  1. If they dropped their weapons and fled, they have some claim to being refugees. However if they kept their weapons and retreated across the border then they are using, or attempting to use, Thailand as a base for continuing their ugly war. There's a big difference.
  2. What has BRICS accomplished? To my knowledge BRICS has been less influential than ASEAN.
  3. Why? Isn't that the most logical explanation? Especially when you consider Trump's 3+ hours of watching his supporters rampage through the Capitol while ignoring all requests to do something. Only when it was clear that the rioters would not succeed in seizing the Capitol and preventing the election certification did he gently request the "patriots" go home, while repeating the stolen election lie. If you want to believe in a deep state conspiracy behind events on that day, Trump's deep state seeking to overturn the election results is the conspiracy most consistent with the evidence.
  4. Are you suggesting the deep state under Trump was attempting to disrupt the proceedings to certify the election results so Trump could remain President? I don't think so, but it is certainly a more credible conspiracy theory than most.
  5. The cheapest airlines that cross the Pacific are the ones most likely to nickel and dime you on seat selection. Many of them are now flying the Boeing 777 with the ten across seating in economy. It is a flying sardine can; many of the passengers rely on sleeping pills or other aids to get through it. As much as possible I avoid it, even if it means paying a few hundred more.
  6. I'm of west of the old city and can't see the mountains. Definitely a day for wearing a mask.
  7. You can believe that if you want. Better informed people know better.
  8. Correct. Trump wants to deny Biden any semblance of success this year, even if it means more illegal immigrants, more illegal drugs, and handing Russia a tremendous victory in Ukraine. Trump disparages something/someone and his followers go nuts announcing their hatred of that thing or person. Haven't you noticed that? That was enough to shoot down the bill.
  9. I moved on shortly after it was renamed Phillips Lab. Almost all the work was classified so it was a very low-key organization then. BTW: Any classified that I might remember from back then is at least 30 years past its "Use By" date, but I still treat it as classified. That's how responsible military and civil service members behave. Too bad some Presidents and politicians (many actually) can't do the same.
  10. Yeah! Why don't they do something about that? Oh wait, they tried. It was part of the immigration bill Trump told his followers to shut down. "The package also includes bipartisan sweeteners, including the FEND Off Fentanyl Act, which would target, sanction and block the financial assets of people involved in the fentanyl supply chain, from chemical suppliers in China to drug traffickers from Mexico. The anti-fentanyl bill is authored by the leaders of the Senate Banking Committee, Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, and Tim Scott, R-S.C., and it has support from 67 senators." https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/congress/new-immigration-asylum-reform-bill-released-senate-text-rcna136602 "Yet only about 20% of lorries and less than 5% of cars are x-rayed as they enter America. The administration wants to increase that and send more agents to the border to curb both drug-trafficking and illegal immigration. (The two problems are quite distinct, Mr Mayorkas points out: the vast majority of drugs are intercepted at regular border crossings, not carried into America by undocumented migrants.) But last month Republicans in Congress killed a bipartisan bill that would have beefed up policing of the border, at the behest of Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee for president." https://www.economist.com/briefing/2024/02/29/americas-ten-year-old-fentanyl-epidemic-is-still-getting-worse
  11. Jan 6 was one month after the election. That's how time and dates work. And there was definitely violence then. What has the fact that some shops boarded up in anticipation of possible violence in the run up have to do with the topic?
  12. No violence from Trumpers after the 2020 election result? Wow! Now that's TDS! Does the date Jan 6 mean anything to you?
  13. Trump watched his supporters rampage through the Capitol for more than 3 hours and did nothing to call them off or bring in the National Guard, in spite of many people trying to get him to do something. Or did you miss that?
  14. You have not proven that I lied. That's another one of your lies. Along with ICBM DT&E/OT&E I did studies I will not discuss in the AFWL/WL/Phillips Lab at Kirtland AFB and I managed the on-orbit testing of the first GPS Block IIR satellite, among other things.
  15. When has anyone been charged by the Justice Department without clear evidence of one or more crimes being committed?
  16. OK Trump fans, pay attention: What Trump is doing is politicizing the Justice System. He's even gone as far as making it a campaign statement. Charging and prosecuting people when there is clear evidence of crimes is not politicizing the justice system. It's what the Justice System is supposed to do.
  17. When did drug smuggling across the Mexican border start? Seriously? My guess is around the mid-twentieth century, when a lot of recreational drugs were made illegal in the US.
  18. My first post was in 2006. You'll have to be more specific. However since it is clear that you can't distinguish between opinion and fact it is pointless to continue.
  19. Where did I post that? How is your "reply" relevant to what I posted? I you are going to make up quotes by me, try to do better than that.
  20. I can prove I served. I didn't say that I did. I won't because the evidence would leave me vulnerable to identity theft. Therefore others may believe me or not, I don't care. I don't repeatedly claim that my service is a fact without providing proof, I leave it to others to decide for themselves if they believe me. You expect others to believe your opinions are facts without providing proof. I'm sure your opinions are facts in your own mind. But only in your own mind.
  21. The difference is that I an provide proof that I serve. You can't provide proof that you know what all or most DEVGRU think. Apparently the distinction is lost on you. No problem, almost everyone else understands the difference.
  22. As absurd as your post is, at least you make it clear that it is your opinion. Can you teach G_Money to do that?
