  1. Thailand and the US hold annual military exercises in Thailand called Cobra Gold..... Yes you are missing something ????
  2. Just do it online, pretty straightforward although as is normal in Thailand you have to physically send them the paperwork through the post, they don't accept electronic copies. I needed on for a visa to Australia, took around 2 months early last year I think - https://pcscenter.sbpolice.go.th/en
  3. Globalstar is primarily used by business for safety of personnel or monitoring/ tracking of a wide range of assets - trucks, containers, of and has a few 10's of kilobits bandwidth. Because it's in LEO, it needs a significant number of ground stations as each satellite is in view of a single ground station for around 10 mins. Apple are also using Globalstar to offer their SOS emergency set service where there is no terrestrial coverage. There is nothing secret about it!
  4. I have a 100Mb/s connection and I get pretty much that. From what I understand, all it does is use make the UK server think that you are in the UK, not by creating a VPN but by simply altering the DNS - Domain Name System. This link probably explains it a lot better than I can https://www.itproportal.com/features/what-is-smartdns-and-five-situations-where-you-may-need-it/ I use https://www.smartdnsproxy.com who offer a 14 days trial for free, more importantly you don't have to give them your credit card for this. Anyway it works for me so worth a go I'm sure
  5. To watch iplayer or any other UK streaming service I use SmartDNS. Yes its not as 'secure' as vpn but I find that the speeds are far better so the video quality is better. Not saying its better or worse than a vpn but for streaming UK tv it is better for me. Caveat I also use 2 x VPN's for other applications - 1 is Express which generally works really well albeit it with those 'security' caveats and one is a smallish uk company . Will no reassess the VPN aspect, it's a minefield!!
  6. To be honest 4 aircraft is a total waste of money, they will only have 1 or 2 that are capable of being flown at any time because aircraft need servicing etc. It also means that the proficiency and currency of the pilots will be minimal and only a few will be current on the aircraft (unless they buy a modern simulator as well). In essence they are just toys and will be totally ineffectual should any be needed in combat.
  7. Depends who you listen to, Tim White, the Covid data analyst who tweets as @TWMCLtd, has given his expertise to The Independent. Fourteen nations, says Mr White, are likely to remain on red: Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Egypt, French Guiana, Montenegro, Philippines, Seychelles, Suriname, Thailand, Trinidad & Tobago, Tunisia. “Thailand submitted very little data. Given the fear over mutant strains and Beta in particular, I think Thailand will stay red until it can do more genomic sequencing.” I guess you can pull wool over some peoples eyes but.................
