  1. Montoclonal antibodies treatment  has proven to be very effective  therapy for high-risk patients  in Southern California.

Admninistered via infusion, like chemotherapy.  Former President Trump raved about its effect on him last year.

He did not mention it by name because he couldn't pronounce it!

Is  monoclonal antibodies treatment available in Thailand?

  2. Slingbox system enables me to watch and record programs from my cable box and DVR in Pennsylvania.

In Chiang Mai, I have a virtual tv remote on my desktop computer screen to control channels, access DVR.

Streaming has been good, but erratic, from 3BB (Fiber) bandwidth.

Looking for a better, more reliable system here in Chiang Mai to watch USA-TV programs.

    Will appreciate your recommendations.

  3. looking for a (new or used) web cam for my laptop, but there seems to be a very limited selection online and none in local Chiang Mai stores.  Any tips?  Maybe a Logitech about 5,000-6,000 baht.

  4. Expat interested in availability of Covid-19 testing in Chiang Mai.

Is there both PCR Virus (nasal swab) Test and Antibodies (blood) Test available?

Do you need to show symptoms to be tested?  Doctor's orders?

Where in Chiang Mai are these tests offered?  Hours of operation?

How long before results are reported?

    Are test costs standard?  Price(s)

    Thank you.

  5. are these big "bowling pin" bulbs just an oversized incandescent bulb, or some sort of "energy-saver" bulb"?

the 250-watt size gives very nice, bright "daylight" lighting - much better than the old tubes, of course.

should I look for equal illumination (measured in lumens) in the newer LED lights?

More expensive, I'm sure, but longer-lasting, and draws less energy to burn all night (12 hours). Right?

  6. our village erected our own concrete utility poles and installed street lights, and our homeowners provide the electric power, all paid for by our dues.

ten years ago, simple 35-inch fluorescent tubes (uncovered) were installed at 60 points in the village, wired together and activated each evening with a solar timer.

the tubes provide minimal illumination, last a decent length of time, and are inexpensive. many of us are familiar with fluorescent tubes ( popularly known as "fai-neon") because these are commonly used in homes.

time for a change. time to go with modern lighting. what's best, most efficient? we have a couple of 250-watt bulbs (bowling pin shape) installed, and the illumination is excellent. same type used on some of the major public roads.

should we consider LED lights? Thanks!
