Netflix informed the world over a year ago that they were going to start cracking down. That the account is to only be used at your address. That you can no longer share your account with friends & family that are located all over the world. Basically each household has to have their own account. Yes, if you have your account on your laptop, you can view Netflix anywhere, as they look at it that you are traveling or on vacation. However the email account holder might receive an email asking if this is you. There were a lot of people out there cheating the system and Netflix just finally wised up and is putting a stop to it. Sorry, no more freebies, if you want their service you now have to pay for it.

I might be wrong, but I always though if a dowry is required it is paid to the Thai wife's parents, not the Thai wife? If you are paying the money to your Thai wife, then what you did was pay her to marry you, right?

I have had psoriasis since 1990. Over 1/2 of my legs were covered by it, plus back, arms and a little on my face. I tried all of the different creams and they only gave relief from itching basically. I didn't like to go out in public too much. Since I have been in Thailand, I went to the skin specialist at Ram Hospital in Chiang Mai and they prescribed a medicine (pill) called, "Methotrexate", 2.5 mg. I take eight pills once a week on Saturday only. Within 30 days all of the psoriasis cleared up by 75% and about a couple of months later it cleared up 100%. Now, you can't tell that I ever had psoriasis and I can go out and do whatever I want in public. I have been taking this medication for the last 9 years. There was a brief period, about a month where I didn't take the medication and my psoriasis came back. So back on to the medication and everything went back to normal. So if psoriasis is bothering you a lot, go see your Doctor and ask him about taking Methotrexate. He can explain everything to you. As you can only obtain the medication from the Hospital, as they don't sell it over-the-counter. So now I don't have to deal with any of the creams, just take the pills once a week. To me you have two options. Spread the love or be aggressive. Option #1: Be aggressive by getting a squirt gun. Fill it with a bleach & water mixture. More water and a little bleach. When you think you are in danger, then squirt the dog and they will retreat. Option #2: Spread the love. Dogs LOVE treats. So get yourself some dog treats and when confronted by the dogs show them some love by giving them a dog treat. Now they will be your best friend forever. (special note. Make sure you always bring treats with you). Of course, I recommend Option #2, because Love trumps everything.

I just had a tooth pulled two weeks ago at Ram Hospital Dental Clinic and it cost 800 baht for the extraction and 500 baht for the Doctor visit. So a total of1200 baht.

I read the Double Taxation Agreement between the US and Thailand. No where could I find anything about disability compensation. I am rated at 100% disabled veteran and I receive a monthly compensation sent to my US Bank account. Every month I transfer some of it to Thailand. In the US it is not taxed at all at the State level of Federal. I figure it would not be taxed in Thailand since it is a disability compensation. Does anyone know the answer to my question, is it taxed or not?

Some venders allow COD and other venders do not allow COD. When you go to the payment section, you will see if that vender offers it or not. If a vender does not offer it, then you CAN NOT pay by COD. It's real simple and not rocket science. Try a different vender that does offer it.

I believe taking Omeprazole once a day is the route to go. If you eat some of the wrong foods that day that will cause more acid to be produced, then maybe take an extra Omeprazole in the evening. I have been taking Omeprazole since 1990 and it works perfectly for reducing stomach acid. To help with acid reflux, taking Omeprazole and watch your diet helps a lot. I do not understand why the Doctor took you off of it? Here in Thailand I buy the brand Meracid (green box) and it is not expensive at all. I believe you said you were 78 years old, so to actually go and fix the root of the problem, you would have to have an operation. Which is out of the question for your age. As the operation is not a simple one. But the biggest advice I could give you, is you do not want to have acid reflux. So control your acid production by taking Omeprazole and watch what you eat. Of course I am not a Doctor, but I have experienced all of this. Years a go I had acid reflux and I didn't take care of it. I had to have an operation to fix my stomach value to try and stop my acid reflux. But it was too late for me, as the harm from the acid reflux already caused too much damage. When you have acid reflux, which means the acid from your stomach goes up into your esophagus. Your stomach has special lining to protect it from the acid, your esophagus does not. So when the acid goes up into your esophagus, your body tries to fight it, which causes the cells to become abnormal. Bingo you now have cancer of the esophagus. And the odds of making it is like 97% against you. In 1990 I had cancer of the esophagus and they had to remove it. Then they removed my stomach and relocated it to rest above my right lung and of course reconnected everything. Back then this type of operation only had a survival rate of 3%. Out of the 3%, only 1% lived past the first year. I am the only person that has beat all of the odds and have lived 34 years past the operation so far. I am blessed that I am a live and so grateful. I am 73 years old now. When I looked back at everything, I wish I would of taken my acid reflux more serious. Sorry for writing a book.

I know what you are talking about, as I had the same problem with my TV. I feel most average TV's are so-so. You pay for what you get. You can't expect a cheap TV to sound first class. So I went out and purchased me the latest new TV and soundbar to go with it. All I can say is, WOW.... The sound is more then perfect. I purchased a Samsung 75" Neo QLED 4K, wall mounted and a Samsung Q-Series Soundbar with two back speakers and a woofer (HW-Q990). The entire system is top of the line and set me back 90,000 baht. But in my eyes every baht spent was worth it. I am in heaven every time I watch TV or a movie now.

Wrong. You do not want to select Choice 3. It sounds like you didn't read what Choice 3 says on the paper. TH customs DOES NOT send your item back, they "abandon" it. Which mean they keep it. Therefore you will lose all of your money. Their Choice 3 is a stupid policy. I had this exact same problem with a gamer unit called X-Box. Here's something else you might not know. Everyday you wait the storage fees go up, as custom charges you for storage until you handle everything with them. Plus there are a bunch of other fees too. I had to turn it all over to a 3Rd Party Custom Broker. And when everything was done, it cost me way too much money, more then what the product was worth. I wished I would of listened to my son and just purchased the item locally. I wish you good luck, as Customs is a pain to deal with.

You are not a picky person, you just know what you want. I am the same way on certain things. You do know that you can buy the sheets from Amazon/USA. That's where I purchased mind from. You don't have to deal with Amazon/China or any of the Thai stores. When I can't find what I want here in Thailand, i just order it from the USA. Yes it does cost more, but I get what I want and it will last a lot longer then any local products. And I am 100% happy.

I have been using Ram Hospital for over seven years now and have never had any issues with them. They are cheaper then Bangkok Hospital and a little more then government hospitals.

My bank account is in Oregon at Chase Bank and I transfer money every month online to Bangkok Bank here. There is a flat rate of $40 to transfer any amount. The money arrives in Thailand within 24 hours. There were other banks I could use. but to be able to transfer money I had to have an American cell to be able to receive their security code, whereas Chase Bank didn't have that requirement. Very easy at Chase Bank, it takes me about 3 minutes or less to do the global transfer.

Of course he could call, but good luck with that one. I tried phoning with a different issue and after numerous times finally got through. The main reason to go there, is they will give you a bunch of related papers with who to contact locally, checklist on what to do and etc. they are very helpful.

Sorry for your loss. First thing to do is go to the USA Embassy or Consulate. They will advise you on everything that needs to be done. I have a Private Mail Box provider. I use in the US. It's "The UPS Store". Since I have my mail forwarded here I asked them about the letter you mentioned from USPS. They said not to worry about it, as when I opened my account with them I had to submit two picture id's and had to provide proof of a local address. They said all mail box providers are required to do the same thing when opening an account. So they said I was covered.

Maybe I missed it, but you didn't say what city you live in? If you live in Chiang Mai I would recommend "Peera Pharmacy" (095-456-5365). They carry a lot of the major brands that you won't find at places like Boots and etc. I have used them for over 7 years now and trust their medicine 100%.

I have used Grab food for several years now and I hardly ever have a issue or problem. The order always comes in right. They always deliver right to my door. Yes, I will grant you that there are some restaurant (ma & pa) menu's in their app that are totally in Thai, but all of the main places are in English.

There are several places that I know of. My top two favorite places for Thanksgiving dinner is: The Duke's Restaurant and the restaurant at Shangri-La Hotel. Good question. It all depends on what the issue is at the time. I do have a second bank account with Charles Schwab. In case Chase Bank decides to mess around with me, I can do everything through Charles Schwab. I do maintain a address in my home country and a phone number. My USA phone number rings through my laptop and on my Thai cell phone. I do have backup plans.

I have my pension & Social Security checks automatic deposited into my Chase Bank. I do not have a phone app. I just sign into the Chase Bank website with my laptop and click on global transfer and wire money to my Bangkok Bank account every month. No OTP needed. It's a flat fee of $40 and the banks use the "swift" system. The money arrives into my Bangkok Bank account within 24 hours or less. I have been doing it this way for over 13 years and never a problem. I also pay all of my USA bills from the same Chase Bank website. Everything very simple & easy.

Since the teen is 16 years old, than she's a minor and isn't the money suppose to go to the mother for the teen? I don't know if the cut off age is 18 here or maybe it is 16? As no settlements or contracts can be done with a minor. In the USA, if a settlement is done and it is with a minor, (under 18), the money goes to the parents for the minor. I found this: The child is subject to parental control of the parents until the child is legally determined to be an adult. Adulthood occurs when the child reaches the age of majority which is 20 years old in Thailand or when the child gets married. Until this time, parents have rights and obligations to their child.
