All these posters saying what they would have done. If a Farang had stepped up, you would be in jail right, charged with assault and if you had taken away the knife; attempted murder.

I think this is referred to manipulating the currency. Hopefully US safeguards will kick in and raise trade barriers and tariffs on thai goods. Much like the thais do themselves with everything foreign.

Jeeez, all those people just standing there and watching that thing attack the lady on the bike, then just watching it walk away. I've never hit a female but I would have knocked that one out right there and got the lady's bag back.
...and you would of been detained by those onlookers, charged with assault and ended up paying a huge fine, if not jail time. There is no such thing as a good Samaritan here.

Another anti-american rant, well better than previously usual anti-trump rant.

She has ruined her career and reputation for 4,500 baht.
She admitted to the crime. Doubtful charges will even stick. Probably looking at 500 Baht fine and an apology. Now if she was farang, definitely looking at jail time and deportation.

Changed today, changes back tomorrow.

What's " common knowledge, " is that Thai insurers regularly and consistently deny coverage and refuse payment. For 2 years I had to carry a Thai policy that would not cover anything due to preexisting conditions, but needed to have it to satisfy my retirement requirements.

Not following the logic here. If someone tests positive after landing, it would follow suit that everyone else on the plane with this person should also be quarantined. They were also exposed.

Last year Americans and Europeans were the cause of all problems, now Thais love us. Until, the Chinese market opens up again.

The US doesn't recognize dual citizenship with Thailand. If your wife is a US Citizen, carrying a US Passport, she will need to enter Thailand as a US Citizen.

Zero now. Sold the Condo, in Bangkok. Ended the lease in Chiang Mai, Sold the car and both bikes. No Home insurance, no car insurance, no health insurance, no temple donations, no internet/cable, no utilities.
We've already had our 2nd shot of Pfizer, and living comfortably in Massachusetts. Don't miss any of it, a 5 year experiment. It was fun while it lasted, but the Thai government made it clear while we were there, they your want money, but not you.

Moderna is working through back orders. As soon as it satisfied current orders and the orders signed a few months ago for next year, it will be able to satisfy new orders.
Try that again ? CP owns the Thai rights to Sinovac, CP no doubt had to pay big $$$ to get that inclusion from the Thai Government. Of course, Sinovac will be the only drug approved for use in the Kingdom. A lot of brown envelopes, made this one happen. All in all, when Thailand is paying 30% more for Sinovac vs Phizer, and the latter has a 95% effective rate compared to 50%. Simple Thai logic.

Another public wai, " I'm sorry, " (fake tears) and 500 baht fine. She'll be back in business until caught again.

After 7 years in country, with an average ability to speak, read and write. It was my opinion, that Thais themselves would never allow assimilation. As a 'round eye' you will always be considered a farang.

Sounds like someone needs their own safe space from all those Meanies's out there that don't agree with whatever the prevalent winds are blowing.

Go to a garden /nursery /fertilizer shop and buy Cypermethrin powder. It's cheap and naturally degrades in a few days.
Sprinkle it lightly around the outside walls of your house and any other places that makes sense. It's effective against nearly any insect and works within minutes. Trashes their nervous system so they just quiver a bit and stop moving.
You can also mix it with water and spray it around walls and floors. It's pretty effective even when heavily diluted.
I use it to eliminate those nasty big red ants that make war on anything that moves within 5m of their nest.
As with anything like this take care that pets don't consume it although it's not particularly harmful to mammals.
Ditto there. We had an annual ant service, but Cypermethrin sprinkled around the base of the house eliminated everything else. Had to reapply every few weeks, but well worth the effort.

Other articles said that the foreign tourists in question need to be vaccinated (twice) at least two weeks before arrival and not earlier than the months before.
Make sense, sinovac has less than 50% effectiveness. You may just need several shots.

That has yet to be seen. This is the LOS. We don't know who Kae is, the son of a wealthy businessman, prominent politician or has a sizable bank roll. All meaning a 1000 baht fine, Wai and apology.
