1) Running out of pages on my Passport but enough to renew my NON-O
2) NON-O due in early June
3) Going back to home country for a few months in July
Question: Should I get a new passport first then get a NON-O or the other way around?

You are correct. New hobbyist and my 1st one
My apologies to Dewalt then it looks like I've been had.
Too bad Dewalt does not actively go after these counterfeit articles
-
This is not a counterfeit. It is a unit branded for the Asian market
10" Compact Job Site Table Saw with Site-Pro Modular Guarding System - DWE7480 | DEWALT
-
I learned the hard way that buying cheap is more expensive in the long run. So I dont mind saving and buy better quality. As they say "Buy once, cry once".
Since I've been impressed with the quality of Dewalt tools and was in need of a table saw, I thought I would naturally buy a table saw from them. What could go wrong?
Since I saw so many positive reviews about the DWE7485 with the ratchet side guide i wanted to buy that one. But not available on Lazada so I bought the DWE7470 instead.
I knew something was wrong as soon as I received it. It weighted nothing. I opened the box and everything was flimsy plastic, flop all over and took forever to square the side guide. Blade adjustment is not square. I should have returned it.
The Dewalt name should never have been applied to this tool. A Stanley at best. It feels like a cheap knock-off. Should have bought a Xylon instead for half the price.
Shame on you Dewalt!

Yes I did buy a Dewalt Driver and cordless drill from Lazada and I do not regret it. I did not buy them from Dewalt flagship store.

Hello everyone, My local lumber yard only offers Durian and Sadow (Sadok). How does one go about sourcing different type and size of lumber in Thailand?

Thank you everyone for your help

Hello everyone, this time of the year again to renew our Non-O visa. We are fortunate enough that our embassy issues a 'certificate of income'.
So because I want to make sure I dont miss any paperwork in this paperwork crazy country, I am reading there is a requirement for health insurance with coverage of 400,000 bahts. Am I misreading this? Is this new as we never had to produce insurance papers before..

Personally would rather wait n pay to choose a vaccine. I do not want the Chinese or Russian vaccine
-
It would be interesting to find out the cost per user per dose. I remember in one news article the Government ordered x amount of Astra Zeneca at 64 bahts per dose.
The I saw a private hospital taking pre-admission for $200 USD per dose. Which means if you are a couple at 2 doses per it would be $800.
I dont mind paying, but not being fleeced.

Hello, we have friends in Myanmar who are thinking about leaving (temporarily at least) to come to Thailand to wait out for a few months to see if things will change - hopefully for the better. They are not Myanmar nationals.
However, currently extremely unlikely they can get a vaccine before leaving as things are at a standstill.
Is there any chances they could come to Thailand without being vaccinated first? They are willing to do the quarantine of course.
Thank you in advance for your help.

'It's a 50 year record! 18 meter tapeworm found in patient in north east Thailand'
Sorry , but isn't that about as medically bad as celebrating being no.1 for say most legs amputated ?
I believe that record is unbroken at “2”.

Thank you everyone for your replies. I have used the link and bought the book. Most helpful. I've also found this:

and share the language to Thai

Thailand has also ordered 2 million doses from China's Sinovac Biotech and expects the delivery of 200,000 doses next month.
That works out to 61 bahts per dose. I wonder how much farangs will have to pay at private hospital / clinics for this?

Can anyone recommend good Thai books / Websites / articles geared for parents on this subject? My Thai is limited so I wasn't able to find out in dictionaries what 'ADHD' in Thai would be.
Your input is much appreciated.

I am surprised at Myanmar ranking. I have been there a few times for extended periods to the North/South/West and while most people are not fluent by any stretch of the imagination, their school system encourages English teaching. It used to part of the English Dominion and it shows in their culture. I found most Myanmar people are eager to try whatever little English they have on me

I recently took up woodworking as a hobby. One of my project is to make myself some Adirondack chairs. At my local lumber yard they suggested some Suhdok (Sehdok?) lumber. Which I purchased - not super cheap but has a nice grain and colour. The also had Durian wood but told me not to use it (Because it tastes bad?)
Anyway, can anyone tell me what Sudhok wood is (latin and english) and what is your experience with it. And is there any other type of wood you would recommend for outdoor furniture? I assume Teak is a lot more expensive?

Hi Folks, due to COVID we decided to wait to renew our two years driver licence and Car Licence (Tax Sticker). Could you tell me:
- Is there a penalty to pay for being late?
- Can someone provide us with a link on what is involved in renewing our two year drivers licence and /or extending to 5 years
- What are the costs involved for doing all the abover (We have an old 4 door pickup)
Whatever info you can provide is much appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Never use one and watch a lot of TV from all over the place.... so try 1st without....
Also Opera Browser has a built in VPN
Opera is a Proxy, not a VPN.
"Opera VPN was mentioned as one of the five worst VPNs on the market, alongside Hola VPN, VPN Gate, Betternet, and SurfEasy VPN."
As per : https://vpnpro.com/vpn-reviews/opera-vpn-review/
Opera used to be my main browser until it was bought by Chinese and since then security is fallen off.

I am about to receive a new laptop that is eSIM compatible. AIS say their eSIM is only for tablet and phones. Is this true? Anyone with eSIM experience in Thailand?
Barring eSIM, I could always pop in a standard SIM card in there. Since I've never done it, is it possible to tie it to my current phone data plan or do I need a completely different plan?
Thank you in advance for your input.

Thank you everyone, it went smoothly. The only hiccup is this time despite the Income Certification letter from our Embassy, they wanted a photocopy of our bank passbook. We dont keep any money in there, just for transaction but that was good enough for them.
Go figure...

Age requirement for spouse follower retirement visa.
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Posted
I read on one of the legal website the spouse follower on a NON-O retirement visa had to be below 50 years old. Is this correct? Retirement requirements with a wife | ThaiEmbassy.com
I could not find additional information from the Thai Immigration web site on this...
Thank you in advance for your help.
