  1. It's time for repainting the house doors and skirting boards etc and I want to have a high standard of finish. Eg.

    1. Rub down, fill if needed, primer bare areas, dust off,

    2. undercoat, 1 or 2 coats,

    3. topcoat.

Visiting most of the superstores i see none of them seem to stock undercoat. When asked, their replies are"no stock" or " no need".

    Their eventual suggestion is:-

    1. Rub down then primer any bare areas then

    2. Top coat, rub down then

    3. another top coat.

Because the top coat is just like a transparent coloured varnish without much pigment, the finished results look poor.

Has anyone else had these similar issues, and if so have been able to find suitable undercoats from other suppliers to enable a quality finish.

Thanks for your help in advance.

  2. The education department announced that many teenagers are stressed out from online learning.

Perhaps they probably have to concentrate more with on line. Maybe class time with easier stress lowering distractions, opposite sex and phones seems to be the normal stress level??

Although from recent observations a teenage relative has multiple windows open, with on line learning going second fiddle to gaming and phone texting. When having to complete written homework the answers are dictated whilst every minute or so stops to massage the hand from cramps. What stress!!!

A younger family member however thoroughly enjoys the on line schooling with great enthusiasm.

  3. I've used my UK issued cards in ATMs over here without trouble for years. Over the last week I noticed processing stops because of "incomplete data" or the transaction stops at the last hurdle for a couple of minutes before giving a time out message. Checked with UK and cards are good.

Has anyone else noticed issues with ATMs or tied to get cash advance in a bank while showing passport and mastercard?

  4. Recently completed my online 90 day for first time, instead of personally visiting the office because of covid restrictions.

Lived in nonthaburi residence for many years and last visit to office was June 2021. 90 day now due so complete online form, get pending notice. Eventually get rejected "need to notify nonthaburi of residence before applying online" was reason.

Surely the June visit address was enough notice before applying online. I note the online instructions suggested site issues and may need to phone local office, ie nonthaburi.

Anyone had any similar issues ?

  5. I managed to get on this new site at 11.10 am. Read through introduction

Click the first foreign residents box, then enter my email address, click next and receive an “error 476 internal server error”

When trying again to enter my email address I get the “email already taken”. So the internal server error logged something.

I tried with another email address and get the same result.

They say they contact you when all details are completed.

Has anyone managed to complete registration yet please?

Hi there, does anyone know what these yellow rectangles represent on google maps please? There doesn’t appear to be any map key references by google and searching hasn’t come up with anything. Thanks in advance

  7. Does anyone in the Nakhon Ratchasima area know of recycling centres or collection of bottles and drinking water plastics please? During the extended lockdown the village I stay in is inundated with this waste. Locals not seem bothered so I suppose it will all “go up in smoke” an glassware dumped as usual.

  8. I can understand this
You must of have bought a reasonable extension adaptor
I would put it down to it having built in plastic safety pieces inside
I have the ones with surge pro. / ect
Pain to get plugs in & thats just for a 2 pin fan

I had similar problems with an expensive extension. The plastic safety pieces jam in the case.
Forcing the plug in eventually damages the thin brass sockets, resulting in loose connections and replacement.
