  1. Probiotic pills are probably useless, who knows if the bacteria is still alive or not. Best thing to do if it's possible in Thailand is to make your own sauerkraut, buy kefir grains and make your own kefir, eat a healthy diet with decent amount of fiber to feed the good bacteria. Junk food, sugar and soda will feed the bad bacteria. There's also natural antimicrobials you can take to kill off bad bacteria like oregano oil, but I think Thailand probably won't have this kind of stuff, your better off being in the west when it comes to this kind of stuff.

  2. So I started a new job without the proper shoes needed, I noticed my toenail on my big toe was a dark colour, It looked bruised so I thought nothing of it, couple of weeks go by and it's still not changed so I take a closer look and the nail as become loose on the left side, I cut off the loose part and I'm left with almost half a toenail, it's still attached to the toe but it looks dead, almost white looking no colour. I feel no pain or discomfort, there's no puss or fungus. I doubt it's due to infection, it seems like this was work related, wrong shoes for the job. Anyway, do I need to see a doctor or will it just heal and grow back on its own?

  3. Not sure if he's saying numbers will be back to normal by October or the boarders will reopen for international tourists by October... But I really really hope they reopen the boarder in June, if not June at least July. The thought of not being in Thailand this low season is kind of depressing. I guess there will be other countries opening up in the summer but it ain't the same as Thailand

  4. From what I understand at the moment, Thailand wants domestic tourism to start again first, and also maybe will allow Chinese and south Koreans to come. That's why some hotels are opening up in June and July. But I haven't heard any news about Western tourists, that's still unknown in terms of what Thailand will do, some say July or August Thailand will allow westerns in, some say this year is finished, but it's all just opinions, anything could happen.

Am not married to a thai, am here as an expat full time, dont really care about tourists.  Many "tourists" still here at my condo complex, Russians, Chinese, some Indians etc...  More will come and stay illegally for a few days or weeks, cannot stop the AirBnB's run by the Thail owners. Seem daft IMO, no swimming, no gym, cant go to beach, have to order food delivered, yet they still come for some reason. A group of 4 backpackers from Europe in their 20's just arrived 2 nights ago, came in by taxi from Koh Chang they said.

    Thailand addiction is real

  6. Still very low compared to Western countries, this virus killing 10 or so people every month will just have to become the norm just like the common flu, so businesses can start reopening again and Thais can go back to work. Only issue is letting tourists back in the country, I would say they would have to order some rules, must wear masks in public areasx temperature checks at bars, shopping malls etc, wash hands, probably will have to quarantine certain people from hit hard countries for 2 weeks. Not sure how the bar scene would work with social distancing and mask wearing, it will be strange times, I'm hoping I can get a flight to BKK in July.

  7. My point is that Thais would have started wearing masks more seriously back in January/February when the virus was making news headlines, but in the USA, Europe, UK etc.. Most people were not wearing masks because its not the Norm to do. Chinese start travelling into countries, virus starts spreading, it spreads like wildfire in the western countries because of no mask wearing, but spreads much slower in Thailand because of the mask wearing. Then the lockdown is ordered, its too late for western countries, most people still not using masks, virus is still spreading but slightly slower than before. Thailand seems to have it under control, numbers are small, due to the public planning ahead of time with the masks. That's just my theory
