's just part of the nature of this type of Forum.
  15. As a Brit myself, I think you're probably right. I had a grudging respect for the late Queen, but those times are gone. Britain is sinking fast due to pushing the 'self-destruct' Brexit button, and radical change is necessary.
