  1. Transfer(Wise) seems to not be a valid option any more as they advice themselves: "If you know you definitely need a FET, it’s best that you send a SWIFT transfer with your bank this time" as they can not guarantee that the partner bank they are going to use on your transaction will be able to issue a FET. https://wise.com/help/articles/2932335/guide-to-thb-transfers

They also have a transfer limit of 2M Baht per transfer.

Any work-arounds or alternatives? I see a loss of more than 1% by the inferior transfer rates of the banks.

So does anyone have any recent figures on infections in Pattaya.

Chonburi breaks the daily numbers down by the Ampoes. For the last couple of weeks it's in the lower left corner of each day's report and starts with Chonburi City on top, then Sri Ratcha and then Banglamung. So June 13 saw 7 new cases reported in Banglamung.

What is the basis for your 90 day extensions (volunteer, attending a informal school for example).

It would change your address but they might want more than a TM30 report do a change of address to a new office.

It's an "old" elite visa giving 90 days not 365.

I would hate needing to just go back only for the reporting/extension. I guess it depends on the IO if they are going to accept it or not. But what could they do? They can't know if I have a permanent address anywhere else than Phuket. For all they know, I could spend the next decade there.

edit: initially, I plan using airbnb so I would not be able to provide a rental contract...

  4. Hello all,

I am on a multiple visa with 90 days period of stay. So my extension and 90 days report always coincide.

I keep a permanent residence in Pattaya area and filed my TM30 there. This year I would like to spend the winter months in Phuket/Krabi or close by.

My initial thought was to make sure that a TM30 is filed in Phuket for when I am due to report/extend and handle everything there. After a return to Chonburi will I have to do another TM30 for the permanent residence? Officers will clearly see from the visa extension that I was out of province so I am not sure if my "old" TM30 needs to be filed again after my return.

Would be happy for any input.

Are you sure they are not from Myanmar, Laos or Cambodia? There are different rules for them.

Would you have a weblink or anything that could help me reading up on this? Are citizens of these countries able to open their own businesses here? I was under the impression that apart from minimum wages and ease of obtaining a work permit it's the same for them as for all other nations.

This morning my 12 month AIS unlimited 4mbps 2500 deal ended, i was supposed to get a notification text but got nothing, so be careful if you have a similar deal as they then start charging payg.

I was expecting it so signed up for the AIS unlimited 1mbps 1800 baht deal  *777*7329#

So far so good, I'll use my wifi if it ends up being too slow round the house

Is that 1Mbps for unlimited traffic without limiting the speed down to 128kbps after a couple of GB as they do nowadays for most other packages?

I find their website a great pain to navigate and am convinced that this is deliberate.

Another question can be about the legal format of signs.

How do we know if a sign has been put up legally or not?

On highway 7, there are legal 120 Kph signs alternating with blinking number signs, i.e. "90'" surrounded by 4 smaller spots in the corner.

    Which sign should be observed?

Is the blinking one in a legal format?

I think the latter sign is meant to tell drivers to check their blood pressure and keep it under 90?

What about those signs that are obviously handmade ?

The blinking sign I have in mind has the same hight and general layout as the standard signs. So I never had a doubt about them showing the legal speed limit for that stretch of road.

However, to add to the confusion, mostly around Bangkok area and often on the elevated expressways, there are about 4 or more meters high, black, "electronic" signs. They always show 80 in yellow print on a black background.

Does anybody have an idea about those? are they legally binding?
