Transport ministry investigating 10,600+ complaints about taxis

Does the 1684 number have English speakers available to take complaints? If not, those 10,000+ complaints were likely from Thais only. I’m guessing it would be much more than that if non-Thais could complain. -

I think it’s done at check-in. I noticed last time that my passport was scanned at the desk. Any overstayers then referred to Border Force maybe? -
Chinese tourist killed by a pickup truck on his first day in Thailand

Might have been one of the bodysnatcher vehicles. They often drive like complete lunatics. -
From the linked article: ‘…..added that hee received a proposal document from the Joint Private Sector Committee….’ We’re using Chinese pronouns now?

Agreed on the best car for the price, imo. I did take the old one to a detailers in Bangkok and got a 'full colour restoration' done on it. It's better than before, but they said it couldn't be fully restored, as it would need a respray to do that. I then advised they should rename their product in that case. It cost 6,000 baht.
-
Thanks. This is one question I had before. Am I right in assuming though that this applies more to lighter colours?
-
Thanks for the details. This is pretty much what I’m hoping for. Mine is a Civic RS as well, in red. I was surprised at the amount of extras they threw in without even asking (rear sensors, dash cam, mats, boot liner, plus the usuals) and 130,000 baht discount. I pick it up tomorrow. I think you’re right about the colour. My current Civic is white and it has faded, even though I’ve taken great care of it. This is causing a problem as potential buyers assume it’s been in an accident as both bumpers and other plastic panels are whiter than the rest.
-
I’m not sure what the guarantee entails, but the price includes 8 re-applications over the two year period. I’m not sure if those are free or not. I realise it won’t stop stone chips, but most of my driving is in Bangkok, so hopefully that won’t be too much of a problem. I’m just hoping it’ll keep it nice and shiny for the time it’s on there.

Thanks everyone. I’ve decided to go for the two-year package and see what it’s like. I can always continue after if it’s really good. Thank you all again, much appreciated.
-
My current car (7 years old) is white, and the paint has faded slightly, which is one reason why I’m considering the ceramic coating. I had a full colour restoration done, but it’s still not as the original. The new car is red.
-
Thanks, all good to know. Fortunately the car will be parked undercover while it’s not being used.
-
Thanks. They look very nice indeed. I’m being quoted 24,000 baht with 24 follow-up treatments and ‘guaranteed’ for five years. They also do a two-year deal for 18,000 with 8 follow-ups. I’ve never had it done before so I don’t have anything to compare it to. I’m in Bangkok.
-
Thank you. Good to know.

I’m getting new car soon, and the Honda dealership are asking if I want ceramic coating. It looks nice, but does anyone have any experience with it? Thanks.

I’d be surprised if any lessors would be interested in doing a deal until TG are officially out of their financial rehabilitation negotiations. Plus, four of their A380s (plus other types I’m sure) are leased, and haven’t been returned. -

TAT is an apt acronym, as that’s what Thailand has become.
