I have heard from a very reliable source in Sukhothai that research has shown that if shops sell alcohol between 2pm and 5pm the solar ice-caps will melt, dinosaurs will roam northern Thailand and the sky will fall in. So best to be safe and avoid such catastrophe.

Just part of Thai culture, surprising no-one at all.
Where does the word "potentially" fit? If plod can shake down anyone for a bribe he absolutely will, there is no "potentially" about it.

"On Monday, he told reporters it was “necessary," given the country’s protracted political deadlock, for people to move past the party’s earlier promises not to cooperate with military leaders."
I wonder what other promises are going to be ditched to stay in power?

The best outcome for Future Forward (and Thailand) is for them to move to the opposition benches and let Pheu Thai reveal their true colours by joining with junta lackeys such as Anutin and the Democrats.
FF will utterly destroy all these clowns in the next election and will be able to reform Thailand unhindered.
Rome wasn’t built in a day.
"FF will utterly destroy all these clowns in the next election and will be able to reform Thailand unhindered." But only if there is a "next election".

Not wanting to point out the bleeding obvious, but ensuring they can shoot you is probably not the #1 item they should work on to gain the public's trust.

“On March 16, 2007, the court assigned me the administrator of my father’s estate, with the ITV shares no longer having any economic value. In 2014, the ITV shares were delisted from the Stock Exchange of Thailand, so they can no longer be traded on the stock exchange. Since becoming a Member of Parliament, I have disclosed my assets and liabilities to the National Anti-Corruption Commission and have been extremely transparent in this matter.
https://www.khaosodenglish.com/news/2023/06/06/pita-fights-against-itvs-revival-already-transferred-shares/Thanks for sharing this. It is clear that he does not own shares in an operating media business. But when will truth and facts deter the military and elite from destroying the competition?

What a waste of time and money. Why don't the EC just ban the party, ban Pita from politics for the rest of his life because "we want to and that is what our bosses told us to do so we can keep our lovely military dictatorship for ever".

Surely Pita must have known the army would try every trick in the book to disallow the election if he came out ahead. The "media shares" accusation is an old one. Surely he is not so dumb as to have left that vulnerability open. But I am sure the "vested interests" and generals will keep going until they void the election and stay in power. (but wait, they already have the majority enshrined in their cooked up constitution). Stand by for ............ business as usual

No surprise. The military will hang on to its grip on power till the very last drop of blood of the ordinary Thai citizen. Disqualify the opposition, all tyrants use this tactic, just look at Hun Sen

The military locked in its control of the government in the constitutional change after the coup. No need for any more coup, the Military is in control, there is no such thing as freedom and democracy in Thailand. The Land of Smiles is fast becoming the Land of Tears

This is just STUPID....The only reason I can think of to keep saying this over and over is because another Coup is already planned.....
But only if he does not win the election.
