  2. Yes, I was also wondering how the OP managed to buy a property in his own name.
  3. Insurance ?? Most locals only have the requisite government insurance which is paid with the road tax. Almost worthless
  4. Well I and many others have stopped transfers and are running down existing funds until there is definite clarification
  5. The Thai welfare system does not support any non-Thais. We do not qualify for benefits of any kind
  6. Even if you got the business up and running, you would need some kind of work permit even for talking to customers. And pretty sure that your business model is reserved for Thais only.

  8. About 35% of it. So will Immigration accept the monthly transfer amount as before or after the tax deduction ? If after, then the 65K would need to be more like 100K

  11. Nissan have also shut the dealership at Laem Chabang. Nearest option is on Sukhumvit between Naklua and the 36 roundabout. Tiny place with very limited parking available, went in to ask about servicing and all 3 available staff had no idea. B-Quik will be getting a lot more Nissan customers.
  12. Best time to go to the big supermarkets is between 2pm - 5pm.

  14. Hopefully sooner rather than later as I won't be bringing any of my pension over until the whole thing is finally clarified. Brought over a year's worth in December so can sit it out
  15. So you would have to pay tax on all of your pension when it is sent here
  16. Could he advise us on the upcoming tax fiasco that will start in January ?? Still no official clarification
