Wifes phone was snatched last month at Sukhumvit, police report done on same day but no update ever since. Safety in Thailand is getting worst. Always hold tight to your belongings and never use phone near the roads.

I'm sure the its brake's fault, never the driver.

The deceased, known as Thanawat, was found lifeless in the middle of the rightmost expressway lane, near his severely damaged Honda Lead motorcycle that had no registration plate.
No pity at all.????
The Porsche driver waited at the scene so he's pretty sure he is not at fault.

Stupidity at its finest. Rather risk her life reversing for 1km than taking the next exit and u turn.

Only 1 simple answer for all the questions: Life is cheap here.

Due to drive down to Bangkok next week for a few days........seven hour drive.
i have cancelled it.....I know the odds of being injured or killed are small, but really not prepared to take the risk unless it is a journey that is truly necessary.
The moment you stepped out of your home, the risk is already there in Thailand.

I bet he will be pardoned after 1 year and commit the same crime again. Criminals who had repeat offense would have no remorse.

Population control working well here. Things would not change and will never change. Just accept it.

Not acceptable, but given the lack of education, ongoing education and publicity about road rules I'd be inclined to believe the bus driver if he said 'I don't kow what these white lines on the road mean?'
Further not very wise to have a pedestrian crossing so close to a corner.
You don't need proper education to drive. Common sense which unfortunately does not exists here would do. Their main goal is money, pick up and drop off as many passengers as they could without any regards to safety.

Speeding, running on rightmost lanes, picking/dropping passengers on the middle of roads and now mowing pedestrian crossing zebras. Bangkok bus drivers do have wonderful achievements in their decorated CVs.

Autonomous driving would be perfect here to send more people into the khlongs.

What a sad country with no future. I don't see other countries with news teachers raping students frequently like here.

Sounds like 30 mil is not enough. Maybe another 300 would shut her up once and for all.

Truck drivers here are either sleeping or terrorizing the roads by hogging the overtaking lanes with black smokes.

So afraid of Covid yet still want to continue in person applications. Time to change all to online?
-
Yes, it's possible. Make sure you meet all requirements, the easiest would be 400k in bank for at least 2 months since you have trouble with documents from company.
-
Just follow exactly all documents required, else you will need to go again.

Its Meeting mint/suggestion
Waiting RG which will wait another few months or may be year to implementThanks for the information.
Would like to hear opinions from those who had applied. Is it worth spending the time and money applying ?
Below are my background
(1) living here for more than 5 years
(2) annual extension based on family (wife and kids)
(3) stable work and salary
Im fustrated with the annual extensions (past 2 years were much better) and dual pricing.
I also have plan to purchase house/land and start my own business so I'm wondering if the trouble is worth it.
Also, my Thai language is close to 0, just simple conversation, would that make it?

I read news mentioning that Thai language is a must for Citizenship application now. Does anyone knows if it has been implemented or just a proposal?
I'm thinking of applying for it but my Thai language is close to 0 but no issues with other requirements.

Does publicizing these videos serve any purpose beyond feeding voyeurism and stoking fear?
I’ve lived in Thailand almost 25 years now, had a car the whole time, ever once have I come across people getting violent over parking spaces.
The only times I’ve ever had anyone approach me regarding parking, they’ve been polite and respectful, just like the vast majority of people are polite and respectful.
Had a car but parked at home most of the time? People here just simply park anywhere they like causing traffic Jam and blocking other cars from coming out of their parking space. Walking further away for parking or spending time to find a proper parking space is non existence here especially in Bangkok.
