  1. Hello, We are a company located in Southern Thailand, and we are looking for an experienced Unity developer who can work for us for 3-5 months. After this period, you can freely travel around Thailand. We will offer the visa and work permit. Indeed, our fantastic art department has finished almost 60% of the required design work, and we are looking for a Unity developer, who is a responsible, polite, and hard-working individual, who has experience of making an RPG game (that has a level system) using the UNITY program. If you are interested, please send us your resume and portfolio to [email protected] Thank you.
  2. Hello, Can a foreigner purchase a used car with installments left (to be paid for a bit more than a year)? If I can purchase it, is it gonna be that I pay the down-payment to the owner, and pay the monthly installments as it is (in the same way that the original Thai owner would pay)? Because I am a relatively new foreigner here with Residence certificate, I am wondering if the government allows me to take the rest of the installments, when the ownership of the vehicle is moved to me. Any answers, suggestions are greatly appreciated. Regards.
  3. Hello, I actually have 2 questions regarding the "registered address". First, let's assume that I have a driver's license from Chiang Mai (registered address in Chiang Mai), and I moved to Phuket after receiving the driver's license in Chiang Mai. Q1) If I apply for the yellow tabien baan in Phuket, and if my registered address on the driver's license is Chiang Mai, will it be a problem? Q2) What is the relationship between the province on the license plate (car) and the owner's registered address on a driver's license? I mean, if I moved to Phuket with a relatively new driver's license with registered address in Chiang Mai, and if I purchase a second-hand vehicle registered in Bangkok, do I have to change the license plate to Chiang Mai (Not Phuket) because my address on the driver's license is Chiang Mai? (I mean, unless I change my official address on the driver's license to Phuket, I cannot register my ownership and the license plate in Phuket? - or can I transfer the vehicle without changing the registered province (i.e. the car keeps its registration in BKK, and thus keeps the BKK license plate.) Thank you very much for your time and help. I would really appreciate it if any of you could answer my 2 questions. Kap khun krap.
  4. Hello, I found a flight ticket of Etihad going to BKK via Phuket. It seems that the flight first stops at Phuket, and goes to BKK on the same flight. I understand that new rules had been announced recently regarding the entry, but I have some questions regarding the avialbility of etihad as an international airlines option as a foreigner. Q1. If my flight is from the UK (resided almost 2 years), and if I have to change my flight in UAE (less than 12 hours stay at the airport), because I have to use Etihad flight, does it affect my eligibility of no quarantine requirement? Q2. I found the flight (screenshot has been attached) which goes to BKK via Phuket. It seems that it's just a one single flight coming from Abu Dhabi, stops in Phuket briefly, and goes to BKK. Until recently, I was told that a foreigner cannot change flight in BKK to use the Phuket sandbox program. Can I use this Etihad EY430 flight, because I do not need to leave the plane until I arrive in BKK? Your answer would be very much appreciated. Regards
  5. Hello, first of all, I would really appreciate it if anyone could share your own experience of getting a work permit from your own corporation. The reason for my question is, I am not in Thailand at this moment, but I am trying to prepare as much as possible, before I arrive in Thailand. (Because it would be very difficult to be back in my home country again, especially in this COVID situation) I am not married to Thai, and I understand the rule of 2 million baht registered capital and 4 Thai employees per 1 work permit. But regarding the actual injection of capital, each website tells a different stories about the actual injection of the capital necessary for a work permit, and when I was able to have an Online conversation with a lawyer in Thailand, even she told me a different number (from what I've seen on the internet) for an actual injection of the capital to support a work permit. (She was very friendly though) According to her, Thai registered corporation and a representative office of a foreign corporation need a minimum of "1 million baht" to be injected to support 1 work permit. However, many websites state that "A foreign business operating in Thailand (Treaty of Amity company, or Representative Office or Branch Office of a foreign company) must show the evidence of bringing foreign money into Thailand as the minimum capital required by the Foreign Business Law Baht 3,000,000 per work permit." (This sounds like I have to pay the entire 3 million baht to the corporation accountbefore I apply for a work permit, if the company is a representative office or a branch office) With these conflicting information, I would like to hear what your experience was. I assume a foreigner getting a work permit by establishing a representative office or a branch office is rare. So, your experience doesn't have to be a work permit from a representative office or a branch office. What was the minimum amount of "injected capital" when you were able to receive a work permit from your established company? Your experience or answer would be very much appreciated. (It's very tough to find another Thai lawyer to speak with, as I am not in Thailand) Thank you.
  6. Thank you for your dedication, as always. This is really helpful, and I have one more quick question to clarify. So, technically, I can apply a non-b during the standard 30 day extension for a visa exempt entry, but NOT during the 60 day covid 19 extension? (i.e. the 60 days extension after the standard 30 day extension for a visa exempt entry)
