What they fail to mention is that in January of this year the taxes for foreign owner business increased 100 percent but wait it gets worse. Used to be that the value of your Thai company was based on the underlying asset ( such as the land that your home is on) but that formula has changed and I was assessed the total value of the company ( land plus house plus bank balance ) so my effective taxes went up 250 percent compared to last year. I suspect their little 40 million baht minimum investment scheme will become the "cost basis" for tax purposes. Run Forrest run !

As an International Ambassador of Good Cheer and Goodwill I can confirm that there are in fact no prostitutes in Thailand. In my travels around the Kingdom I have observed only Social Hostesses and Professional Companions graciously offering to render assistance to lonely travelers. It's a crack-up to read about a crack-down. Will it be a frontal assault or clandestine attack from the rear ?

All the alcohol ban has accomplished is to increase traffic deaths due to the increase in alcohol consumption by the frustrated locals racing to beat the curfew on their beat up motorbikes with no lights, no helmets ( but religiously sucking on that filthy mask) . Soi 12's the red light district ? Seems to me it's All a red light district...Massage ? Hehe enjoy the stroll...

Thailand hopes to welcome tourists to Bangkok, top cities next month
Greg O replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
No restrictions on travel to Hua Hin from Isaan unless you're trying to get across Buriram province as They have self imposed travel restrictions. I've been traveling all around Thailand and just avoid " make a U turn when necessary" when stopped by the thought police. Most of it with the exception of Phuket is a big charade as the majority of police haven't received their proper pay in several months and are simply not motivated which is why most of the temporary checkpoints are unmanned but have food and water available ...Fear factor " Thai style " just a suggestion with no substance. Safe travels...
