  1. You're right, it doesn't exist! And you don't have to pay THB 2900, it's 1250!
  2. I agree with you. For my retirement visa application they asked for: - Certified original criminal record extract from the applicant's current country of residence, valid for a maximum of 3 months (Which makes sense) - Original medical certificate from the country in which the application is submitted, stating that the applicant must not have any of the diseases listed in Ministerial Decree No. 14 (B.E 2535), such as (1) leprosy, (2) tuberculosis, (3) Elephantiasis, (4) drug addiction and (5) syphilis in the third phase

  4. I don't drink when I drive and I don't drive when I drink! As long as every policeman I meet invites me to drink and says that I can drink because there are no checkpoints and if I am stopped, he can protect me from a fine, nothing will change in Thailand.
  5. Now I know why the Immigration Officer was so grumpy today. I was extending my permission of stay for another year in Ubon Ratchathani. The last years it was quite easy. This time he wanted copies of all my passport pages since my first Non Immi Visa and opposite to before he was angry like hell. I assume the worry that they get checked about the connection to agents to0.
  6. Once I tried to pay duty on a second bottle of whisky. I was shooed away by the customs officers. After that, I often brought several liters of schnapps over the permitted amount. Nobody was interested although my suitcases were scanned at the exit.
