  1. I’m following this due to severe prostatic pain syndrome (SPPC), standing/sitting for average 30-45 min per effort of trying to pee. And the doc believes at 63, Testosterone levels play a significant role, plus all the other quality of life pleasures. ED (no shame) is covered by TRICARE which has tough screening. Two tests: pituitary gland and hypothalamus can be indicative of physiological versus psychology factors “Testosterone: The Hormone of the Testes Testosterone is necessary for proper physical development in boys. It is the primary androgen, which is the term for any substance that stimulates and/or maintains masculine development. During puberty, testosterone is involved in many of the processes that transition a boy to manhood, including: Healthy development of male sex organs Growth of facial and body hair Lowering of the voice Increase in height Increase in muscle mass Growth of the Adam’s apple The importance of testosterone is not limited to puberty. Throughout adulthood, the hormone is integral in a variety of functions, such as: Maintaining libido Sperm production Maintaining muscle strength and mass Promoting healthy bone density Testosterone Production The hypothalamus and pituitary gland control how much testosterone the testes produce and secrete. The hypothalamus sends a signal to the pituitary gland to release gonadotrophic substances (follicle stimulating hormone and luteinizing hormone). Luteinizing hormone (LH) stimulates testosterone production. If too much testosterone is produced, the hypothalamus alerts the pituitary gland to make less LH, which tells the testes to decrease testosterone levels. Disorders of the Testes: Hypogonadism Hypogonadism is a testicular disorder associated with low testosterone. Having testosterone levels that are too low causes a variety of problems, including: Decreased sex drive Diminished muscle mass Low sperm count (reduced fertility) Loss of body hair There are two types of hypogonadism—primary and secondary. Primary refers to a defect with the testicles, and secondary involves a problem in the pituitary gland that indirectly affects testosterone production. The condition may be caused by many things and is most commonly the result of: Aging Defects in the pituitary and/or hypothalamus, such as pituitary tumors (which adversely affect the pituitary’s ability to function normally) and high prolactin levels (too much of the hormone causes a drop in testosterone levels) Medications Testes-based conditions, such as severe injury, and radiation or chemotherapy, can all deplete testosterone levels The testes play a vital role not only in the male reproductive system but in the endocrine system as well. The release of the hormone testosterone is integral to the healthy development of male physical characteristics.”

  3. Hummer, Have you done your homework on the half-life of Testosterone USP 1%w/w or Androgel. Excretion There is considerable variation in the half-life of testosterone concentration as reported in the literature, ranging from 10 to 100 minutes. About 90% of a dose of testosterone given intramuscularly is excreted in the urine as glucuronic acid and sulfuric acid conjugates of testosterone and its metabolites. About 6% of a dose is excreted in the feces, mostly in the unconjugated form. Inactivation of testosterone occurs primarily in the liver. Better time your activity, Good Luck Moon
  4. Skate et al, THank you for the vectors, I looked up USAA and they were advertising that they were NOT doing SWIFT or IAT etc. Bank of America was much more accommodating. Since I am already using it now for the BB NYC BKK method, they said just to go to the international transfer page, enter their SWIFT/BIC code, account code to whom with address etc, amount and press the button on my Safe Pass Code card I have and add $38. I going to give it a dry run this week and see how the code shows up. I also talked to Ms Geroge at BB NYC and said I was going to do the same with her, as all she cares about is that the recieiver's Name and Thai address is on the transfer and see if it works. As long as I can get funds into Thailand, I'm good. I have the DFAS, SS, and DVA letters I got on-line with E-Benfits, MyPay, and the SS site. So all my income is pooled into the same account. NOTE: Sadly, I looked up the average monthly Social Security payment and the Average is about 20-25% short of the $2100 (65,000 THB). If you use the IAT once a month, you'd have to augment it with methods described above: Moon
  5. TD, I agree 100%!. If anyone is really concerned it would be appropriate to write a letter to the US Embassy. The US Embassy is here not only to conduct critical matters of State, but to support and aid US citizens as well. (I have 9 years direct experience with two US Embassies). The Foreign Service Officers (FSO) are above the norm who have to pass a extremely difficult screening process with a pass rate of 20 percent (4 of 5 either move on or try again). The intent of highlighting this, is to remember that the FSOs who read your letter are professionals who do what they are told and to whom the letters should be addressed, Be courteous as they did not make the Immigration Letter decision (Secretary of State and the Ambassador coordinate such things etc). Just state the facts as one knows or has heard (without emotion), explain personal concern as to how this situation may be life changing if a reasonable solution cannot be found, make any positive suggestions to solve this issue and request a concrete response (actions to be done, plan, time frame, etc) by a certain date (as you might be packing out). State if the requested response cannot be appropriately answered, to forward to the next office in the Courtesy Copy List for ACTION. ( 1,American Citizen Services, Notary Services, 2, ACS Section Chief, 3. Political Section, Immigration Issues Officer, 4. Chief Political/Military Section, 5. Deputy Chief of Mission and ultimately the Ambassador. (You put the 1 through 5 Offices at the bottom of the letter stating Courtesy Copy and under the initial attention to: Make sure to Note: Courtesty Copy Addressees listed at the bottom) DO NOT SPEAK BAD ABOUT OUR HOST NATION. WE ARE GUESTS AND HAVE ENJOYED THE HONOR TO SPEND OUR RETIREMENT ETC IN SUCH A FRIENDLY NATION. (Don't write this, Just a reminder when you write). This is just my opinion, at least write it sober.
  6. Skate, Perfect, just what I need with little time to complete. I've never used SWIFT or TW etc, so it's new ground. Bank of America should be open now and I'll give them a call on the SWIFT xfer with a FTT result in my Bangkok Bank Savings Book. Thanks, Moon
  7. Bill, Thanks. this is exactly what I've been looking for. I've been using my BoA from the beginning with BB NYC ->BB BKK savings. I'll contact BoA tonight to see how to set up a SWIFT to my current BB BKK Savings. Once the storm is over, I'll check back on your BoA SWIFT solution. This would all go away if the Embassy were to say or do something to calm the waters. Moon
  8. Do the Math: 65,000 THB x 12 months is 780,000 THB. (800,000) If my condo rent, golf and night life expenses add up to around 65,000 a month, I would transfer 65,000 THB to Bangkok every month, regardless if I had 800,000 in the bank or not. If I had the 800,000 THB sitting in their bank and I'm still sending 780.000 (65,000) per month to live on. So why would one go with the 800,000 route if you're going to be sending that much anyways. My apologies to those who don't golf.
  9. The last part of my post above was redacted at the end. Bill, I commend you for getting this forum going and I am not disagreeing with your documentation criteria or statements to support them. In my posts, I'm focused on how to get my money into Thailand because of Bangkok Bank's IAT rule. 1. Bank of Bangkok NYC - BB BKK is the only bank to do the International ACH Transfer which is what BB BKK says it will accept from BB NYC. 2. I was explaining that it can be done, but with many restrictions about having to open a DIrect Deposit account at BB BKK and use your Thai address 3. So in my opinion, the IAT is too difficult even though it caters to all the agencies in the above box. 4. I've been using BB NYC - BKK for five years and do not know what other way to get my funds to BKK 5. Bangkok Bank is using an old law that they just decided to implement - with in one month of Immigration. It is not the route to solving anything save getting money here. If I wanted to go the IAT route, there's not enough time to use the SF1199 processed etc. 7. Immigration is like a Swamp and can only be dealt with Politically by our Embassies (Political, Econ, & ACS sections). BOTTOM LINE: Instead of re-interpreting, let's consolidate and engage with our respective Embassies requesting their understanding, guidance from State Department, options, and timeline to engage with the Royal Thai Police Immigration to solve this dilemma.
  10. This convoluted situation is due to the coincidental timing of Immigration’s clamp down on financial validation on 1 March 2019 and Bangkok Bank’s decision to all of a sudden adhere to IAT direct deposit deposits on 1 April 2019 have What does Bangkok Bank have to do with Immigration? And Immigration with Bangkok Bank? It could have been the Royal Bank of Scotland or England, and then the UK would be all over this. Bangkok Bank quotes legal adherence to IAT and that’s tough to challenge. Immigration is political and we need to get our Embassy doing it’s job; There’s concessions, reciprocity to Thai citizens in the Land of Freedom. Meet in the middle with the US Department of Treasury backed Social Security, DVA, Retirement checks et al on SF1199. Why would the funds come directly from the USG sources? Once it’t mine, DARN IT, IT’s MINE to choose where proof of sustainability. (You might have to change source accounts to pay off second wife) Bottom Line: There’s an A.. H... in BB. But the solution is in The Political, Econ, and ACS sections to stop it before it starts and throws our lives in a spin. The USG and Department of State work for US. Getter Dun! 11. Each USG agency has preliminary application paperwork and different forms by agency to ultimately be able to submit SF1199a. I went to several Service /Orgs (DFAS), DVA, & SS direct deposit web sites and followed along. One of the first things is to update DEERs, with new Thai data for destination address for Requirements in the IAT direct deposit format. Allotments May or May not need to be done.
