  1. In Jomtien Complex there is a bar which has Trivia Night about once a week, on Tuesday. Believe the name is BuBu bar and is located close to Dick's Cafe. Coming from the beach area it is located on the first entrance into Jomtien Complex aka Supertown

Here's a tidier way to show the link above.

    Treadmill

That is junk - a complete waste of money. It might be ok for a child or a very light adult.

I would recommend Fitness 7 at the Avenue Shopping Centre, 2nd Road, the space where California Wow used to exist. They have good treadmills, in an air-conditioned area that is open 24 hours. I think the price is cheap, although "cheap" is subjective.

Please walk outside than on a treadmill and it's free.

roger101 says he has mobility problems which may rule out Fitness 7 since there is a long flight of stairs to reach the gym. Otherwise it is a good choice. Cost is 1600 Baht/month.

  3. I have/had a farang friend here in Pattaya who is having a mental health issue and does not understand nor believe it. I have suggested he try to get medical help but he tells me I am the crazy one. It is very frustrating to try to help him or even speak with him. I do fear for his safety but do not know how to help him.

  4. One thing you must do is have a trusted friend, such as Executor, and give him PINs for your ATM cards to your bank account. Don't leave these numbers in your safe or where someone can have access to them. You can put these numbers on your mobile device/computer if you wish. Also give your trusted friend a key to your room in case of emergency and access to your safe. Once you die the police will come to your room to get your Passport and whatever else and lock the room.

This is especially important for someone who lives alone.

See, some people come to the conclusion that I am just a newbie to Wise!

I have had an account with them for over two years.  This new security process was a surprise, so I was just trying to inform all of this significant change in the process.

I'll have to see what happens on my next request which will happen in July.

Same as you, fceligo, I have had an account with Wise for years and no problem, but  a week ago I was asked to submit ID and Selfie to verify my account before they would do transfer. Took me a week to figure it out since I do not normally use a cell phone (use computer). Once I understood what they wanted I was able to submit the documents and received verification notice within a hour.
