I have stayed for 5 years on the METV (3 months abroad each year) until Covid started. However, as you correctly stated you need to be careful. In my first year, the immigration officer in BKK gave me a look like I am a serial killer. After my 1st year I entered AND left only via land borders (Nong Khai and Sungai Golock). There are plenty of more options to get your 60 days extension. I usually went to Phu Nam Ron.

Good luck with those Indian tourists. I do not like to generalize as I have worked with good Indian people in the US but Indians from India may be a different story. I remember sitting with my girlfriend at a breakfast buffet in Phuket when a party of 4 Indians refused to get up and did order the staff to serve them. Interestingly, the ethnicities that are disliked by Thai girls the most are Arabs AND Indians. ... No wonder

This is Thai non scientific nonsense. The The BA.4 and BA.5 variants do infect more people than the older omicron variants but they are not more lethal. The reason why we see the hospitals get filled up is just a numbers game. A small percentage of a larger population will yield a larger number of patients.

Overland Border Crossings
Exilerunner replied to fgmr's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Without doing further research, could you share what it takes to cross in Nong Khai right now. Are border runs possible there to get a stamp as I used to for a 9 month multi entry TV? How do you see the timeline of opening in that regard? Also how about other borders like Phu Nam Ron? Thanks @ubonjoe! -

Inside Pattaya’s struggling sex trade amid pandemic and downturn

Thailand is a very tolerant society with very friendly people. People like @JustAnotherFarang should stay far away from Thailand and preach somewhere in the bible belt where they belong. To me those "human" (?) beings represent the real scum on this planet! ????
