    "....by manipulating their wording"

    What a strange way of saying that you didn't read the terms and conditions that you paid for.

    try looking at pension companys , they are basically insurance companys , we've now retired you on the grounds of ill health , only for 3 years later , " you no longer meet our requirements for ill health " even though the condition is  getting worse , even when doctors state " this will result in major surgery at a later date " but quacks representing the company state we can not find anything wrong , hmm strange that one even though i underwent major surgery a couple of years later , when this was pointed out , the <deleted> reply " we made the correct decision given the evidence we had , the right of appeal has timed out ,

    Not unusual for them to do the report back date on holidays and weekends.

    You could try on the 11th or wait until Monday the 15th.

    The under consideration stamp allows you to stay in the country until your application is approved. The report back date is just that and is not the end of the under consideration period.

    Happened to me last year. Turned on the first  date after holiday. They said under consideration not yet ready come back in three weeks (no further stamp added to my passport) the extension of stay was finally put in my passport eight weeks after due date

  3. My view. I'm on extension based on marriage. I  keep the 400.000bht in a fixed deposit account. With the thought process of in case of health issues (of which I have a few) I've been ripped off by insurance company's twice in the past (refusing to pay ,by manipulating their wording) I just re invest when it matures taking the interest.

    Thanks everyone! Very helpful indeed. I'll find a peaceful day with the wife to go.

    @VocalNeal
    Thanks for that list. Just to double check, the marriage certificate is that document with flowery borders (see attached example) signed by the amphur @ wedding ceremony? Or is there a different one?

    cheers

    No you would not be able to do that. There is a mandatory period of time between divorce and remarriage. It is possible to get around that requirement by proving your new wife is not pregnant or is unable to have children.

    Joe you have just come up with the reason why they made me and my wife jump through hoop's when we got married 16 years ago ,translate this and that ,then they made the future wife go to hospital to have all these test's done ,one of which was a pregnancy test ,( i thinking what has that got to do with it all )but yes now i know they wernt just being awkward,  it was because of the time frame from her divorce , cheers ,
