I would always get a new KR 22 each year but this year at Chiang Mai I was told that it was no longer required to have a new one each year. When I asked at what time a new one was required I never really received a tangibly answer. I will probably still get a new one each year just in case they change their minds.

R.I.P. sir, your advice and wisdom will remain on this forum for others for many years to come. -
Try putting food coloring in the tank and let it sit for awhile and see if the color appears in the bowl. If it does then the flapper valve or one of its components has failed.

We have a mid priced stainless steel sprayer that the pressure changes the more you squeeze the trigger. Purchased at Home Pro if I remember correctly.

Some automatic oiling saws require thicker oil to work properly and might be more prone to leaking when not in use with a thinner oil. I would recommend using normal bar and chain oil it is a little more expensive but not enough to break the bank.

Sadly I missed out on that 600 baht/200ah battery deal and have been watching the market for the last six months. I am using this system as a UPS for a couple of TV’s, fan, and a few lights and normally draw less than 175 watts unless the MIL has her old CRT TV running. I do agree that it is a waste of money to purchase these used batteries for a solar setup that has to cycle every day.

I found these 200ah CALB lifepo4 on Lazada for 6000 baht including a BMS and active balancer during their September 9th sale. I actually only wanted an additional 100ah but I felt buying these would insure I would get at least that amount.

Thank you for the replies.

I currently have a 12 volt UPS unit that uses 4 100ah LiFePO4 batteries. Can I add a 4 cell 200ah LiFePO4 pack in parallel to increase the power/storage to 300ah or do the additional batteries need to match the current 100ah batteries for a total of 200ah?

Chiang Mai Immigration Q & A - Info and reports. (2020)
GregTN replied to JimmyJ's topic in Chiang Mai
I did my extension of stay based on marriage today at Chiang Mai immigration and received great service. Arrived at 8:45 and was out the door by 10:00. -
The expensive ones are the heat pump type that work similar to an air conditioner in the way they remove moisture. They will remove moisture much better and use less energy regardless of the humidity levels. The heater type and condenser types do not work as well when the humidity levels rise. Inverter types could apply to any one of the three types above and are more expensive, more complex to work on, but use less energy. I have the condenser type but if I had to do it all over I would have bought the heat pump type.

US Green Card for Thai Spouse
GregTN replied to Pawpal's topic in Visas and migration to other countries
You can not get a green card until you permanently move to the US. We had to surrender my wife’s card when we moved to Thailand permanently. -
How does a new passport affect the Proof of Vaccine record?
GregTN replied to samtam's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
On my USA passport the first stamp in it references the old passport number and the date it was changed so I would think that should be adequate proof. -
I also took my new passport to the bank to have my accounts updated.

I use 80ml of 6% bleach in my 1000 liter tank once a month that is filled from the village water supply.
-
I use the app and every time I login from a different device from what I normally use like the wife’s iPad I will be required to use the email verification for about three or four times after that sign on. In addition here lately if I sign on shortly after midnight the verification is required as well.

I have a front view Yi model 00D5 I bought three years ago from Lazada that is still working perfectly for around 2000 baht. I bought a clamp kit to install it under my rear view mirror and routed the wires around the trim and down to the 12 volt outlet where you can either just plug it in or run it behind the dash and connect in the back of the outlet to hardwire it.

Documents required to transfer stamps to new passport
GregTN replied to techno's topic in Chiang Mai
I had my US passport transfer done last week at Chiang Mai immigration, arrived around 1:15 and it took less than an hour to complete. In addition to the form, embassy letter and passport copies you will also need copies of tm6, tm30, and your last 90 day report. -

Changing from gel cell to Lifepo4 battery
GregTN replied to GregTN's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
They actual advertise these 200 ah batteries you purchase as “Brand new” but even at 80% of the rated capacity that is still a great price. How did you come to learn they were indeed used? -
Changing from gel cell to Lifepo4 battery
GregTN replied to GregTN's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
I do have the ability to turn the charge off so after it charges to its max I can turn it off. Thanks for that information as I didn’t think about that. I think number two is covered automatically because the inverter shuts down due to low voltage at 10.5 volts and the BMS shuts down at 10 volts. Thanks for the suggestions. -
Changing from gel cell to Lifepo4 battery
GregTN replied to GregTN's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
I found this on Lazada and if I am understanding correctly this setup will provide 12.8 volts at 72 amp hours for under 3000 baht. https://s.lazada.co.th/s.4vjqr Anyone have any experience with this type of battery?
