Hi
My girlfriend and I planning to fly to Phuket from Bangkok but before to booking our flight and hotel I need to know how's going regarding the restaurants, bar and malls closing time. We are currently in Pattaya and it's not too bad in here about the closure time, so if Phuket would be a ghost island we won't come

43 Baht for one GBP? Yea but it didn't last for long, now we are back to 42.70, and in any case 43 is still a too low price so there is very little to celebrate

I have though the UK have this rule on international travelling already sometimes from January.
Same as the USA.
I don't see a difference from the previous order
I've landed in Bangkok about 20 days ago and the difference is that I didn't have to fill any form upon my departure ,no cop in sight no one asked me why I was traveling But now you have to fill out a form and it's seems that the exemptions are significantly reduced. If they stopped me I would have told them I was returning to my home since I'm not an UK resident. But now that option in no longer mentioned in the permitted options list. Somethings has been changed and it's a nightmare

I been lucky I've fly from London to LOS about 20 days ago, in order to meet my girlfriend. But if they had stopped me I don't know how I would have reacted, this is 'a real abuse of authority.

Agreed... those who don’t want to be vaccinated should be free to carry the virus and expose those who may be in high risk groups.... Its their right, right???
Even those who are been vaccinated carry the virus, probably you do not aware how these vaccine work, or ask to Bill Gates

Many years ago in the 70's when you landed in Thailand you needed to get your vaccination card stamped before you could go to immigration.
Yes but that vaccination card was based on a real vaccine and not on a genetic drug

Yes of course: the vaccine passport will open all the doors to you, beyond ones included

I landed two days ago so I've avoided it

People will accept to get vaccinated only when the vaccine will be safe and effective, and currently it's not

Another issue that I notice not being mentioned at all in this topic is regarding the covid test issued 72 hours before departure. Let's assume that it result positive you will lose your bookings and your money.
I think this stops many people from taking the trip, the challenge is huge.

As long as the quarantine at expensive facilities and the covid certificate that must be issued 72 hours before departure will remains in place no one will came

This is the Pattaya waterfront two days ago between 18 /19:00, normally it's quite crowded at that time of the day.
Well, no comments needed, the images speak for themselves just a ghost town.
But no problem, now these four Chinese tourists arrived with the STV will revive the economy of this town and the whole country as well
-
Well, that means I'll spend the quarantine period in my accommodation

The lack of compassion in the replies is mind-blowing. He is in a difficult position. He's feeling all sorts of emotions. He misses being with his partner. He just wants to get home to Thailand. I see lots of people scolding the man for not returning sooner. You should all be ashamed of yourselves for supressing your humanity.
I totally agree with you. The inhumanity of certain individuals is quite sickening. I can just wish them to find themselves in miserable situations in the future. Sooner or later the life will show them the bill

it is useless to explain it to certain troglodytes since they do not take into account cases of needs or emergency

and when did Swedes get microchipped?
For a while! You obviously missed something, but if you like I can also tell you another about the Swedes.
Sweden is the only country in the world (at least to my knowledge) to have abolished cash. In Sweden, cash is banned and refused as a means of payment These are the information in my possession and I sincerely hope that they are wrong
-
Coincidentally they have chosen Chinese and Scandinavians or the ones most prone to accept these impositions. Chinese coming from decades of Communist dictatorship, while the Scandinavians especially the Swedes are already used to it since the most of them are already microchipped

If anyone hasn't yet grasped that Thailand with its enormous financial reserves can keep the borders closed for decades should they so choose, then you have now
You can come in but the restrictions will be so onerous that no one will. Thank you for your past custom x
Well it's sound quite strange that the tourist companies, hotels and so on that are going to shut down, and those who are starving, are not benefiting from these enormous financial reserves
-
Obviously after paying a lot of money for your reservations, insurance, flight etc.. you will have to hope and pray to pass the thermal scanner check at the airport otherwise you won't even be boarded.
I point out that these thermal scanners are not always reliable
Good luck

Yeah, but we are talking about the immediate reactions but what should worry us are the medium and long term ones of which nobody knows anything about
Let's not forget that it acts in the cell's DNA and once our DNA has been altered there is no way to fix it, then you keep it for the rest of your life,
But not only this: the altered DNA will be hand over to the future generations It won't be never deleted
