In the USA, you can be totally illegal and receive almost everything you could want, no jail time, instead (for some) stay in a five-star hotel in downtown Manhattan, given free cell phones, free medical, free food -- while US citizens struggle to pay their taxes, medical bills, and food and gas expenses.

18 year difference. That was pushing it by about 8 yrs, but in my case it worked out. She was 29 at the time and very mature and laid back. Been married 28 years. Best decision I ever made in my life.
