I'm trying to figure out how a bullet comes through the ceiling, so is presumably on a downward trajectory, but hits him under the chin and lodges in the back of his head when he's lying own on a bed?

Apparently it didn’t come through the ceiling as stated previously:

Police arrived at the scene to gather evidence and found a damaged hot water flask hit by a bullet, but no bullet holes in the ceiling, suggesting the shot came through the ventilation.”

I love most BYD models, but that looks dull as dishwater. Definitely designed with taxi fleets in mind.

ha, yes it is far from exciting and seems perfect for a taxi or fleet vehicle, seems strange why they would want to release it for the general public.

But, who knows, the price is right and some see the advantage of a decent sized storage area, might see it delivering Lazada and Shopee stuff anytime soon 😀

Other countries that don't care that the steering wheel is on the opposite side?

Different countries (and even states in the US) have different requirements that must be met to be approved for sale.

So RHD cars can only be manufactured in RHD countries and cars cannot be manufactured in different states in the US if the requirements are not the same ??

What exactly are you trying to say ??

We are all just guessing, but that is the fun part.

I think BYD got themselves into a bit of a pickle. They sold around 40,000 cars under the EV3.0 and 3.5 agreements. As I understand it, they now have to match those sales numbers with domestic produces cars in 2024 or 1.5x in 2025.

With falling overall auto sales, the only option for BYD is to dump prices.

To make matters worse, some potential EV buyers might skip the showroom and look at the growing second hand market.

But like we have discussed before those domestic produced EV’s can be exported to neighbouring countries, Lao and Malaysia for example or even the U.K., Australia and Brazil where BYD are selling okay to well.

You didn't get out much when in America huh? Or perhaps you lived in the desert. I was banging 5 a week one night stands when i was there. Messed up when getting married there.

Worked in Wisconsin ( Chippewa Falls ) for several weeks back in 2002 , some of the locals were telling us to go to Shooters Show Girls

One guy proudly proclaimed that the girls were TOPLESS !!, after seeing our confused expressions he explained.

    The state law was :

    Topless - no liquor license

    Covered - liquor license

seems like booze AND breasts would be just too much for the locals !!, no wonder there’s so many Americans over here !!

  6. A cautionary tale:

I was contacted yesterday by a poster in the U.K. who has had a Seal for 2 weeks now.

For whatever reason the showroom were polishing his car and an over zealous employee had managed to remove the silver coating on the front BYD logo.

( I had mentioned earlier that the front badge is unusual in that it is almost transparent, shine a light inside can be seen outside, and I think at one time it was designed to be illuminated ).

Now, because of the way the badge is mounted ( plastic welded ) the front bumper needs to be removed to repair/replace the badge, something the owner is not happy to do on a 2 week old car.

The showroom seems lacking in knowledge of the car,

    a) to cause the damage in the first place.

    b) they seem to be unsure how to proceed and are giving him the run around about how they will fix it.

So, a brief mention to your detailer to avoid the front badge when polishing can avoid a world of pain.

Stop complaining - at least you get over 500 km of range, with the AWD model only a female driver will get over 450 km  🤪

On a more serious note - what is your total kWh/100 km reading?

My cumulative is 13.7 kWh/100 km, my past 50 km is 12.6 kWh/100 km as I slowed when the 10% red lettering and warning popped up ( vaguely recalling the post about range disappearing rapidly below 10% ).

The point of my post being where does the Dynamic range setting get its figures from ?

You seem to forget I have the Premium with more range ( 650 NEDC )

BYD Seal AWD: Another trip to BKK, total distance run: 425 km; remaining battery: 7% or 35 km - so realistically, the max range is 450 km max. (my wife would probably do +5%)

Parameters: 95% of time 2 people, about 25 km with 3 on board. Temperature: outside of BKK and suburbs, around 34C, in the city 37C (per BYD gauge) speed outside city: max 120 km/h, most of the time around 110 to 115; driving mode setting: normal

Conclusion: the range is OK, but I would not want to have any less; the non AWD model is the more sensible selection....... but could I really live without the ooommp on occasion?  😁

On a totally different subject: Am I the only one who finds the 'two blink' one touch turn signal very odd, if not to say nonsense? I have had this feature on every car going back over 20 years, all car had 3 blink one touch turn signals.......... what's up with BYD? Are all BYD models like this?

It is one of the reasons I chose Premium, I have a regular around trip of 420 km, if i stay o/night and have a bit of running around it can run to 450/480 km. But that still gets me back home with around 15 - 20 % , which is ideal for the battery conditioning charge o/night.

Doing this run tomorrow with 4 adults there and back.

The RWD 313 horses and 330 nm torque is more than enough for me .

You know that this is the divide character, right?

    /   Like 5/10= 0.5?

Actually that is forward slash and represents 5 out of 10 and not divide at all.

Apple accept that the divide by or division symbol is absent and used the foreward slash symbol as their text replacement example in Apple Support Community.

( where is the divided symbol on an iPhone ? ).

Well, to answer my own question, there isn’t one !!

So I used “ text replacement “ to create a shortcut, copy the symbol and choose any letter or word combination to enable it.
I chose ++ to give me the ÷ option:
