This has been the case for years, since we left the EU. and its certainly not the first article on this matter. there is no "timing" that could not be worse, One can either accept the situation, inform oneself of the requirements and carry on relatively unhindered, Or refuse to accept the situation and spend the rest of ones pathetic lives suffering the consequences, and wasting ones time posting boring comments such as "another brexit bonus" etc on forums like this, which after all will not change anything. Exactly what suffering has "brexit" caused to british expats living here ? Speaking for my self absolutely none whatsoever
Have you ever looked at the exchange rate

I have recently looked at the example online tax form , it doesn't specify what type of pension your income derives from. If you have govt pension, under the Thai DTA with the UK it says they would not be assessible for tax in Thailand but how do you apply this information to the online form so you would not be taxed. Should i visit my local tax office to try to get some information on this, anyone have any thoughts, maybe Mike Lister .

In UK, and I would imagine other countries, on approaching red traffic lights, you slow down and approach with caution and proceed if safe to do so. If approaching the road is blocked and unable to proceed then turn off the siren and wait until able to proceed. You do not approach at foot down speed and hope all other traffic stops as seems to be the case here!!
Driver training is desperately needed in Thailand!! We can but dream.
Spot on worrab, being a fire service DVR I can agree , this is totally correct.

I can't see why the dollar is so strong - weak president - soon to be lame duck, debt to the eyeballs, printing money like nobodies business, high inflation problems, work shy workforce. Fed raises the rates 0.01% and boom its up against all currencies.
Since the £ is stable against the baht - sort of even if slightly lower than was - and down against the $, it quite clearly is a mad strong dollar now.
The Gammon view.

I suspect this is the beginning of the end for Boris. Unfortunately there is no obvious replacement in the Conservative party and no credible opposition (unless you consider the likes of Starmer, Abbott, Lammy, Rayner to be credible ????).
Personally I'd go with Liz Truss or Dominic Raab. Or maybe The Moggster, just for giggles.
Jeez your deluded as well

I would celebrate Boris's downfall much more if there was a sensible replacement at hand. The fear of Dianne Abbot being chancellor,Lammy being anywhere or Corbyn arming his way back in is palpable. Personally I'd like to see that mr.Brexit Nigel Farage be PM. He knows how to get stuff done.
Totally deluded.

Bank of America compare sterling to the Mexican peso, FX speculates don't like Bodgers government odd policies and uncertainties. If your sending sterling to Thailand then it could be a bumpy ride for a while.
My hip is starting to hurt.
