A bit late to the party but I'm pleased to confound the doubters by confirming that having had stamps transferred to my new passport on 23rd January I then utilised the online 90 day report site on 26th January and was approved.

Did mine on 3rd March. Submitted it at 10:25am and approved at 10:34am. Great service.

When you write confirmed to you mean it was accepted or approved.
It appears the new site does not check when your report was due. I think it just sent to the office to do a approval or rejection of it.
If you did a report online on the due date it could still be approved after that day.
Hi Joe
Yes it has been accepted and approved with a new due date of 7th March 2022, despite being two days late. So you're probably right that it doesn't check. Can't help wondering how much latitude the system might give. I won't however be putting that to the test going forward but will process my online application approximately 7 days before official due date. Prior to recent problems with the old system I had over 2 years of successful online applications and hope this new system will do that and more.

Forget grace period. That only applies to in person report.
Online is up to due date.
That is my belief and why I was surprised that with an official due date of 5th December an online application made on 7th December was confirmed on 13th December.

You can do online reports up to the day the report is due. There is only a 15 days before that includes the report date in the count now. The 7 days before requirement was eliminated early last year.
Hi Joe
When you talk about the 'day the report is due' is that the official date shown on the previous report which was 5th December, or does it include the 7 days grace taking it to 12th December. I processed the online report on 7th December, 2 days after the official due date and 5 days before the end of the grace period. You seem to be suggesting that with an official due date of 5th December I can report online from 27th November until 12th December.

My 90 day report was due 5th December. I was away and intended to go to the office on my return to Pattaya before 12th. Back home I saw the Asean Now article regarding new online system and although it was now 7th December I registered and had a go. I was surprised it went to pending and thought it would be rejected for being late. With the holiday and weekend coming up I decided to go to Jomtien on 8th and did it there. Yesterday (6 days) I got the email notification of my successful online report so I'm the proud owner of two 90 day confirmations. Good to hear that some are getting quicker responses and hopefully that will be the norm going forward.

Registered yesterday and got email with password (to spam mail box as they warn) very quickly. Also had a bit of a problem with password being accepted but working fine now. Does anyone know if there is a way to change the password? So I did it yesterday, 7th, even though my due date was 5th. Surprised that it was accepted and is currently showing as pending. I assume it will be rejected as late, but we'll see. It does appear to be an improvement over the previous process.

Prior to recent problems (outside our control) I had a run of over 2 years completing the report online with no problems. During that time I have used both Chrome and Edge. Both browsers have an Internet Explorer extension which I have always used. I believe it may no longer be necessary on Chrome but it always worked so I stuck with it. I did get that 'contact immigration office' message on one occasion but it subsequently worked after I cleared history, cache etc.

My Bangkok bank in Pattaya have changed their procedure. Last year they were able to supply me a letter showing 12 months of international monthly payments, It took less than 30 minutes. This year they say it has to be done by Head office in Bangkok and it will take a week!
I did my retirement extension at the end of April. Same problem. Got the account ownership letter but told one week for the 12 monthly credits statement. As I was otherwise ready to go I went to Jomtien. I didn't tell them I didn't have it and they didn't ask for it. All done in 10 minutes bar collecting passport.

I’ve always had my pensions paid into my U.K. bank I use a company called TransferWise as they have the best exchange rates I get an update every day by email if you send £1,000 it costs £7 and I can tell you it is sitting in my SCB account within 10/20 minutes SCB charge me around 250 baht so the transfer charge for both banks is roughly £12-13 my Natwest used to charge me £23 plus I still had SCB charges and got a lessor exchange rate . I have a multi currency account so it doesn’t matter where I go I just input the currency required that is the best way to go it doesn’t cost anything to register just your time . If your on a retirement visa and need to show your bringing in x amount each month this might not be for you as it does not show that it was an international transfer
I use TransferWise and stay here on a retirement extension using 65k income method. I contacted TransferWise about needing foreign transactions and they asked me to nominate a recipient for that purpose and they would ensure all transfers would show as such. Been going over 12 months now and all show as foreign.

The majority who voted for continued closure are probably people who are still in receipt of regular weekly/monthly pay cheques. Of course they don't give a sh*t for Thais reliant on earning peanuts day to day. As for second wave I must have missed the first one. I did notice a small ripple but that was it.

so why not change to TMB bank. 12 months statement available online immediately with NO FEE involved.
According to the instruction document I was using (Pattaya City Expats Club) it requires the 12 month statement to be an original letter from the bank certified by them with stamp and signature. As stated above it turned out I didn't need it. I have attached the example PCEC provide.

I renewed my retirement extension towards the end of last month. I had a problem with my bank book in that I had left a long period between updates resulting in May, June and July of last year being missing. For those 3 months I substituted copies of pension payslip/UK bank statement/TransferWise invoice/Bangkok bank statement (internet print). I went to my account holding branch of Bangkok bank understanding that I could obtain the 12 month statement of foreign credits along with the account ownership letter on the day. They said it would take a week for the statement but provided the ownership letter. As I was otherwise ready to go I went to Jomtien anyway. After a short wait it was my turn and my documents were checked. I explained the bank book situation. I didn't mention the 12 months statement and neither did they. After 10 minutes I was done and picked up my passport with new extension the following day.

Have a standard battery model in the older car. Have had a few of these and they can get screwed up by the extreme heat. Like others I now detach it if parking in the sun. I seem to recall all of them were priced in the region of 2000 baht. When we bought another car I looked for one with a super capacitor rather than battery and found the Xiaomi Yi Nightscape. Had it a couple of years and no problems at all. Just leave it in the car wherever I park. Has a wifi connection. At the time cheapest on Lazada was 4500 baht and bought on Amazon for 2600 baht plus a little extra postage and import tax. I see its now on Lazada for just under 1800 baht. Good luck whatever you decide.

I recall reading several articles that postulated that it was more effective for those already with the virus to be wearing masks than those trying to avoid it. I have also recently read that the asymptomatic cases could be between 33% - 40% of the total. On that basis there could be a number of people wearing masks thinking that they are trying to protect themselves from others who are in fact protecting others from themselves. Therefore I think wearing a mask is a good idea.

I haven't time to read all posts at the moment so this may already have been mentioned. I used to fail regularly in my attempts to complete the report online. I then heard about the internet explorer extension for chrome and since using that I have had 6 consecutive successful online reports. Do also remember the oft mentioned time window of 15 to 7 days before report due date.

I use potassium permanganate solution to wash vegetables and fruit. Available in 7-11. Never had a problem.

I have had no problems for the last 4 reports. I've read that it now works with browsers other than internet explorer but prior to that, about a year ago, I became aware of an internet explorer extension for Chrome (there's one for Firefox too) and I started using that. Never a problem since so maybe worth a try. Available at:

'I was in Jomtien on 2nd May for my retirement extension based on income without an UK embassy letter. I've been doing transfers with TransferWise for over 2 years now and was able to show the full 12 months. There were actually 15 transfers in that time only 4 of which showed as foreign. As a result I had taken copious evidence that proved they had emanated from UK but they weren't interested in looking and were happy to grant the extension. What I did also have were occupational and state pension statements (the one's I would normally have presented to the embassy for the letter) so I have assumed that immigration were happy to accept that the money coming into my Thai bank (I had the appropriate letter and certified statements) was from that source without additional proof. I did try to ask whether this was the case going forward but the one guy working on the customer side of the desk was real busy and not prepared to answer questions.'
I posted the above middle of last month. It seems, at least at Jomtien, that if you have appropriate income source documents then they are not concerned if transfers don't show as foreign. I had been expecting to answer questions on this but there were none. It really was a very easy and fast process. Of course I don't know whether this is merely an example of leniency with a new system so I was keen to ensure that future transfers confirmed their overseas origin. On that subject I have just read the following from earlier on here:
'BKK bank is the leading Thai bank at ensuring this code, and if you use Transferwise - who have an agreement with BKK Bank, and a few others, the FTT code is automatic.'
My experience is that this is not correct. I first read that this was the case in December 2018 and changed monthly transfers from SCB to Bangkok bank. As stated above only 4 of 6 subsequent transfers had the FTT code and 2 were SMART transfers. I have contacted TransferWise and was advised the determining factor is where they send the money from. They asked me to nominate a recipient account and they would ensure that all payments to that account would be made from an account of their's that would generate a foreign transaction. I got the impression that the recipient account didn't have to be with Bangkok bank as I was told to nominate any of my accounts.

I did my retirement extension based on income at Jomtien on Thursday 2nd May without an embassy letter. I had verified statements stamped and signed by SCB and Bangkok bank and (after a visit to Central Festival) bank letters which I think merely confirmed the account was mine. I had changed to Bangkok bank in December after reading here that it would lead to TransferWise deposits showing as 'International Transfers'. They were full statements for 12 months, not extracted deposits only. Of 15 transfers made in that time only 4 showed as international. Because of this I had taken exhaustive evidence that the funds originated in UK. They didn't ask for it and the documents stayed in my folder. I had also presented occupational and state pension annual statements so It's possible they just accepted that these were the source of the funds transferred. Apart from having to get the bank letters the process was fast and painless!
