I think it has also a lot to do with our financial situation and how much time we like to use for what.

There was a time when I had little money and a lot of time. I searched online and downloaded books, movies, software, etc. Some was good quality, some was bad, some software didn't really work or contained viruses.

Now I pay regularly for MS Office, and I pay for ROON and Tidal. And with that I can rely on my daily used software and cloud services. And I have all the music I want in high quality and well organized. All for relatively little money - equivalent to a few espressos.

If it is convenient and not too expensive then I think it's win/win to pay.

Indeed, paying for books i do (i read a book a day or so on my kindle like device a4 size paperwhite). I pay for them. I would love if it was free. But writers need to make money too else supply dries up. I have less problems downloading movies as big companies are behind it.

As for drinking and driving.. all that do that are just irresponsible putting others at risk for their own gain. I am against it.

I can break rules but only if they just impact me and not others. I am no angel, but would not do stuff like drinking and driving and making a nuisance of myself.

  2. I never was one for American politics but seems its quite rotten over there. No wonder they score lower then Western Europe corruption wise. But it seems to be mainly the Republicans that are corrupt / bad. (been looking at fox and normal news im amazed how fox twist things). If you watch to much FOX your liable to think Trump deserves sainthood.

They are just too afraid to lose the election so they will support no matter what Trump does. There are only a few integer Republicans that voice out against Trump his crimes.

Just like my recent Canadian and British tenants abandoning their 2 year lease early and they got mad at me because I wanted them to vacate at the end of the time that they paid for without giving them extra time for free... I gave them a reduced rent to begin with on their promise of a 2 year lease... learned my lesson... never again will I give a reduction nor will I rent to a Brit or Canadian.

I would include Americans to be sure.  ????

But seriously i just moved homes AGAIN unfortunately. But you got good tenants and bad ones. People who rent out property and expect it to stay new are delusional. Part of living somewhere means wear and tear especially over a longer time. Sometimes the persen renting out keeps money just for wear and tear. That is unfair.

I have a property i can rent out but probably could only get 10k a month. But i think the potential headache would be bad. So i don't and keep it for storage or a place to return if a relationship goes wrong. But if a tenant goes out early and expects money back... tough luck honor the contract and don't do damages because YOU think its not fair. Often read on this forum about people suggesting damaging a home over a dispute. So there are a lot of vengeful people here.

If you are a drug user then you know the consequences.

    no pity from me.

I am a drug user (cannabis and alcohol at times) and I do understand the risks. I have used other drugs too in the Netherlands. I know the risks and if something happens its 100% my fault. I totally agree with you. People should stop shifting blame

@Goat Yes probably what was mixed with it or just stupidity. Back when I was young a lot of XTC was used during these festivals. Problem was that some people just took too much or did not think about drinking enough. (XTC makes you sweat like crazy if you dont hydrate it could do damage). Most drugs are safe if you use them responsibly.

Is there any reasonable reasons Biden still is capable to run? It is a sad comedy of the United State election status of 2024 because there is no one else?

Seriously, how stupid is the American average voters?

Yea i really wonder about American voters. All the lies scandals of Trump and they still want to vote for him. Two party systems suck. In my country we have too many parties. But at least people have choices and are not die hard supporters of one or the other side. Its not as crazy extreme as in the US where they don't seem to care about how bad a candidate is only if he can make their party win.

If you want to call it like that. OK.

In a cashless society, in times of economic downturn, the government could simply impose a daily limit on spending per day/month to stabilize the domestic currency, and prohibit the population from converting their bank savings into other currencies. Such a measure was recently taken for example in Turkey and Russia. Anyone can imagine what such measures would mean in a cashless society.

Right, that will happen. Your dreaming IMHO. The government would never be able to do that. There would be protest. No democratic government will survive something like that. Yes countries that have no democracy will be able to do stuff like that. Democracies not so much.

  7. Wow, it seems Thaivisa posters are a lot smarter then I thought. I expected people to keep defending Trump. I been following this all on youtube and legal channels. Its just amazing how the guy shoots himself in the foot. Acts like a Italian maffia boss suggesting it would better that there is no evidence (to his lawyer).

Still so many defend him, had expected a group of his brainwashed followers on Thaivisa too. I am pleasantly surprised.

I even read that some conservative network is funding add campaigns against Trump. They are republican but are of the view that if Trump runs the republicans will lose.

  8. It just released, can be bought through blizzard. I like it its MMORG that does not stress me out. No rush to level, just to enjoy the game. It is complicated but that makes it interesting. I love playing it on my 48 inch screen. Even though I have a PC i use an Xbox controller for it. I must say better then previous Diablo versions.

I like how easy multiplayer is and how you dont have to worry about the level of other people.  It just evens out so you can play with almost anyone.  Best thing is that i dont feel forced to play it like with world of warcraft where you needed to get stronger better ect.
