  1. Hi….Can anyone recommend an Opthomologist. Prefer Pattaya but would be willing to travel to Bangkok. Thanks!
  2. It would seem that further raids at BJ home(s) will not be necessary for now…….perhaps next year about this same time.
  3. Please be cautious in any swimming pool, particularly older pools in Thailand. The port (normally isolated) used to vacuum (high negative pressure) is very often located on a vertical wall on the pool. In newer pools it’s inside the skimmer receptacle (much safer). If someone forgets to close the port after a cleaning ……swimmers can be seriously injured. I always check this port when in an unfamiliar pool - and yes twice I have found this port operating.
  4. Well played bashing! No big words utilized (not too surprising)……but impressive use of CAPS and “ “ marks. Hope it felt good!
  5. Actually no, at least not at Pattaya DLT…….but they did some years ago.
  6. You seem quite obtuse…..reviewing a test result to improve your understanding is hardly the same as what you suggest.
  7. Now, at Pattaya at least, this cannot be done……and DLT staff won’t assist!
  8. Good to learn of a better experience - thumbs up Nong Khai - and another finger for Pattaya DLT!
  9. Certainly you can…….I simply won’t.
  10. Yes, your experience matches mine (from about 8 years ago)….but now they do not show which questions were incorrect …..and worse, when asked for that insight, they say NO!! Farcical! Good News……just learned my staff guy FINALLY passed the car computer test……no thanks to the warm-hearted folks at the Land Transport Office!!!!!!!
  11. Thanks, yes he has been studying these Q/A but can’t figure out where he’s going wrong - wouldn’t it be nice/reasonable to know which questions were answered incorrectly!
  12. My staff guy has now taken the computer test (at Pattaya Land Transport Office) 4 times …….each time he has correctly answered 43 or 44 of the total 50 questions (45 are required). Each time he has pleaded with the “diligent” staff to help him…..by showing him which questions were answered wrongly. These folks couldn’t be bothered! They refused every time. What an operation! Great service for a guy trying to do “the right thing”! BTW he passed the separate motorbike computer test - hard to understand why there are 2 different tests now. Only one test some years back.
  13. My brother-in-law is a monk. When he needs medical attention my wife and I must help. The Temple leadership informed my wife the Temple provides no help. I can’t help but wonder what happens to monks, in need, who have no family for support. Seems like a very strange system indeed!
  14. Well …..good to know so many neighbors seem to appreciate the darkness of the “Darkside”. The other “dark” implication (besides safety) of these failing (relatively) new street lights is the possible/likely corruption associated with purchasing/installing lights which quickly go belly up.
  15. I’m sure I am not the only “Darkside” resident to note the ever increasing failure of the relatively new street lights. If it didn’t have safety implications it would be laughable - an appalling situation truly.
