German expat in Thailand faces death penalty for premeditated murder
Prince77 replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
This video sums up the story so far pretty good with some additional background information: -
This story is far from over and I am expecting more news about the motive, mastermind and beneficiaries of this case.

Very much about time that anybody who puts his foot on Thai soil MUST have a competent travel-, health- and accident insurance offering ALL possible accidents or health issues in relation to a corresponding insurance premium - means: if you want to scuba diving, rent a bike or car, para sailing.... any other activity containing higher risks for accidents.... you will have to pay more premium. No insurance, no entry.

Dear Admins - please move or delete if not suitable - thanks. After paying in for 23 years into the social security fund I receive a small amount of retirement money from Thailand. Meanwhile I moved back to my home country (Germany) and had received two payments only. Since October last year the payments were ceased and by accident I found out, that Social Security Office (SSO) requires a proof that I am still alive every October of each year. I got this certificate of being alive from my city administration, however, in German language, which was not accepted by the Thailand Consulate in Frankfurt - they require a certification from the district court or Regional Council, that should be translated by a certified Thai language translator and then all documents should be send to the consulate for their certification. I do not have any contact details to my SSO as those matters were dealt with by my former accountant - as I have closed company there is not much communication. Question: Does anybody has knowledge on how to send a certificate of being alive to SSO or any other ways to provide them a proof (except of flying to Thailand 5555). Appreciate all input in that matter and have to thank you all in advance.

Thailand gym attack: Hastings victim's face 'butchered'
Prince77 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Correct me if I am wrong but if this guy was insured during the time of the attack, the insurance company should cover the complete treatment even if it meanwhile expires. -
Once my driver had an accident while I was a passenger. It was his / our fault and the guy who was injured, who was terrible damaged in his face came to hospital where I visited him. After a few days he was discharged of the hospital and should recover in his home. Our first class insurance was insisting that he should recover at home and then they offered him 20.000.- B.... I had to intervene and insist with the insurance that they paid him well and took over all costs in relation to the accident. Finally the did.

Thailand removed from Germany’s list of COVID-19 high risk countries
Prince77 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
You need to know, that the incoming government consists of clowns - one more un-eductated and un-qualified than the other. The reason on why Germans should not travel is a monetary one: having the highest taxes and duties as well as paying the highest prices for electricity, fuel, .... every cent is urgently needed in Germany to teach the world a lesson in climate saving and inviting all the world to search for their "green" pasture in Germany at the taxpayers expenses. -

They prepare for something which is not yet clearly regulated? Wow - wish they would make a clear statement regarding November 1st on how it will be handled. -
Cabinet nods to Flexible Plus Program for investments by foreigners
Prince77 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I have a registered and fully operational company for sale - only 1/2 million US$ (negotiable) and it will come along with all privileges mention in above post. So - it's a bargain. -
CCSA subcommittee proposes 2-month extension of State of Emergency
Prince77 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
They still don't get it: the risk of spreading the virus for people who are 2 times vaccinated and have multiple PCR tests is close to zero! The nonsense of SHA hotel or quarantine does just not make any sense but probably money for the hotels. -
Open, close, open, close... I wish they would just shut-up to announce their plans until they have a final conclusion and procedure to announce. Anyhow, if BKK will be similar to Phuket sandbox system this will be useless. I have an apartment in BKK and do not intend to sleep in Hotel just to waste money and time.

Defense team, police wants Joe Ferrari tried for manslaughter not murder
Prince77 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
This guy will pay the victim's family and some others. Will not serve any jail time as first time offender. If you want to punish him take away his cars and money - these are the only things which will teach him a lesson. -
The doctor who signed the death certificate should join his friends in the prison cell.

Thailand to gain 31,000 new hotel rooms
Prince77 replied to Jonathan Fairfield's topic in Thailand News
It is estimated that the "black economy" share in Thailand is about 41% of the gross domestic product - it might be lower right now due to the pandemic. However, that money need to be invested e.g. in Hotel properties. Whether they can sell the rooms or not doesn't matter - the property is there and can be sold or liquidated at a later point of time. -
My company is also depending on construction business and we are struggling since 2 month to pay our fixed cost and salaries. No support at all from social security although we paid - in for more than 16 years. It is going to be very serious and all my staff is suffering - hoping it will improve soonest. Otherwise we have no choice but to lock-down. Very sad.
