  1. Seems like just yesterday we had to tell people..umm your ABF with hot dogs looks a lot more like prison food than something you would get at Denny's or IHop....well guess what? I clicked on the link above....bwahaha. You would get laughed out of the junior high, if your students knew you smoked grassy hay. 2%... maybe...thankfully, stuff like that has almost zero value in most places...
  2. You are comparing a commodity to a specialized, regional, ethnic dish .yes, that is apples to oranges. But, if no one will show their great cm weed, I guess they will be shy about their "steaks," too.
  3. In my 8 years on Retirement extensions with the 800k...I did best with CIMB..but that Mae Tae Dai or similar from Krungsri was easiest to document and get processed...the young IO didn't like the FDs
  4. God bless America....wait till you see my steak photos from Walmart South Dakota...
  5. What is a COSMETIC TABIEN BAAN? I got a yellowbook in chiang mai..what a goddamn pain. Nine trips, total. GF was actually helpful. Is a person, who paid for their job, going to be cooperative?
  6. I bought a 30 day CD today..3.8% APR..Bank of East Asia New York ..fdic.
  7. Booze is cheap in Thailand? By what metric? And they've proven they can't be trusted on the pour, or the contents of the bottle. A friend bought some kind of flavored Absolut and it was easily identifiable as counterfeit...bought at Makro, HH, no less. The counterfeiting, recapping, refilling of bottles is endemic. Surprised no one has asked why there aren't boogers on my walls.
  8. Not a Modelo fan, either. Turns out, the Heineken brewed in Monterey, may be the best local beer. 473 ml cans (15.994 OZ), are better than the ones from Holland they sell in the US. More evidence that the long trip is bad for them, even under the best circumstances. Paid 30.25 THB per can..so a bit less than half of Thai prices. But, none of us expats drink much, so the yearly savings are nominal....hahahaha. The Dos XX amber is quite good, and I would take it over Lao dark any day of the week. Sol and Corona seem to be better here, too. And Pacifico is quite possibly better than Tiger. There is also real Guinness around, but I don't know the deal on it. No 3-4 dollar bottles of wine, like US, but more 5-8 us per bottle, and not 13-20 that you see in LOS.
  9. Beer prices Mexico..Corona about 1.50 per liter. My "loom"...17 USD per night...they even use hot water laundry..
  10. Saw CDs over 2% in the US. First time in a few years..10 year 2.1%....
  11. The Mexican beer has quite a bit of German influence. Pacifico beats Tiger.
  12. Heineken? I suppose there is a better Thai brewed beer? Had a good XX amber, and a few Coronas, too...excellent...I didn't realize it was different than us Corona..1 Dollar at a decent cantina.
  13. Snow birding in Mexico....711 beer promos today. Beer prices are about half what they are in LOS. Heineken, 1.65 USD per liter bottle yesterday...
  14. I believe the vape <deleted> the idiots with the loud motorbikes deal and smoke is often some type of bathtub chemist concoction that is counterfeit. The THC products would be very sus. There may be ways to legally buy and possess this <deleted> but it makes one vulnerable to extortion..as has been reported.
  15. About as much as smoking a banana peel.
  16. For a rec user..less than 50 USD out the door...
  17. Prices have come down in a few legal states...but quality is pretty expensive in the other states....and non existent in LOS. That is 14g of Fluffhead...would get you in serious trouble in LOS..
  18. The tabaqueria Filipinos sold in the basement of Siam Paragon grocery store lick and smoke substore are a economy option without mail order...
  19. Interest is headed lower...THB/USD is headed to 36....i am headed to Paraguay (next Winter)..
