Yes, And if the world want's the wheat in Ukraine they should go get it. India should lead the pack of ships from many UN countries needed to get the grain out because Russia is still friends with India, and Russia knows it's running out of friends.

Rather than losing friends , BRICS expansion could have the opposite effect & ultimately challenge the economic power of the G7 nations.

How is this relavant to the topic? Did you fly after 1st of May? Are you unvaccinated? How did you submit Thailand Pass application without vaccination certificate and without RT-PCR test? What did you provide in the field for the certificate?

This is what I noticed also , the field needs to be completed before the application can proceed ????

I'm sure about it. I flew Sydney to SIngapore then 45m transit then S'pore to Bkk.

To board the flight in Sydney and to enter S'pore (for transit) had to have a full PCR international negative report no older than 2 days at a'port check-in time.

Therefore, obviously, this report would be far too late to include in the Thailand Pass application.

It was a key document at a'port check-n, at transit and on arrival in Bkk.

So you were able to show a RT-PCR after you got the Thai pass before entering rather than during your pass application ?

I cannot see how you could get a PCR test result done within 72 hours of departure and be able to get Thailand Pass unless they let you start the application and the add the test for for final approval.

Yeah not much time for delays or errors , seems it needs to be added while applying for the pass no sooner than 72 hours before departure. Would be easier & much less stressful your way though .

Smart of him to say this.

A few more days until the Ukrainian army ceases to exist as a military body. Most of you guys here are clueless, living in the western media echo chamber. Brace yourselves for a big surprise.

Agree 100% .. the propaganda coming from the usual sources stinks.  Someday people will wake up and smell the coffee .

  6. My son's mother has a 12 year old son from a previous relationship and her own home with some land . The agent has said they could get her a "visit visa" easily with the 300k in her bank along with showing her home/land and her son to come back to . I understand where your coming from with banking 300k being a "no no" but the way I see it is , if I get stroked for the money then the money I pay every month to my son's mother would stop . I think would deter any skullduggery on her part.  Thanks for the advise ????

  7. Maybe someone here can point me in the right direction. I am in the process of getting a British passport for my son (in Thailand with his mother ) and I would like her to come with him to the UK . I am using a visa service for the passport for my son and have enquired to them for a visa for my son's mother ... Basically they've told me I need to show my bank account to procede with the tourist visa for her or place around 300,000 baht in her account . I would prefer not to show bank statements as this could open up a can of worms with my son's mother and with the UK taxman so by adding money to her account would make more sense to me .

My question is has anyone had experience in applying for a visa this way or is there another option I don't know about .  TIA

  8. Hi, does anyone know the procedures with a funeral in esaan when each village contributes upon a death of a local . Ive noticed a local guy comes around and collects 20/50 baht each time upon a death and pools the money to make things a bit easier on the family involved with the loss .

My understanding is this money is used for food for visiting mourners and any other expenses that may occur as a result of the passing away of their loved ones .

My question is , is my assumption right or is this money used to pay monks for the service they provide during the funeral only and the family pays for all the food for the 3/5 days ?

The reason I ask is i have been roasted a few times before with bogus hospital fees and obscure money demands and now dont believe a word my ex says .

Thansk in advance for any constructive advise or info .

We'll be doing an indoor, hydroponic grow to eliminate bugs / pest / mold etc. There's money to be made, but it depends on your grow methods and lighting. Indoor DWC hydroponic systems are sterile, huge reduction in time taken to grow and a big increase in final yield. Using advanced LED quantum board lighting systems with correct plant training techniques increases your yield further.

Growing outdoors in this climate is a waste of time. Greenhouse systems are very prone to mold, pests, bud rot etc. The key questions are strain types, getting started and further information etc... I can't seem to find any info that isn't in a newspaper story. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Strain info and advise can be got from any decent site selling seeds . Sensiseeds have a good site and they give advise on all seeds sold . They deliver worldwide and are well established .

The key to stopping mould i have found is plenty of air circulation and not to pack too many plants ino one area . This is key with hydro and all growing medium.

Sensiseeds have seeds which are genenically  designed to be very tolerant to humidity and not prone to mould . In theory these can be grown in high humidity areas without much human intervention.... autos etc.

This is nto a hospital bill. It is a letter from the insurance Commission.

The letter is addressed not to victim on motorcycle but to owner of the car deemed at fault.

The car owner evidentally did nto have insurance as required by law (or so the letter states)

Accordingly the car owner is being asked to pay the hospital bill.

The amount is 26, 699 and not the 60,000 OP had mentioned.

If the car owner fails to pay, the hospital will be paid by the Victims Compensation fund. The car owner will then be liable to reimburse the Victims Compensation Fund in that amount plus interest.

Nothing in this is asking the motorcyclist to pay anything.  It appears the hospital submitted a bill to the Insurance Commission's Victim Compensation Fund, as they should.

The issue is now between the OIC Fund and the driver of the car. Either way the hospital will be paid.

Thank you , so it seems the motorcyclist hasn't to pay anything,  so it seems a bluff to make my friend cough up a fistful money for a phoney bill .

As he isn't insured he should have paid the hospital 26,699 Bht by 10 November. As he hasn't paid, the Victim Compensation Fund will have paid on his behalf so now he needs to reimburse the Victim Compensation Fund the initial sum plus 20% so now owes 32,038.80 Bht.

If he doesn't pay he'll get done under the Protection for victims of car accidents Act with a fine ranging from 10K Bht to 525K Bht.

Above according to Bixby vision which although not 100% accurate tends to be good enough to have a decent shot at deciphering most of the time:

Good old bixby ... thank you

  12. Here is the letter supposedly sent to explain payment is required ...I can't see any mention of money, unless it is written in letters rather than numbers .

Hopefully somebody can decipher it . Thanks

Free at the government hospital where he is registered.

If an emergency and he is to ill to be safely transferred to it, then free at any government hospital (but might need a call to the NHSO to enforce that/sort it out, the cashiers don't know what was and was not an emergency and just automatically bill anyone not registered at that hospital under the universal scheme).

If a private hospital he would be liable unless it was a life and death emergency and impossible to transfer him to government hospital in which case the first 78 hours should be free but almost always needs intervention from NHSO to enforce that.

Easily 95% of these sort of questions turn out to reflect and attempt to get money for the foreign friend and often over something that did nto actually occur.

Have you actually seen this bill?

I haven't seen the bill but I will ask for it ans if possible post it ...its obviously going to be in thai so it could say anything and I wouldn't be able to read it . Yes this is an attempt to squeeze money from a " foreign friend " bit the accident actually did happen .

It involved a motor cycle who was run over by a car who in turn was hit from behind by another car .... turns out all involved were drunk .... amazing I know ., ive seen photos of the injured person who apparently has been hit with a 60,000 baht hospital  bill . He was in hospital for a few months and almost lost a leg . He's been out a few weeks now and it seems just now he's received a bill from the hospital and unable to pay . His daughter (friends girlfriend) has asked my friend to pay the bill , ive informed him that I think the treatment for a thai national was free and its a scam to squeeze money from him . I will try to get the bill and hopefully someone can translate to see if it is actually legitimate . Thanks everyone for your advise and thoughts .
