How do they treat people who were last vaccinated 12 months ago? I definitely recall a restriction stating that the most recent vaccination dose should be inside the previous 90 days or something like that. As more time passes this becomes far from realistic for people under the age of 75.

How about people who haven't been vaccinated and remain uninfected (as far as they know) or the recovered, regardless of whether they've been vaccinated or not?

In short : No. If I wasn't here already, I certainly wouldn't be coming.

But I am here already, so I remain.

I know people who've been vaccinated multiple times and got Delta (medium rated cold) and Omicron (mild cold). They're over it - any restriction is a step too far for these people.

They've recovered multiple times and have literally had enough of dancing to the tune of the dunces in charge.

Im back in america. But im comsidering going back to visit my wife if money allows while waiting for her visa to come to me in the US. As the seperation has been affevting is a lot. Also helped us to realoze how much we mean to each other. Looking back now to when i left and everything been through since been back to the US. Not sure if do the same thing. Probably. But more then likely would have tried to do more before left to help with the seperation. And maybe try to see about what cheaper lawyer in bkk could help us with her visa to move to the US. She also told me today i think it was. That her family now wants her to move abroad as she will benthe first innthe family to get a university degree. So thar she can have a better life then in thailand. Key part i feel is the move abroad to make a better life. Nothing about using a forienger to do so. So doing so on her own. I think maybe partly why is because of all the health problems ive been having. So maybe like a back up plan incase my health mase if should i couldnt bring her here to me. So that she still ensures a good future for herself from her own hard work. Since more then likely wont see a reply if send 1. Take care and know that during this time that even with things in america much better now for freedom and precovid life. There is still no easy anawer or solution to where we should live right now. Stay strong.

  2. Despite now being back in the US if was a nice read. I at first from the title thought you went crazy but while reading the title all made sense. Yes despite being moved back to the US i still have some friends back in thailand and my wife. So its still nice to be kept up to date on whats happening there and to be able to read for myself vs having to rely on my wife to tell me. As thats not a reliable source. It also helps to give things to talk about as well.

  3. Really dont know what kindness and hospitality towards people he is talking about unless only towards thais only. As the last 4 landlords ive jad have stolen from me as well as charged me for either damanges already there when moved in or that were caused by maitnance that came out to fix problems. Also they didnt want to report my living there and much more. Not to mention the 3rd 1 right after paying renr had all the power to my unit get cut and the door locked to the room to reser the power so i was forced out onto the street at 10 at night. Didnt get into a hotel till 4 am as me and my wife were stuck packing in the dark and both phones about to die. I could go on and on and on but we all know how we get treated by thais.

I recorded the event live.  I was there.  I posted on YouTube, and you are correct  many came on and said it was race, the thing is everyone else had on mask except for him and his white Russian girlfriend

Dose she not have any self respect. She happily walked away with him. Clearly nothing happened to Warrent such behaviour from him. If it was me I'd be so embarrassed and would walk away. I wouldn't be able to stay there.

I'd suggest getting in 2 months of beer now !

And if food delivered to your house is run by the government - I'd stock on tins and dried food immediately

That could possibly cist me my life if that hapoens which im sure it will. As i cant eat cheap rice. I cant eat a lot of rice. I cant eat thai food. I can only eat mostly food that used to back in america or what we call american food. If i try to force myself otherwise it will make me throw up to the extreme. So i really cant eat like that and need western/american meals. I dont see them bringing weatern meals to me or importing foods from amerixan supermarkets just to provide me with food. Foods that i list thst can eat. Not foods they say i can eat.

  6. I got 1 thing and 1 thing only from the post after the article. They are saying that the vaccine allows to return to normal life and can enjoy all your favorite things again.

Just trying to be creative in the way they promote the vaccine.

    Again my interpritation of everything.

I agree with you but a commentator said previously that in the LAOS it is not possible to live together if not married so the PM is according to his super traditional Thai point of view to apply the same law also in Thailand. So if this is true this news is very troubling, what will be next?

I will never settle down with a girl I can't live with before marriage. Too many people change after living together. Like for example say you have a girl and she acts all nice sweet and responsible. Then you are a person that has to have a clean kept place. But you only learn the trith that she is not a clean responsible person after start living together bas so does not wash dishses or do any cleaning and leaves the place looking disgusting always. Thats a hell of a lot of trouble to have to turn around and divorve her if can't live together first.

And that is also for Thai people??? Because there are more natives in Phuket than foreigners and natives spread more than foreigners.. And of course this is very good for asking people to come for their holiday in Phuket after they are vaccinated.. Sit in your hotelroom can not visit friends, all entertainment venues closed, don't swim in the sea or swimmingpool, and don't drink alcohol... But the expect that tourists will come... Stupidity with no end.. I will never go to Phuket and tell everyone I know not to go to

On youtube a Chinese girl was thinking about going to visit America after the covid pamdemic resides world wide but because of united airlines no longer wants to go as ahe menrioned in her comment and i commented best to check off Thailand too stating the problems here as well. China is a huge market for Thailand but eventually more and more will learn of how Thailand honestly sees them and will chose other countries instead. Heck even this girl was looking at America not Thailand as a place to visit.

Well, I've lived here quite a few years now,  could go  home if I wanted, (and I sure do "want") but stay for  the family here's sake. As  for racism here, it exists, not so much out the  backblocks,  but certainly when  you get near large towns and cities. But hey, think back, when you were in your own country and you came across a obvious  foreigner, did you react positively or not, I know I didn't,  and  I  would class my self as ethnocentric, rather than a racist.  Live and let live . Just  this latest fiasco was to be expected, not merely because of the mindset of the powers that be here, but their innate stupidity and ridiculous sense of superiority that exists in a country  that ranks  very far down on world listings. I will wait for my jab, when and if there is ever a "surplus"  and expect to have to pay some grossly inflated price for the honour.     As an addendum,   back  home,  ALL persons over the age of 50 are now receiving FREE    inoculations. ....  Notice the words ALL   and FREE  Anutin.

I responded very positively. My best friends/cloest were from africa, japan, and china. Heck i was chasing after the japanese girl instead of white american girls for a relationship. Even as a kid i prefered foriengers over americans to assoiate with. I just found them far more interesting to be around.

As disgusted as I am by this (if I was Thai I'd be embarrassed by this discrimination that could cost lives) I feel like I owe the Thai government a debt of gratitude -  Considering how the US vaccinated immigrants, both legal and illegal, along with the general population I actually feel, for the first time in several years, pride in being from the US.  After the last five years I never thought that would happen again.

(I'm sure that many of you from other western countries feel the same sense of pride and for good reason).  Yes we are better than this.

Im right there with you. For many years ashamed to say i am an american. But now im not and proud to say i am. Lets face facts. US government did its best for the pandemic. But as americans we stand up for what we believe in regardless if legal or not. Was only so much our government could do. Look at covid cases in america back in january was around 300k day and as of april down to around 30k a day. We are vacinating as many people as we can no matter who you are. Centers set up all over evem drive through and first come firsr serve. So if got there before ran out you got one. If i could afford to go back i would. But with no home nothing and only 1100 month impossible to do. I habe bad credit as well so no way id get approved for an apartment much less even meet income requirements to get 1. And with no family or anything id have no one to help me to get a place either. So i really dont have a choice but to stay here.

Which is why once you go the visa way and start bribing IO's in another province for an extension you are stuck with them for 90 day and return stamps. You were lucky they did not revoke your extension, you are only legally able to get that in the province where you live. Try going yourself to KK or Nan and tell them you live in Bkk but want to get an extension there!

Yes i know. But with my situation living off of a trust fund right now and have trustees incontrol of it. I cant get the legally required amount if monthly income for do it myself. So forced into using an agency. And they have already said if i went back to america they wouodnt do anything to help me. Takes time and money to hire lawyers to force them in the court system to do the right thibg and legally uphold the legal writings of the trust. They also said that they trust cant support moving me back to the states. Im in a bad situation and really dont know how to deal with it. Just hope and pray each day ill be ok.

Yes it is for some of us, as i cannot go myself, my wife has to take time off from her work to do it, yes  a bloody BIG burden.

Me last time i went immigration told me if i dont take a thai with my from now om to fill out all my paperwork and so on they wont take care of me. Thats a huge hassel for me and problem. As i cant make sure i always have a thai with me that alao speaks food english for do that for me. Not to mentiin thats illegal but the government wont do anything about it. As crimes and actions rearely have consequencses here.

    So are we.

I can't even tell you how many Thais I've met that want out of here because they have said Thailand has not good anymore and only getting worse. Thailand has no future. These are all current university students recently graduated or high school seniors that if they could would leave Thailand after high school and study at University abroad. Then only come back to thailand to visit family sometimes.

As long as it's not conditional or mandatory. I nearly died from having vaccines and I am not going through that again. My unvaccinated body is no threat to anyone's vaccinated one. I have been self isolating for over 7 years anyway.

Exactly. Last time I got a vacine I started getting sick always and hospital level sick too. Like when I get sick I am sitting with a fever of 42 or higher tend to look like I'm about to die and so on. And I normally stay like this for at least a week and even back and forth for a month or longer. Before my last vacine I never got sick like this. And also we not get covid before the vacine and if we get the vacine then we all if a sudden gett covid are they going to pay for all our medical bills as a result. What if it ended up costing us our lives. Are our loved ones going to be appropriately compensated for our loss do to being forced to take a vacine that ended up taking our lives. Some people really don't get it. A vacine is a chemical with traces of the virus in it. Any chemical that gets put in our bodies reacts with our individual chemical make up in our bodies allowing for our own reaction that can not be garonteed the same across everyone. Vaccines should also be optional and never mandatory for anything in life. And if it becomes mandatory then those who make it become 100% financially liable for any and all medical and any other problems we suffer as a result. Even if it's a medical problem that affects us for the rest of our lives and we get to chose our own medical care not then and regardless if the cost they have to pay for it.

I adapt to the country I live in and its people. Something that you clearly can't.

Please come at me like that. I'll stop you and force you to go the right way. If you try to go around me I'll have no problems putting my hands in you using force to stop you from going the wrong way then holding you by force till police arrive to deal with you for going the wrong way. I've already nearly caused many Thais to end up in serious wrecks for going the wrong way and down the sidewalk and forcing them to get off the sidewalk and go the right way which few times nearly caused them to get hit by cars on the street. You endanger my safety I have no sympathy for you at all. You go the wrong way and endanger my safety don't expect me to not consider and take it as an attempt to hit me or kill me with your car/motorbike. Which does not end week for you. Their are some areas where I have a reputation and Thais avoid me. Once they see me they turn around and do the right thing as they don't want to get into it with me. I don't give a <deleted> that this is Thailand. It's not excuse to drive the way they are. And all you are doing is telling then it's ok. If you are that <deleted> lazy to go the right way you have serious problems and shouldn't be on the rd in the first place.

I would presume the people/students surveyed were educated in the government school system as a majority of students learning in International and Private Thai schools can speak basic English. In government schools, Thai students are not nationally tested on their speaking skills. The English test involves a number of multiple choice questions, so they know they can just guess the answers, so don't pay attention in class. Teaching speaking and listening effectively to a class of 50-60 students in a Government school is virtually impossible. The only way the English proficiency will go up for the average Thai student is a complete restructure of the national tests, smaller classes in Government schools, and better facilities, training and evaluations for teachers.

I have met more Thais with english degrees either BA or Masters that can't even speak anything beyond hi in English. The problems is that nearly every English teacher in Thailand has no concept of the language at all to begin with. So that's no different then us teaching a language we have 0 skill in. Of course the students wont learn. Then on top of it the books for English have more errors then correct information as well so even then the majority of the information being taught is incorrect in the first place. So can we honestly expect Thais to be good in English when they books are horribly inaccurate and the teachers have no ability in the language itself.
